I thought this would be the best way to put all my thought down about this diet or new journey that I am on.
I ate pretty good today. I messed up once but I decided not to beat myself up over it for once. There was a time when once I messed up one time then I considered the diet over and would just begin to over eat again. I refuse to let that happen.
I am trying the South Beach diet mostly because I liked the way you start out really strict but then introduce other foods back into your diet. It seems more like a food lifestyle change rather than a diet. I have tried every other diets, counting calories, Atkins, Weight Watchers (I actually lost 40 lbs on that but put it back on and more), Carb addicts diet, nothing has worked. I am hoping that this will. No, not hoping, IT WILL WORK.
I weighed myself at home for the first time in at least a year. I am diabetic and go to the doctor every two months so I have to hear how heavy I am then so I avoid the scale at home. But I made myself get on it today and I will make myself get on it at least once a week so that I can see what I am doing. One thing I am really good at is avoiding what makes my uncomfortable and needless to say, my weight makes me uncomfortable so I just try to avoid seeing how much I weight.
Another thing I also avoid is exercising, I hate to do it but I took the clothes off the treadmill and walked for 20 minutes. YEAH FOR ME!!!!
One day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute at a time.
