Hello by dear ole friend, DietTalk. I have been slacking and I have to get back on track. My name is Ginger and I am currently 5'3" and 199 lbs. I had lost from 237 to 186, but have gained 13 lbs back. I think it might be due to the anti-depressant medication I recently started taking. I had been going to the gym 4x a week and drinking about 4-5 liters of water and eating a little healthier. I would eat at the same places, but just order or eat smaller portions. In December of last year I hurt my back working out and couldn't get to the gym for about 6 weeks and then by that time I had fallen back into bad eating habits and drinking less water and started feeling sluggish again. So, anyway....enough of my excuses...some girls and I at work have started a challenge that is to last 3 months and I want to win! We are each putting in $25 and at the end of the 3 months, whoever has lost the most weight will receive all of the money. I really really really want to win. So I need YOUR help and encouragement....I will write more later on when I have caught up on some work. PLEASE LEAVE ME A MESSAGE 8-|
Oh, Ginger...... that sounds like an exciting challenge to go for! You can definitely do it and coming here for support is a great way to help you! Just take it a day at a time and do what you need to do for the day. That'll make it seem easier and not get overwhelming.
How's your back now? Better, I hope..... back problems are the pits!
Good luck...... and here's to you winning the whole pot at the end of 3 months!!!!! Go girl!!
Thank you for the message!! My back is much much better now!! Back pain in the worst!!

Hey Ginger! Welcome to DT!
The pool of money is good incentive! You can buy new clothes or treat yourself to a day at a spa. I would be a lot more motivated if cash were involved:) Then again, I am a typical poor college student and would do it for 5 bucks total!
I wish you the best of luck! You're going to do great!
Glad to hear that you're back is better, Ginger..... now you can do what you need to do without having any restrictions. Just watch your portion sizes, drink lots of water and move more...... sounds simple and I know some days will be harder than others, but really it can be about as simple or as complicated as we make it.
Take care and I'm looking forward to getting to know you a bit more..... have a good rest of your day!
