This is going to be my NEW JOURNAL for 2005!!! Whoohoo!
My New Years Resolution is to be more positive and to be supportive and loving of myself. I plan to pamper me and treat myself really good.
January will have a few changes for me as I plan to go back to work full time...I'm a little scared but a lot excited and we can really use the money and I can really use the health insurance.
I plan to work 2nd Shift and to still homeschool the kids. I hope that they will allow me to work Sunday through Thursday...and that way I will have Fridays and Saturdays to have fun with the Family...(Sundays is automatically $3.00 More per hour....so bring on the Sundays!!!) :D
January means new beginnings...so I am looking forward to a fresh new year...but I'm also looking forward to Christmas.
Tomorrow, is my husband, Tony's, last day of work until January 3rd. I so hope we have a nice cozy Christmas.
Today it turned really really cold...and our heater went out. We do have a 10 year parts and service warranty, so they assured me that we would be completely covered...so thank God!!! When this warranty is up, I will be purchasing an extended warranty!
But the only thing is, they can't get here until tomorrow...which means we will really be bundling up this evening.
:( I think I will put little one in bed with us, cuz she has had a pretty bad cold and I want to make sure she stays covered up tonight..and we will all be wearing sweats to bed.
So??? (I thank God we are not up North somewhere!!)
So, to all of my great friends here...Merry Christmas, Welcome to my journal and ultimately my world.
Have a good night...and remember Nancy's chat tonight...I hope to get in there around 10:00 pm Central and would like to get to know you all better.
Love,
Jessi

Because He is kind of dumb...he went out to buy "CANDLES" to keep the house warm... :deer:

So I turned on the heat vent in the bathroom to warm it up a little in here...and he brings in a "FAN" to circulate the heat out of the bathroom. :deer:

Hey Beth...Yah, the heater people are supposed to be here this morning. It only got to like 57 in here overnight...and husband has left...so I turned on the heat vent in the bathroom...and blew out his candles that he lit before he left...and the house is almost 60. I'm going to let the kids sleep as long as they want...cuz the mattress and covers will keep them really warm.
Soooo??? Not toooooo bad...Just the heater was working fine, til we got the cold snap...and it's a pretty new heater...we bought a whole new central unit about 4 years ago...talk about EXPENSIVE!!!!! But at least we purchased the 10 year warranty on all parts and labor! I asked the guy what we'd be looking at if we didn't have that...he said with labor...anywhere from300.00 to 600.00 without looking at it...just from what I had described the problem to be.
Ouch!
Anyway, the job isn't anything glamorous...but it is steady and will provide an adequate income for me.
It is working at a Christian Call Center that takes phone calls for ministries...like book or tape orders, magazine orders..or prayer. You know...like when you are watching Feed The Children...and you wanna call and make a donation or whatever...you would be calling ME...cuz that is one of the clients.
Sooooo????
It starts at 7.00 an hour and Sundays is automatically 10.00 per hour and there is overtime available all the time...and all overtime is time and a half...and they have never had a lay off...so, it seems pretty steady. If I take the turnpike it will only take me about 15-20 minutes to get to work...so not too bad...I will definitely have to get a pike pass, tho...If I just took the expressway...I could drive there for free..but it would take me about 30 minutes to get there. I might try to scope out a way that I think would be equivalent to the turnpike, but just plain highway...we'll see. The turnpike is 70 mph tho. We'll see.
My best friend and her daughter have been working there for a few months...so at least I will know someone!
So that's the 411 on that. :D :deer: :D

Thanks Jamie! I hope you had a nice one.
We did...It still doesn't "SEEM" like Christmas, but oh, well, we had a nice time. Husband is off work this week...and we stayed up late last night and played Uno Attack (Santa brought us that game for the whole family)...and we watched movies. It was fun...we all slept in this am...I am planning to just do the laundry today and that's about it...the house is clean already...and my step grandson is supposed to be coming to stay with us until the 3rd...so that will be nice.
I'm planning to exercise today...and just hang out with the fam...I did sleep in, but I am still soooooo tired! LOL! Maybe today we'll play some Texas Hold 'em...my daughter got that game for my husband for Christmas and I can't wait to hold the "new chips" in my hands! LOL.
Well, have a nice Monday, all!

I'm still NOT DIETING and am doing good with that. I have been reading some research on THYROID and have discovered that it may be lessened or reversed by good nutrition and regular exercise...which is great news.
I have been focusing on eating more fruits and vegies...and still want to make sure I eat mostly from true stomach hunger, but thought it might be good to journal my foods...Not to count calories...but to monitor that I'm eating good nutritious foods each day...so starting today...I will start listing my foods...for this reason.

2 white corn tortillas with egg and a small amount of pork sausage and a jalepeno pepper.
1 Candy Cane
1 Banana
1 Granola Bar
1 Candy Bar
2 white corn tortillas and some fidel (a mexican dish, spagghetti, vegies and small pieces of pork) and whole pinto beans. and 1 jalapeno pepper.
1 Banana, 1 orange and a half of a grapefruit.
Popcorn
1Peanut Butter Cookie
Coffee with Cream and Sugar and a candy cane
1/2 Peanut butter cookie and a small chocolate chip cookie.

Sounds like you had a relaxing time! Good for you. I am suffering with a cold - BOO HOO! At least I am off and don't have to prepare for a sub. Have two nieces here overnight and will have their folks here tomorrow night. Their mom is having some surgery. A few tears at leaving mom, but they finally settled down and are asleep.

Am off to bed myself. :)

Susan, we've ALL been a little under the weather...All month. My husband is on vacation, so we are all taking advantage of that and sleeping in...I mean late, too! It's soooo nice to be able to really sleep when you don't feel good and all of us need it.
I didn't get up until 11:30 today and I took a nap yesterday afternoon for a few hours. My throat was hurting soooo bad last night, I vixed up really well and gargled and went back to sleep and this morning my throat does feel better.
The kids have been having the same thing.
Husband is getting over bronchitis...he's had that for a few months now.

We will add rest to our prayers and be just fine.

Okay My Eats for today:
Fidel, 2 Corn Tortillas, a Jalepeno, and coffee with cream and sugar.
1 Mint (for my throat)
1Orange
1Banana
fidel and a little turkey, coffee w/ creamer and sugar
Mixed Nuts
A banana w/ Peanut butter and coolwhip
2 slices peanut butter toast
