Hello!!! I have missed you all so much and i do apologize for not being here to be supportive.
Well the neighbors in the other side of the double block of me are driving me and my husband nuts...
In case anyone dont know they have 7 kids ages 11 to 4 and are left outside not watched most of the time. the yard we share looks like sanford and son and my hubby put up a clothesline for me and those who know me on here know how i am with laundry well she keeps using it without asking and you know me i dont say anything while i scream in my head.
her kids keep knocking on the door to tattletale on everything my 10 yr old son does and to top it off they are very loud even at 1 and 2 am and we cant sleep so we told the landlord and he warned them but not much improvement. i just moved here in aug and cannot afford to move again so dont know what to do.
work is straining too. i work mostly with 2 girls and the one im close with is 21 yrs old and bulimic and anorexic. she lost 80 pounds 2 yrs ago(she was over 200) and is afraid of regaining wt. i am trying to help her.
and ,me im the opposite cuz all i do is eat.
i did go walking the other night with my daughter so i hope with the warm weather i feel motivated cuz i weigh what i did when i started ww 2 yrs ago and had lost 50 pounds so its quite depressing.
the kids are good. my 14 yr old has gotten all honor rolls and will take honors classes next yr. she is so boy crazy too,
my son has improved and my middle girl was getting in trouble but after much groundation is doing better.
i signed her up for cheerleading and my son for football so in july it all starts and i will be super busy.
well going for now. will try to journal more.
Take care,
Sandy
monicapink 04-20-04, 12:13 AM I just wanted to say hello ... saw you started a new Journal and I wanted to make sure I caught up with how you were doing ....
I'm glad to see you back .... and hopefully things will straighten out with your neighbor .... have you ever just talked to her .... sometimes that helps ... and especially since she has such a large family ... maybe she would appreciate a friend. Make it a great evening. Take care and :welcome: back. Always, Monica
Minnie mouse 04-21-04, 09:31 AM Hello! I am glad to be back and at least journaling. Tried talking to the neighbor and her boyfriend a million times. husband asked nicely about the noise. we dont care about noise but not after 9 or 10 pm especially loud music and kids running up and down stairs. my kids are in bed asleep and we have work. also with the yard, he doesnt help with the grass or upkeep and my husband is sick of it, and my husband put up a clothesline for me and she took over with it without asking and so finally last night my husband went and told her about it so she put a line up but there is tension here now between she and I. to me its only courtesy to respect the yard and such since we share it. My son has a trampoline in the yard and they dont even ask to use it or to use his toys and i am hoping this summer doesnt escalate the problem.
anyways with warmer weather coming am hoping to exercise more and trying to eat better.
well thats it for now.
enjoy the day and take care :)
HI Minnie
You know minnie maybe you want to chance just being very firm with these people! Tell them "don't use the toys etc without permission", tell them "its your yard too - help with it". and keep telling them to be quiet after certain hours.......they will either settle down or move, or if it gets worse then the police would need to get involved.
Just my :2
Happy your back here at DT - hope to see you around :)

