Hello! I am a professional yo-yo'er! In my short 26 years of life, I have managed to be skinny/fat half a dozen times over! I am going to try a few new things this time in order to try to STOP THE MADNESS!

~First I am going to post a journal in here. A way of becoming accountable to someone?
~I am only going to step on the scale once a week, as I have a tendency to become obsessed, stepping on more than once a day, then become dissapointed as i am not seeing big results and fall off the wagon!
~Drink more water!
~I am using fitday to record daily food and exercise.

I started Jan 13th at 215lbs (my highest ever that I know of!)
I am currently at 206 (Feb 10th)
My goal is 135.

Feb 8th ~1080cal~23%fat~19%protein
Feb 9th ~715cal ~ 7%fat~19%protein (i did not mean for this to
be so low, but my day was so busy, i just did not eat!)
~one hour walk with dog and friend
~one hour at the gym.

I am new to Diettalk, and would love suggestions on how to make it work this time!

Take Care!

Thank you so much for all your support here! I Browsed through the journals and some of the other forums, and could not miss the support given to all here if I tried! :) I feel very fortunate to have stumbled onto your site! And congrats on all your successes thus far!

So far today I have been to a one hour deep water aerobics class and an hour walk in the snow with a friend and dog... so far so good! oh and I am on track with my eating...yay!

also... I have made a fitness goal: to do the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail in July! It is a 47km four to five day hike along the west coast. I am determined not to let this beutiful province i live in pass me by... there is so much I want to do.... and I MUST be fit!!!

My Cal's for yesterday (Feb11th) were: 982~9%fat~19%protein

BELL: I agree, I have to vary my workouts as well in order to avoid the boredom!

I work today and find it very difficult to fit in exercise on work days as I leave the house at 630am and get back at 830pm. I am a RN and work 12hour shifts... any suggestions?

Hello All!:D

Today's #s: 904Cals~11%fat~31%protein.
Gym for an hour and 20min
Brisk walk with hubby and dog for 50min!

This is the first time while I am dieting that I have not stepped on the scale everyday... it has been so hard! I am usually quite obsessive with the scale. Tomorrow is weigh in day, and I will be very dissapointed if I havn't lost this week. I feel like I have though, and I have been very good this week.

Wish me luck, Goodnight!

HI All!

So yesterday was good for exercise :D , not so good for food :c( . my husband and I hiked into a natural hotspring a couple of hours from here. I took an hour and half each way, in the deep snow, and quite a ways up the mountain!!! I was such a reward to get there! we lit candles all around the pool, and put a bunch on floating logs... it was soooo romantic!!!:o Anyway, we hiked out in the dark (what an adventure) and were starving! So we stopped at Denny's before driving the four hours home. So my cal's for the day were much higher than I would have liked, but at least I worked some of it off!

Feb 17th Cals:1890~44%fat~14%protein8-| oh well eh?
