I am starting out fresh as of Dec. 26th. In Sept. I was at 177 pounds and only 7 pounds from goal. Then we bought a house And moved in The frist of Oct. and that seemed to have made me depressed. I think because I was scared ( this is our frist home we have ever owned) I would not have enough money to fix something if it broke. I am guessing that I felt like if something went wrong it would be all my fault. I am very happy with the house and I am feeling better about it now.
But I have not been very happy the last few months. I guess because I have let my eating get out of control. And I have gain 30 pounds back, also not exercing like I was. I must remember that the last 2 years I was so happy with my self looking better feeling better. I really need to get that feeling back again. I know that only I can do this.
As of today I will try and journal every day exercise5-6 days a week and eat right. Will also try and journal what I ate everyday.
I am only 35 pounds from goal so I know I can do this!!!! 8-| Right! Right!Yes I can!
Breakfast; oatmeal, coffee,1/2 apple = 300 +40 =340
Lunch; 2 grill cheese (fat free cheese)=60
4 lightbread = 140 (35 each)
1/2 apple = 40
Supper; 1/2 rice = 100
4oz of pork = 300
2 cabbage = 60
orange = 60
snack = popcorn = 220 Total = 1,320
IronMaiden 12-30-04, 01:01 AM Good luck! :) The same thing happened to me (depression), and I'm also starting over again now.
Hi Millie.
you have gotten so close to goal before Millie, and you will get all the way there this time.
you have all the tools you need, just keep holding onto that feeling you had when you were so close to goal and eating healthy and exercising everyday...you can do it!
hugs bell :)
Athletea 12-30-04, 09:36 AM It's really stressful to buy a house, Millie, so I personally think you're doing fantastic to have gotten through it and still realize that weight management is a also a goal you want to pursue and that you have the guts to get back on track. Yep, without a doubt, YOU CAN DO IT!!! Like that old song (at least I think it's an old song): WE DID IT BEFORE AND WE CAN DO IT AGAIN! Ta-ra! :cheer:
millie47 12-30-04, 12:27 PM Ironmaiden, Thanks for stopping by. We can start over together! I wish you all the best on your journey!I know we can do this. We just have to keep our selfs on track. Which at times can be rough.
Bell, Thanks so much for the encouraging words! I need all I need all I can get! Congrats @ being @ goal!!! I bet it feels wonderful!
Athletea, Thanks so much for the kind words! I sure pray that you are right and I can do it.Congrats on your loss!! You are doing great!
Well it is early yet, so I will post my day later and food intake. So far I have had oatmeal and coffee.
Hope everyone that reads this has a GREAT day!
geolokim 12-30-04, 12:47 PM Hi Millie!!
Of course you can do it.....just look how far you've come!
Only 35 pounds to goal......you'll get there! Everyone goes through times when they backslide, but you're getting back on track and I know that you'll make it! :)
Millie,
Just wanted to say thanks for coming to chat the other day, it was great to talk with you.
Alot of us are trying to get back on track and we can do it, but must stick together, lol.
As I read this journal I thought that maybe a good idea might be to think about things you can do when that 'stress-monster' comes again. Plan what you will do when stressed, makes it easier to think when it comes, and unfortunately it always comes, lol. But we can control how we react to it. I need this too.
See you around.
millie47 12-30-04, 09:16 PM Kim, Thanks for the support. It is always nice to see you and of the kind words!
Nancy, It was nice chatting with yall the other night. That was my frist time in chat, I am slow at it,lol.

Well I have done real well today. Got in My WATP tape(express) and stayed within my calories of 1,200-1,600. Also on New Years eve went out to a movie with friends had a little low fat popcorn my husband sneeked in. Then he got me some water to wash it down, while they all had FAT popcorn and coke to drink. Then we went out to supper
I stay right with my healthy eating . I had a small bowel of veggie soup, And a grilled chicken with only half the bread. It had only L/T and mustard on it. They tried real hard to bring me French fries or mash potatos, had to tell them no 3 times. I said well if it's on my plate I might eat it, if it's not there I want! My husband and friends laughed and said that's right. then we had to go home, I had to work from 11pm - 1pm the next day.
So here is my food for today
breakfast:
rasin bran cruch cearl w/ff. milk = 300
2 coffee
Lunch:
2 grill cheese = 200 ( ff. chesse 30, light bread=35 each)( ff and no calorie butter)

sounds like a good day :jn
how do you check your calories? do you use fitday or something else...
millie47 01-15-05, 05:00 PM Hi all, well I have done real well with sticking to my healthy eating. also doing my exercing almost every day. I had one bad day thursday but that is behind me now.
Also thursday night I fell and broke 2 toes on my left foot and one toe on my right foot. Let me just say it dose HURT :c( X-( . I just can't belive i did that. Now I need to find a way to exercise sitting down or laying down. It sure is going to be harder to burn those calories. But I am sure it can be done if i work hard at it. I am sure others have done it. I am still journaling my food intake at home. I always seem to not have enough time to log on and do it in my journal here. I hope to get better at this also.
The Dr. is running test on me to see why I am falling so much. I have fell 3 times in less than 2 weeks. I went and had blood work done today and Tuesday evening I go for a cat scan. I thought when I lost so much weight I would not fall as much ( yea right). So hope that all comes out ok. I sure hope they can find out why I fall so often.
Well guess I will close for now. I have lost 12 pounds since Christmas, so that is good. Of a lot of it was water I am sure. But I will take it anyway, lol.
12 pounds since Christmas! Wow thats awesome Millie!!!!!!!!!!!
i am sorry to hear about your broken toes..that sounds painful. i hope that the doctor is able to determine whats causing the falls.
i will have a think about exercise you can do whilst having those poor broken toes..pilates would be ok..weights?
Keep up the great work.
hugs bell :)
millie47 01-15-05, 08:47 PM Thanks Bell, If you think of any good exercise let me know. I need all we can think of,lol. Have a great week.
sweetpea 01-15-05, 11:36 PM Hey that's fantastic - that is sooooo much weight to lose.
re: exercises why not look at pilates or yoga they would both include floor exercises. also can you swim?
millie47 01-16-05, 04:58 PM Hi, Well I have done good so far today. Even did some house cleaning with the broken toes. So hope I at least burned up some calories today.
Sweetpea, thanks for stopping by for a vist. It is always nice to hear from you. How is boot camp going for you? I know you will do great!
I do not know how to swim, wish i did. Have never tried pilates, maybe i need to check that out. Is it hard?
well will check in later, I need to get a shower. But hubby needs to go buy some tape so I can retape my toes when I am done.