maximum 04-21-04, 12:40 PM Hi MIN-NERS
So glad to see you back.... You'll know inside when you are ready to be ready for you! ;) Sometimes reading other journals helps to motivate....
Take care Sweetie, Glad to see you back! :flower:
Hi Minnie,
the situation with the neighbours must you drive you up the wall! Its hard to know how to approach it because often with people like that when they know they are irritating you it amuses them even more..i hope things improve soon..maybe they will move out?????if only they would, nobody should have to put up with that!
You are a good friend to be helping the girl struggling with bulimia...i am sure she appreciates it.
Good luck with getting the eating back on track..keep walking and making the small changes and it will all come together.
hugs bell :)
Minnie mouse 04-22-04, 09:46 AM Good Morning,
Gotta get going soon cuz my son has a dentist appt. I swear i am so busy of late. I have to reschedule my girls eye appts because my sons school orientation lands the same night and time. He will go to 5th grade and its a different building so they do an orientation.
This weekend kids are going to there dads. on sunday i am going to the scranton cultural center with my mom, sis and aunt to see Grease live. my mom is thrilled frankie Avalon will be there. we love the movie grease so the production should be fun.
Last weekend was busy with my son going to a skating party, my one daughter went to 2 different dances and a birthday and all 3 of my kids went to a dance. the YMCA does a thing called Tweenlight once a month and its kids ages 8-13 and its 4.00 and they have a disc jockey and disco ball. the kids love it cuz they feel like they get a good night out.
Kids got report cards and did good. my older girl still is on high honors.
She went to a baseball game the other night with a boy :(
i gotta prepare and get ready for these teen years, i am stressed and i worry over everything.
Last night both my girls and there friends went to the high school to watch the talent show and my son had friends over.
On may 2 i have my nieces communion and party.
I have a house inspection on May 4th so need to take the day off from work.
I need to clone myself to get everything done.
Last night i was in a cleaning mode and i cleaned for hours. my husband said i needed to slow down cuz i worked all day but i feel for me cleaning helps me beat stress and in the end i have a clean house :)
On top of it all i signed my son back up for football and my 12 yr old for cheerleading. its his second year but her first. so i have a massive lotto fundraiser to do and then gotta sell candy for the cheerleading sneakers and socks otherwise pay 50 more dollars and sign ups costed me 50 plus at lestmy son can use his jersey from last season.
The practices start in july and then games are every sunday and there on 2 different squads age wise so i gotta sit through 2 different games on sundays consisting of around 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
Practices for football are usually mon, tues, thurs and fri from 5-7 and cheerleading is Mon, tues and thurs from 5:30-7:30 so i will be very busy with all that.
well gotta go for now,.
have a super day and talk again soon :rose:

So good to see you. Sounds like you really do need a clone.
Went thru the football thing along with soccer at the same time and it was not easy to get to all the practices and games. Then put 2 girls on top of it and you will be BUSY!
I sure was hoping that the new place would give you a relief from the stress of the homestead. You had my admiration on dealing with the old place and laundry without a washer and dryer. But your landlord must be nuts to not realize the dynamics of having that many kids in a townhouse. Maybe he doesn't care, seeing they don't live next to him.
It is just a shame she couldn't have been more like your age with kids of similiar age to yours. But if you don't stick to your guns you won't have any rights in her eyes. Dr. Phil says people treat us like we allow them to.
I understand the teen scene, and Phil will be getting his license soon. He is still in aviation and getting a small engine license and also going to a certified lifeguard class so he can lifeguard for this summer.
Glad to see you back.
Donna
monicapink 04-22-04, 01:23 PM Reading about all the activities your children are in helped me relive all the years when my girls were growing up .... oh how I miss those days ..... lol even though I used to feel like I was running a taxi service ... I had a yellow Ford Maverick and for my birthday the girls purchased (among other things) a bumper sticker that read MOM'S TAXI SERVICE ..
I think it is great that your children are so involved and that you are involved with them ... imo IT WILL PAY OFF IN A BIG DIVIDENDS when your children become adults ... I know I am thrilled that my daughters have accomplished so much throughout the years ... and although at times it was hard to scrape the money together (because Les was the only one working) the dance, piano lessons plus school sports and activities REALLY HELPED THEM ....
My grandsons are also following suit ... I can't believe that the oldest one will be 21 in June .. and the middle one Drew will be graduating from high school .. time has a way of passing so quickly ...
Take your weight loss journey one day at a time ... I know it appears so easy to say to someone IT WILL HAPPEN ... but you have to believe -- BELIEVE IN YOUR OWN SUCCESS ... YOU CAN AND WILL SUCCEED .. IT TAKES TIME .... IT TAKES PATIENCE .. but you are so worth the time and patience it takes. Make it a great day. As always, Monica

