I know that a side effcet of Ketosis can be hair loss, I do take vitamins and the such, but I just started within the last month or so to lose my hair. I don't mean the average amount. Has anyone else had this problem, if so what did you do to help it. Thanks is advance :)

I had no idea you could get hair loss from ketosis. I was diagonosed with Graves disease last October. I lost tons of hair because of my thyroid. Maybe get that checked?

I've never lost hair while low carbing.. I find that my hair grows twice as fast..

I had the opposite before LCing. I lost alot of hair every morning when calorie counting. Started lcing and not naymore!

been on atkins since july 5th and no hair loss. but someone told me that they had to quit it because of hair loss. so if i started to lose it i would change eating some. ha well hey hope it gets better and all. that would be scary.. to all i wish a good day. LaDean I am 1.50 lbs away from goal...yehhhhhhh hope to make it friday.

i would go get a check up and talk to the doctor about it. rule out thyroid issues and everything else then go from there.

Joanne. thanks so much. cute. lol i am of this morning .50 away from goal. love it. after 39 years in tops i am going to be a KOPS / i am so excited. my goal before was to low. but all these years i am older. ha ha ha so dr. upped it and i am finally there almost... i will graduate at our Oregon SRD next spring.. to stand up there and be in the circle of Light is a dream of mine finally becoming true. that day in May 2005 i will also have my mothers 5 and 10 year neglace on. in memory of her . she will be so proud of me. i can hardly wait... its my friends like you online that are kops that keeps me going for it. thanks to all. YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE .50 WHOOHOOO.. I was up on stage at our ARD this past Sunday and for the first time represented our group and had the honor?? of wearing the crown.. I'm the Queen of our chapter and they will also be having an in chapter graduation in honor of the KOPS in our group.. We are 4 in a group of 22 that have reached their goal. Myself being the most recent one..

Yes a side effect of ketosis is hair loss, I have upped my biotin and hope that helps. Thanks for your support
