Mexico was a blast!! But, now I'm blasting out the bano (bathroom)! My stomach is so upset, and I don't remember drinking any water there. I finally figured it out when a girl at work told me it could have been the plane's complimentary drinks, which have ice in them. :D

So, if your heading that way be careful!

Anyways, I'm finally back from my trip, and it was a really good eye opener to what I really need to do. I realized the real thing that makes me fat is my motivation and attitude toward weight loss (wl). I have been overweight most of my life, and have almost grown content with being 'big boned' or 'carrying my weight well.' I had fun, but my weight got on my last nerve! I could barely find nice clothes to fit me because they don't carry women sizes like the States. It was so disheartening! The trip showed me so much about myself, and just to think...I wasn't going to go...:)

I'm not sure how much I weigh right now, but I feel bigger! I barely ate that much down there, and I walked like crazy! My friend and I eventually started calling our sandals Jesus zapatos!
They were worn out like we had walked around the world in those bad boys.

Since I have a hard time staying motivated at times, I made a little workout schedule that would help keep working out interesting:
3 x a week: Step Video
2 x a week: Walking
4 x a week: Strength training/toning

Just gotta work on my eating, which is quite tough. What really works for me is journaling, so I gotta get back to this....

I wanted to :welcome: you to the Journal Forums ...

You didn't say what weight loss program you are planning on using to achieve your weight loss goals ....

But whatever your choices ... make it a program THAT YOU CAN LIVE WITH ... not only to achieve your goals but to successfully lose your weight in a healthy and permanent way.

Again :welcome: to the Journal forum and  to your success. Always, Monica

Actually, I'm not on a diet program. Just the basic exercising and trying to eat healthier! :D I find this is the most effective way to keep it off permanently. So long I looked just to lose the weight instead of thinking about just being fit and healthy.

As for Mexico...I was there for 8 days! Went to Mexico City and Queretaro. I went with my school to do volunteer work at a disabled children's home. Boy, we are truly blessed is all I can say after the experience! It's great when you can turn around and bless others who can't help themselves...very humbling experience. Besides that, I stayed in Queretaro, which is such a romantic and beautiful city. I highly recommend a visit there for anyone who goes with their spouse or significant other. Beware the food isn't Mexican-American food, but it is good. I think I didn't watch what I ate well enough, and now my stomach is actually speaking <gurgling> to me! :) I went to the Aztec pyramids, and attempted to walk up the smallest one (the Sol). Let's just say my legs were hurting so bad I was thinking about going to the hospital. :tomato:
Then, I shopped till I dropped, and all the peddlers made me even more hostile towards sales persons because they were a pest! They will follow you till you buy something. It was a festive time!

Thanks all for stopping by, appreciate knowing I'm not just talking/writing to myself! :console:
