I thought this was an interesting short story to share. My twin sister and I went to the mall and my sister just had to go into a trendy-doesn't sell anything over the size 14-shop. Anyway the sales lady came up to us- as we were browsing (I was just trying to hide) and asked us if she could start a dressing room for us, I just looked at her and said "were just looking, You don't have anything that would really fit us but we like to look anyway" The sales lady said she understood and that she used to be over 200 lbs and showed us a picture, she also stated that she loved to shop at Lane Bryant but now she can't (I should add that she looked to be a size 6 now) I asked her how she lost the weight she said she ate about 1200-1500 calories a day and exercised. Anyway-this really inspired me! Now I know that one day I'll be able to go in that store and have "a fitting room started for me!"

Yeah I cant wait to be able to find lots of clothes in those shops. Right now I can only find some clothes that fit, so I am too big for those stores and too small for plus size shops. It inspires me too, since that is exactly what I am doing too!

I'm not sure exactly how many calories per day I am getting on weight watchers, I just know it by points. But I used to be able to go shopping in stores like that, I can't wait to be able to do it again!

The last time I went shopping at the mall I went into some store, can't really remember the name but it was a snobby high end boutique and I asked the sales lady (who looked to be about a 2!) if she carried plus sizes and she sort of just looked me over and said "We carry sizes up to a 12" 8-|

I feel your guys pain too! Although I know I am not really big, I know that I am overweight. Anyhoo...Wet Seal just opened up in our mall and I had never been in that store before. From their window the clothes looked really cute, so my husband and I went in. I was looking around and found really cute things...that was until I started looking for my size. I am a size 12 and the BIGGEST size I found in the ENTIRE store was a 6!!! I couldnt believe it and I felt really stupid for being in there too!
So, that experience is what helps me keep going when I want to give up. If it doesnt kill you, it just makes you stronger!

That a girl!! :D You gave me an idea, thank you! I'm thinking from now on when I go into those stores, I won't get depressed like I usually do, I'll just keep thinking "stick your diet, kid and you'll be wearing these clothes soon"! Motivation - always looking for motivation... :o
