Well, it's 2005 now- and I'm 83kg, not 110, so I'm in a pretty good place :) And I can run 3km without taking a rest- I never could do that back in High School, when they'd make packs of us do cross-country runs! I have many reasons to be quite proud of myself, and my body is getting cuter every day.
But I still have quite a journey ahead of me- I want to get down to 60kg (130 pounds), which at my height (5'7) would leave me with a very healthy Body Mass Index of 21. I'm presently at a BMI of 29.1- no longer obese, 'just' overweight.
For some reason my loss has really slowed down of late- perhaps I have been doing too much exercise (I'm really loving my running!), on too little food. The standard 1400 cal/ day for dieters just doesn't do it when you're _easily_ burning off 1000 at the gym, 5 days a week. (I'm training for a 10km run)
So I'm aiming to make sure I eat 600 calories more than I run off at the gym (I think gym machines over-estimate, in any case!). So most days, that will be around 1600-2000 calories. Easy!!
Let's see how I go..... I hope to get there by the end of the year
