I am the mother of a five year old and three year old twins. Desperately need a diet buddy as I have been *trying* to lose about 20 lbs. for the past three years unsuccessfully. I do work out, but am not fanatic about it - and am going on the Atkins Diet tomorrow. As someone else posted here, my husband loves me just as I am so, although I appreciate that, there is no motivation from him. I would like to find someone similar so that we can help each other through the tough spots.

audra, i am a 33 year old mother of a 9 year old boy, 6 year old boy and a 1 1/2 year old girl. i am also a stepmom to a 16 year old boy (we only see him twice a year) i can relate to you! i started the low carb diet in August and lost 5 pounds. i went off for about a month. then i tried the very strict part of the atkins diet. it was great. i only lost 2 more lbs in the 2 weeks, but a pair of my pants felt better. how is the atkins going for you? i have started something new this week. the carbohydrate addicts diet. i thought the atkins diet was going to be a little restrictive and this one actually allows a little sweets once a day. i also need to lose about 20 lbs. i am 5'3". my husband also thinks i look great, but i don't feel great and i can't squeeze a pair of jeans on from last year(not even close!) very depressing. i would love to be your diet buddy! hope to "talk" to you soon.

hi kim! I'm doing OK, but have a hard time completely staying on the diet - I love sweets, too. Email me, please and tell me all about the carbo lovers diet. Maybe I'll try that with you. I am trying not to go total fad diet - trying more to cut as many carbs out of my diet as possible, while eating salads and vegies along with protein. It's hard and slow going and I am getting discouraged. My goal is to lose 15 lbs. by Christmas and then the rest by Easter.... My email is audra_courier@hotmail.com.
