I'm having a fat and ugly day. Anybody out there feeling the same way? Oddly enough I haven't been that bad today. I ate normal...I think. A slimfast shake in the morning, bagel (plain, nothing on it), grilled chicken salad with cheese and a dash of house dressing (trust me, it was a dash), a bun, a jello fat free pudding for a chocolate fix I couldn't get rid of (someone's birthday at work and everybody was having cake.) and for dinner a small cup of chili. I just came from the bathroom and saw myself in the mirror and I look puffy all around my face. I'm still exercing regularly, but I feel icky today. :(

Hi, I know what you mean, I have been having that feeling for 2 days now...I ate way to much on Sat and I think that is why I have been feeling like this, I hate it, makes me think I have gained 15lbs in one day, which I didnt gain any but it certainly makes me feel as though I have....I went to the gym this morning, and there are mirrors everywhere, made me feel like riding the bike with my eyes closed!!!! :c(

Just a thought, it could be that TOM is just around the corner. That always makes me feel bloated.

Hope you feel better soon.

You could also track the calories using fitday.com, sometimes it has surprised me how quickly things have added up.

No, it isn't. :P If it were I'd just shrug it off and try not to think about it. But it ended a week ago, and I've got a pretty long wait in between cycles. (33 days ish). I think it may be because I'm tired. I worked till 3 in the morning 5 days in a row then switched to 10:30-7 shifts so my sleeping patterns were all screwed up. I slept for like 10 hrs last night though, and I feel much better! :)

Maybe you're getting too much sodium? It can cause bloating. I know exactly how you feel, I keep my "too big" pants around for days like that, or the stretchy pants. Love my stretchies :D lol

OOOOO you know what? I bet that's what it is! Funny you should mention that! Over the weekend I thought I had too much sodium, but I didn't know if it was just my imagination. (I only started to keep track of it this weekend, coincidently when I went over.)

I find my face gets a little puffy-er a few days before my period. I can always tell because it looks a little swollen, sometimes i mistake it but getting fatter, but thats what it usually is.

Take this for what it's worth, but about once every 4-6 weeks, I go through days where I am in what I call a "blah" mood -- I'm not into dieting, exercise, etc. - I'm not depressed or unhappy, I'm just not in a good mood. There's nothing physically wrong with me and it's not that TOM. I realized it when I looked back at my journal and noticed that I would go through these moods every once in a while. I finally asked my doctor and my nutritionist about these -- both responded the same. It really is hormonal and not unusual to go through these moods. The good news is now when it happens, I know the feeling will go away in a day or two and that the key is to stick to my weight loss plan. I guess knowing it's going to happen, makes it easier to prepare for. Either that or I'm really odd.....

I get bloated when I eat too many carbs and feel lethargic. Try eating a little protein for snacks instead of a bagel - which can be 4-6 servings of carbs for some of those big ones.
