I lost only 2lbs this week and ended up gaining one and I've been obsessing over it all day long!Still,I've managed to loose a total of 31 lbs and if anyone else posted this message I'ld tell you not to worry about it,get on your treadmill and take a bath. Why are we so obsessed with "the numbers?". I really want to skip the treadmill and just take a bath...oh,it's handweight day.Guess I'll get on that treadmill and do my handweights. Thanks for listening!
31 pounds is substantial - good for you! I have been obsessing this week on the scales too having been stuck at 14 pounds lost last week and then gained 2 despite swimming etc. I was slipping into increased portions at supper time and after denying it as I saw the scales go up realized I have to get back on track again. So now - no more scales until I have been back on track for a week. Sometimes there are all other kinds of reasons for the scales. Anyhow keep up the great work - I hope sometime I can say I've lost 31 pounds!!!

You are doing wonderful! What can easily happen is that you get on the scale, don't see a loss no matter how you've been eating and exercising and "blow it". Undo all the good you've really done. When you are losing weight sometimes the "fat cells" don't shrink on cue. You are using the fat in them but they can't shrink as readily as you want and you get frustrated. Give it time! I once went an entire month (TRUTH) never eating one item off program and exercising every day. I wanted to stomp my feet and scream. (Actually I did just that when alone once). LOL What I did was sit in front of a mirror and had a talk with my body. Told it that no matter if it didn't lose the weight as fast as I wanted there was no way I was going back to eating as I had formerly done. Explained to it that though I was unhappy with how it was reacting to how I was trying to care for it what I was doing was for it's benefit, and that I was going to continue feeding it healthy food and exercising to make it stronger. Might sound "crazy" but it helped me through that extrememly long month. The good news. Between weeks 4 & 5 I dropped 12 lbs., :-). We don't lose the consistent way we would always like, just stick with your program, treat your body well, love yourself and give it time. 31 lbs.!!! The favorite saying from my dear friend lowside was "I may not be where I want but thank God I'm not where I was". You will reach your goal, just take it one day at a time, concentrate on eating healthy and not on the scale.
