View Full Version : Can't Weight to Lose Wait.....Flab to Fit!

Hello All. I have just once again looked at my body and decided, yes..it is time to look like one person again, as opposed to one who ate another person..haha..well maybe not that bad, but getting close.

Here's my stats..I am 5'4 200 pds and a virgo. I feel like I'm writing a personal ad....I like long moonlit walks(well...not long..I get out of breath too quickly for that) and eating out(alot!)

Ha Ha Ha....

Anyway..My ultimate goal is about 135(more concerned with fitting back into a size 8 or 10 though). I have started exersizing 4-5 times a week, with a goal of doing it 6 days a week. I am doing Winsor Pilates, and walking/jogging. I am feeling pretty good about exersizing, since it has been so long since I got off my lazy bum to do it. My big problem seems to be eating too much of the wrong things. I start every day with the biggest resolve not to eat ________(fill in blank with every bad thing u can imagine) So, I am going to start journaling my food and exersize(starting tomorrow..I already blew today). I just wanted to introduce myself and hope that I can get a little motivation in here!!

Good Luck Lenna.. Perhaps it would be easier to start off each day saying I resolve not to eat so much of ________ and gradually get it out of your diet. Sounds like you have a great plan and I know you will do well

LOL hello Lenna, welcome to the forum.
I resolved not to eat out in restaurants too, but have done it 3 times in the last 2 weeks LOL
But, I am still hanging in there!
I like those moonlit walks too, I can go 2 miles now hahaha

You can do it, you are exercising, just make sure what you are eating is what you love. Just use a bit of tough love lol

Just wanted to let ya'll know I am on my way out the door to exersize. Have already done my 20 mins of pilates. I'm gonna walk til I drop!!

Jeni - thx for stopping by. Good point. Maybe not eating as much of ..... will help..I have been known to eat whole pound bags of m&m's by myself:o

birdsong - ahh..2 miles..haha..i think I'd have a heart attack. I was proud of myself friday. I walked 3/4 mile and ran(well kinda...u know fat people don't really look like their running!! haha..so it was more like jog walking??) 1/4 mile. So I can do a mile!! Yeah me!! haha..And this weekend was filled with lovely resturants that don't know what low fat is(or if they do, I wasn't looking in that section of the menu :D )

Welcome, you are definitely going to succeed, I just know it, You have what it takes, the determination and the right out look..........believe your sense of humor will get you threw alot....I only know to well the walking thing but it will come in time......when I first started excersising walking upstairs in my house would leave me breathless let alone running a mile....but now 17 pounds and 4 months later I am happy to say I can make it threw my routines with no sweat........lol welll actually the sweat is pouring off by the buckets. But my endurance gets better with each day today I burned off a whopping 618 calories between my treadmill, gazelle and strength training......About 3mi total, so you hang in gal you will do it. I just know u will:D

Hi Blue Eyez..thx for dropping by. It's good to know things will get better. As for my humor, well..I gotta laugh or I'd cry, ya know what I mean??

I really wish I knew what to do about the darned shin splints. I start getting them about lap 2.....and they just get worse. But I perservere and keep walking thru the pain. But I guarantee that tomorrow they wont start till later in the walk. Happened last week, almost didn't have them at all by Friday. Maybe I should stop taking days off!! haha...

Well, total of 40 mins of pilates and another 25(including stretching) of walking..only a mile, but someday I'll add an extra lap....

Food so far - breakfast 1/2 c. of cottage cheese(lowfat) w/ 1/2 c of pineapple
Lunch - turkey and cheese sandwitch on whole wheat(yummy)
Plansss---Snack - granola trail mix bars-prob 2(only 150 cal each)
Dinner - some sort of frozen dinner-will be at work, and well......I just never feel like cooking!

Not sure how many calories that is...I will plug it into fitday later. Have a great day everyone!!

well..was only 1109 calories yesterday...think i need to get a couple more in there(ya know the whole - dont go under 1200 rule!!)

Note to self- fruits and veggies!!!!!

Well..Yesterday...hmmm..

By telling you what I ate it doesnt sound bad
Breakfast - trail mix bar
Lunch - Chef Salad and French Fries
Snack - trial mix bar
Dinner -2 pc of pizza(mushroom and cheese) and some lo mein

But .. after plugging info in - 2340 calories!!!!
But the good news is I also got in 20 mins of pilates and 20 mins of walking.
Better news. Weight yesterday morning was the same as this morning. So I didn't gain..but I don't see any losses n the near future either..hahahahhahaha

Hello,

it is good to keep a menu to see how were eating. i keep one each day and it helps. i love to walk too. if i dont walk outside i do the inside walk tapes.

Breakfast - raisin bran w/milk and 1pc pb&j toast
Lunch - Tuna fish salad w/wheat crackers
Snack - trail mix bar
Dinner - Penne pasta frozen dinner
Snack -trail mix bar
Midnite snack -(bad bad bad bad!) jr bacon cheeseburger and chicken nuggets.
Total Calories 2063

Exersize - 40 min walk :jump1:
30 min pilates

Well, another weekend from hell..it was Steve's birthday ...I think I ate my weeks worth of calories in 3 days!!! And no exercise and not enough water, and a scale that says I gained 3 pounds. Yuck!!

But today I am going to try harder. I am starting the couch to 5k (http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml) today. Hoping to learn how to run! When I make it through all 9 weeks, I'm going to sign up for a 5k race, jsut for fun.
I'm also just eating fruit today(with some protien of some sort after I exercise) So, for the rest of week, I am just going to concentrate on eating light, getting my exercise in every day for the rest of the week, getting water in, and taking my vitamins(something I have not been doing at all for a really long time..If I remember correctly, I believe the vitamins I have used to help me with losing weight, I guess we'll find out) Am going to try to stay as far away from the scale as I can this week until the last possible minute. Don't want to discourage myself!