Minnie mouse 05-15-04, 08:05 PM So much going on here, never a dull moment. friday was my last day of work for awhile. The girls have been really making me mad and getting in trouble of late. My 12 yr old was caught smoking with her friend and my step daughter whose 13 and my 14 1/2 yr old skipped school the other day and i just cant get into all of it now. i know there growing up but i needed to take a leave from work to watch them and try to set them straight.
I got a puppy 11 days ago. hes a 12 week old purebred beagle named Luke.
he will not be used for hunting. i love him so much and he is training so well. he sleeps with me and hubby and is like our baby. i get tons of exercise now with walking the dog and all.
anyways the kids got there bikes off layaway today. my older girl is babysitting my niece so my sis could go to the movies.
i just need a clone of myself.
some days i feel so depressed and cry cuz since i moved here my life changed. the kids like it here and all there friends but moving from the country to here they really are overwhelmed and get in more trouble.
my son is doing well. football and cheerleading start soon so hoping that will keep us busy.
well i gotta go.
take care miss you all and whats going on with everyone.
just wish i had more time.
Minnie it is so nice to hear from you, but sorry to hear your having troubles with your kids.........sigh
Sounds like it may be time to put the mom boot where the sun don't shine and the moon won't rest ;)
Hope you figure out how to get their behavior back under control again - for your own sanity :)

This neighbor things sucks. I bet your husband is going crazy because isn't he a macho jeep guy? town life is hard on moms because while your kids are closer to friends they get in more trouble and they get bored more easily. WOW sundays are going to be football days for sure with all you have going on.
You do need to clone yourself girl and summer is just starting.
mcmarto 05-25-04, 09:49 PM Hey...how are you and your family doing?
Hope everything is going well...soon its the end of the school year...what is going on this summer?
mc
Minnie, I have sat here and read your journal...thank God there are not that many pages! Wow! I wanted to say that I like your "diet"...LOVING MYSELF.
I just started loving myself. I'm still new...can't say it's easy but it is worth it.
I have a daughter who is 15 now. When she was 13 & 14 I was having a lot of trouble with her. She was in not just one gang but two...and they were rival gangs and she was in a dangerous position...as both gangs found out and were fighting over her. When I found out what she was up to...I pulled her out of school and home schooled her and forbade her to go out. She used to wear a lot of make up and hoochie clothes. I didn't nag her, I let her wear what she wanted and just spent time with her, and now she doesn't want to go out, and NEVER wears hoochie clothes. She doesn't wear dark makeup anymore, and the "gang friends" don't come around or call or anything. We get along great and she doesn't have a bad attitude. I pay her to help clean the house, (the girl loves to clean...Thank God!) and she gets along well with my son and younger daughter. She is back to playing with them. She has a cat who had four kittens and We got a puppy for her birthday...who sleeps with me and my husband...but we all share her. She is 1/2 shepherd...don't know what the other half is...kind of looks like maybe rottweiler...her name is Duchess. She's about 8 weeks old.
My point is, it can get better. When they know you care, they care. Visit my new Journal Sometime.
I think you're great!
mcmarto 05-27-04, 09:09 PM Hope you have a great Memorial Day weekend...can't wait to hear about what you and your family were up to!
mcmarto :D
stopping by to see how you are - hope all is well :)

Teenage years are exciting and trying. Phil has his license now and is working as a lifeguard and I find myself praying for his safe return home nightly. I just fear a car
accident and him being hurt.
Got pic of him in his prom tux and also got a new puppy, a long haired daschunds named TOBY after redhaired Toby Mcquire in Seabiscuit. The pup has red hair and wanted to name him after a redhead like BOZO but my son didn't think Bozo was good, nor McQuire part of redheaded actor, but Toby seemed to fit. He was born March 17, and still has one more set of puppy shots to get. He is 4.6 lb and has puppy breath.
A girl gave Phil her phone # at the pool yesterday and he was thrilled. Just too funny but good for his ego. I guess I have to let him grow up but I find it hard to feel he's safe. He wants to keep more of his life to himself and resents even simple inquiries like what town is she from. I don't get why the big secrecy. Her name is Emily and that is all I am privy to.
I know Subway was stressful for you but hope staying home isn't making it too financially rough on you. I have this weekend off in case Phil didn't pass his driver's exam and needed to be chauffeured around to work this weekend. But he passed and so he is using the Taurus. Just wish it wasn't such a gas hog.
Gotta scoot. Glad to see you are still online and swinging at bat. I need to get back to going to the gym. I haven't been for about 3 weeks.
There was the Toby we got and Phil driving himself to the gym and not needing me to take him. I can always make excuses. But I won't be as healthy without the gym.
Take care, as always watching for your success.
Donna
