Has anyone tried the new line of Regenerist products by oil of olay? I have been wanting to try them and been just a bit hesitant as they are a bit pricey. I usually use whatever is on sale for moisturizers, face creams etc. Just thought I could post here and maybe get some input. I am pushin 50 and the lines around my eyes and mouth are getting to be a bit more noticeable. :D Thanks in advance. Sandi

I spoke to a make-up artist/cosmetologist and she told me that the only thing that really matters is staying hydrated and using a moisturizer. Oh, and clean skin but that's kind of a given. =) If you do those things, the hyped up stuff is just a waste of money. =)

Blue Eyes: I use Regenerist (among other things) and like it a lot, but don't know that it's any better than anything else out there. I live in Arizona and work outside a lot and I just like the Regenerist line for a combo sun protection and a little help with the ol' crows' feet ... it goes on very smoothly after I shower at gym. I use the face stuff all over any area that's exposed to sun.

I agree with Timmi. It doesn't matter whether you buy the expensive stuff in the snobby department stores, oil of olay, or cheap off brand, it all pretty well serves the same purpose. No cream, oil, or topical formulas can reduce wrinkles. It's the same concept as stretch marks. I got a sample of regenerist in the mail and it's still in my bathroom, so I'll probably eventually get around to using it up.

I use oil of olay, but only because I like the way it feels. I like night of olay. So if you'd like to try it go for it and spend the few extra bucks. There's no experience like personal experience :)

adding my two cents, cuz I have to....

At a certain point, your skin loses elasticity, period. And there's no miracle cream that'll bring it back. Alot of the topical collagen-y stuff is all hype; really where the "stretchy" fibers (collagen, keratin, and elastin) are found is under what we see as "skin," in the dermis; applying thte "fibers" doesn't reinforce things on a cellular level. The best cure, like with your teeth, is prevention-- hydration, and good general health-type stuff(aka diet and not smoking.) As well, you can keep your face looking its best by cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing.

Thanks all for the input. LoL, I know we can't turn back the clock, no matter how much we might like to at times. But with so much technology and advances in modern medicine ya never know................ That is why I was curious about the regenerist products. I am..........I feel aging gracefully but have really begun to notice my eyes crowing alot more...........LOL! And thought if anyone had used these products with success I might just spend the bucks and splurge. :D

I did a blind product testing study a few years ago. Whatever
the product was I wanted stock in the company. It was
absolutely amazing stuff. Lines faded, skin color evened out,
skin texture was noticeable improved. All in all this stuff
rocked.

After many tearful calls to the company that conducted the
study and realizing that no matter how much I sobbed they
couldn't tell me who the manufacture was I started watching the
shelves at the grocery and drugstores as this was where said
product was going to end up.

Soon as Olay came out with their new line I sent an email
requesting a sample. 99.99% sure it's the stuff. The
packaging is slightly different but the scent, color and
results are pretty much right on.

Keep an eye out for a coupon then look for a store having a
sale. Double dipping will allow you to try it out for not a whole
lot of money.

fwiw my almost 54 year old face Loves the results. :D

Well, people laugh at me when I mention this, but facial exercise really works. I've been doing facial exercise most of my life ... learned about it from a fab elderly neighbor lady a long time ago. You have to learn to do it right, as doing it wrong makes MORE wrinkles (don't do the dramatic face skewing things they teach ya in yoga class) ... there are books out on the subject and I know of at least one video (but it's not a very good one, IMO) ... they are harder to find than they used to be ... it doesn't eradicate wrinkles, but it helps and it improves and de-ages the face, as well as feeling good. But a little Olay doesn't hurt either ... :)
