View Full Version : Kelly's November Journal
kmsmit3 11-08-04, 10:46 AM I have a hard time keeping my journal going. So i'm going to try going one month at time. I know i'm a week in already. But that's ok.
November Goals
1) No more fast food, especcially Mcdonalds.
2) Quit Smoking
3) Do some form or physical activity everyday.
I will report on how i do everday to every other day amongst other things.
Looks like great goals. The fast food is a biggie I have had to really watch. With kids it is easy to make a quick stop. Almost did that last night as a treat. Then though, we are not that hungry and have lots of leftover at home. No one really missed it. Good luck this month! :)
kmsmit3 11-09-04, 12:18 PM Hey everybody. I think i'm going to try and start using fitday again. I need to watch how many calories I consume during the day today because tonight my boyfriend and I are going to all you can spaghetti and this italian restaurant. I know, i know. that sounds horrible. I usually dont make it past 1 plate, it's just cheaper then getting anything else there today. But i love this places bread so i want to save some calories for that more than anything.
Breakfast
1.5 pieces of toast - 101 cals
I can't believe it's not butter - 77cals
My bf is coming today, so i'm not sure that i'll be walking to an from school, i'll probably just have him drop me off. I can't wait though, i haven't seen him in like 3 weeks or so.
sbraun- thanks for the comment. good job on avoiding McD's also. McD's and Taco Bell are my big ones.
kmsmit3 11-11-04, 12:55 PM Ok everyone if you want real motivation to stop eating junk/fast food then see Super Size Me. It changed the way i look at a lot of things. this is going to be real quick. i did a long update in the awesome accountables group so i'm all typed out.

kmsmit3 11-12-04, 12:39 PM OK i decided to not go to class again today. I only had one, i needed my sleep, my chest hurts likes crazy. so being do so I slept until 10, which was magnificent. I don't have work today either so I don't have to wrry about calling off or anything. So my goals for today are to clean my bathroom and bedroom. My brother is coming here tonight and my mom is coming here tomorrow. So I need to make sure the place is clean. A little story, I live with the dirtiest girl I have ever met. Because my bf was here tuesday, my bro is coming tonight and my mom tomorrow i wanted the apt clean. I asked her if she do some stuff, so she put her stuff away but still left some out. so last night despite my chest infection i cleaned and cleaned and the only thing left are the 2 rooms mentioned earlier. the only things i left out were a pile of her stuff on a chair what did she do as she walked from the living room to her room to go to bed last night LEFT IT THERE AND ADDED MORE TO IT!! I've tried talking to her and devising a cleaning plan everytime she comes home and realizes i spotlessly cleaned the apt. but she never wants to do it. It's so frustrating. AHH!!!!
ok if i can get through today w/o smoking i should be ok. I'm already at day 3.
Morning girl!! Sounds like you are doing good. 3 days w/out a smoke is great. Just keep taking it one craving at a time and you'll do it! I know you will!!! :coach:
Was on the way to my journal and saw yours there saying "post in me"lol Have fun w/ your family.
kmsmit3 11-12-04, 11:26 PM Thanks mikey for the words of support. Today started out ok. I slept in, i cleaned, i watched lots of food network and got some great recipe ideas. My bf called and told me he got fired from his job and i just cried for him. I felt so bad. It's all because of one word. The dreaded F word. I know it's a horrible word but how can one get fired for using it. He didn't even say it at someone, he said it to himself about a situation. whatever, he may have already found another job. Lets move onto my goals
1) No fast food
2) no smoking
3) i cleaned as my activity, not a whole lot, still pretty sick.

kmsmit3 11-15-04, 10:38 AM Hey everyone who reads this in DT land!!
I didn't keep a good tally on my cals for the weekend. I never do, I should start. But I know I should have done ok. I"m sure I divulged a little, but not a ton. I did smoke over the weekend. And i got that smokers hangover. I hated it. I hated waking up and smelling smoke on my clothes and hair. So i put the pack down again for a week, I made it 5 days last time now lets try for 7. Baby steps. I read this great plan for college kids to quit smoking. It's a weekend plan. You allow yourself to smoke on the weekends if needed for like a month or so. then everyother, then one weekend. then none. Since i'm at tournaments on weekends and everyone smokes at those. Weekends will be my hardest smoking and eating wise. So i'm going to try this. But only allow myself to smoke at a tournament or unless i have a freakout like I did this past weekend.
That's all i got for now, i'll post my counts for the day later.
kmsmit3 11-22-04, 10:27 AM Hey ya'll!
sorry it's been a while. life is hectic. my uncles brother died so now my mom is having thanksgiving. Since i'm not home I have to prepare stuff here for it. Only a little bit of stuff more simple things than like cooking. also this week at work there are only 2 staff member and then some volunteers since all the employees went home for break. so I am hectic since i have to plan all week. I also had a speech tournament this weekend. I had fun. ya know. things are ok. just crazy in the world of Kelly.
