I have mixed feelings about this! At dinner tonight I was bad. I could say that I had chicken and that wasn't so bad, but it was that kind from that yummy take out place! I have walked 30 to 45 minutes everynight since Saturday. I am going again tonight, but I think that I will go alone tonight. I have been bringing my kids along but I think I need a break. So I did lose some weight! But had fell a little tonight. I am getting right back on and walking! I have a goal of 30 lbs by September 22. This is when I am gong on vacation! I sure would like to feel less self consious in the plane seat!
So HERE I GO AGAIN AGAIN! I can do this. This support sure helps!
Thanks Everyone!

What! That much weight loss in that short of time is not going to be FAT.....with that said it will be either/or water and Muscle.
Jen, pleeeeeeeaassse don't drop more than 2 pounds aweek!!!!!!! WHY???? because if your losing more than 2 pounds aweek your losing muscle NOT fat, and muscle is what you need to metabolize(burn) the fat. Muscle loss is
very detrimental we lose for a little while alot, but then we gain alot back a then some and don't have the musle to take off the fat!
Eat balance, eat healthy, drink alot of tea, water or carbonated water to lose sensibly and continue walking!!!
Ps I am Fat mama and losing.
I don't think that I am being unhealthy. I am eating well balanced meals and I have even had some chocolate this past week. I have been drinking 2 liters of water evey day. Then I have been walking every night 30-45 minutes. This was just my first week and in my cycle of things the 7 pounds was probably normal. (5 was probably water retention)
With exercising my appetite has grown! I'm just going to keep going like I am. Next week will probably be a more normal weight loss. I am not expecting to lose more than 2-3 pounds.
Is this really that unnormal? I went from being stationary on the couch to walking several miles per night.
Jen,
Keep up the good work. I too am a big loser when I first start a diet. I lost 18lbs in my first 3 weeks. But now I am averaging 1lb a week. Am I discouraged, No. Why? Cause, I am losing, not gaining. :) So don't get discouraged when your loses slow. I tend to maintain for 2 weeks or so and then drop 4-5 in a week and a half. I look at it as my body adjusting to its new weight. I have lost 30lbs so far. You will be there in no time.
Jenna thanks for the vote of confidence! I will keep on going. You are doing great and hearing that sure helps!
Jen:
Keep up the good work girl. A big loss is always expected in the first week of dieting. This in fact is water weight. My first week of weight watchers I lost 8 1/2 pounds back in April and there was no starving on my part.
Jenna if you are stable 2 weeks and drop the other time. Do you retain wate like me? Is there any way to stop it, or is it inevatable? This is my week I'm tellin ya! Tomorrow is also a challenge! We are going to the amusement park for the day! Hopefully I will be too busy with the twins to worry. I did go on a Vendor lunch today and only eat half of the pasta! That is a major step for me! Hoe someone has an answer for the water retention question!
