Hi everyone!

I am starting a new journal for the New Year. So far, my year has been extremely frustrating these past couple weeks with work and getting sick. Go figure, eh? I am hoping to post more though. I have been behind in that and meant to actually post earlier this week, but didn't.

I have five months until my wedding day and so far, so good. I worked out three times this week and skipped yesterday and today from recovering from a cold. No fun. But you know how that goes.

The holidays went well aside from eating way too much and spending too much money. I'm doing well though!!

Hope you all stop in and I will post more in the days to come with a daily goal and my diet and exercise regimes as always.

TTFN

Nice new journal, and a five month countdown to Your Special Day means this is a very Special Journal. Have fun with it.

Yes, Wyoming is in the midst of winter now, remember how even your hair would freeze if you went out too soon after a shower? Cold! Brrrrrrrrrrrr.

Keep smiling -

Hey girl! I'm back. I need to start a new journal also. Just havn't had the time. Wanted to let you know I am lurking though. Nice to see the new journal for you! The big countdown is on! It's hard to workout when you feel terrible with a cold. Drink your oj and take your vitamins. I have been fighting the bronchitis for a week now.

I hope to start that new journal soon so keep a watch out for me.

Will be checking back with you soon!

EXERCISE: To be 100% honest, Brad and I have been extremely lazy and busy and have put off the exercising. I know, I know...I'll never reach goals or see results if I don't exercise. What a slacker!

THE SCOOP: Well life here is going well! BUSY! I have not time to post but intend to post at least twice a week and post in everyone elses on Sunday AMs. Nice nice! Work is keeping me on my feet. I ended up taking a different position at Gold's. I work at the Cafe instead of the front desk now. I still get time to write, which rocks. BUT I don't have to deal with some of the annoying management, AKA the one owner who is a real punk and very unenjoyable to work around. It's much better now! ALTHOUGH, the owner of the Cafe decided to hire a weirdo guy who is a bit overbearing, but I am handling it okay I suppose. I figure I only have to really work with him one hour of my day, so no big deal. But I am much happier back in the Cafe, that's for sure!

Second job at Preschool going well. One main teacher is quitting and starting a new job here soon. Kind of upset about that. I really liked her. But oh well...lots of people are contemplating quitting or what not. Even boss said she thought I was quitting as soon as I got married in May and i was like, um...NO. I have no clue what I will be doing in May let alone when I will hear anything from any of my grad schools. So I'm in the waiting game. FUN FUN.

Well, I need to run. TTFN and THANKS EVERYONE for stopping in the new journal. I'll stop by everyone's this weekend for certain!

NEWS:
Hello everyone! Thanks for dropping by my journal! I love company! Been super busy here with work as usual. Trying to get things caught up and done, but it's been nuts. Trying to finalize the guest list and debating on who to invite and who not to invite and quite frankly, I am a little irritated with this list. I wish we had opted for a romantic wedding getaway to Hawaii or something instead of having a big bash. UGH.

Work is going well. I am thinking of working out some in the AM while i wait for customers because I get so bored doign nothing. I write, but I could do cardio for 30 minutes in the mornign and at night with fiance. Sounds good. Deifnitely starting a brand new regime next week though!!!

Otherwise things going good. My sister moved out offically today from my parents home, so that's exciting news. We talked for an hour or so on the phone. I love my sister as much as she is irritable with her ways, but she's a great person.

Well I need to run. I have to go watch my TEVOed shows. OH and I don't think I mentioned this but I am getting published in a small publication down here in Florida. I am soo excited!!!! My first stepping stone into stardom. lol....I can dream!! I hope someday my novel becomes a best seller once it's published. I love to write.

Bye everyone and have a good weekend!

EXERCISE: Yesterday Fiance and I went for a long walk. It was fabulous.

THE SCOOP:

My weekend is going well, other than my obnoxious babies decided to make a huge MESS last night and knock over this glass bowl and it shattered. Scared the crap out of fiance and I last night! Yikes!!

Had a nice day yesterday. We went to this aquarium and enjoyed that. It was nice. Saw dolphins. I love them!!!! We went out for dinner with friends last night which was nice too. People we haven't seen in a while, so that was nice. Today we're going out to dinner with his grams and his great aunt because it's her birthday. So yeah. That'll be fun.

Otherwise, not to much going on. My sister is going through some hard times. She lost her job Friday and is pretty upset but is determined to live on her own and make things work. I think she might apply for unemployment for the time being until she can find a new job. I love her to death and I am really worried about her, so hopefully she will be able to make it. Fingers crossed no doubt.

Well, I need to post and then shower. Have a great day and tomorrow is my new beginnings! Woo hoo!!

Hey Melinda!
I can't believe you're getting married in only 5 months! How exciting. I got your emails. You look like a princess. I love your dress. The pictures looked like your dress had a shimmer of pink in it. Does it? THe train is absolutely beautiful. What a stunning woman you are!

How AWESOME that you're getting published! I told Matt, and he was excited for you too. You're such an inspiration. I'd like to write stories, but I always come up with "better" things to do...LIke watch TV...I need to be more disciplined, like you! :D Anyway, CONGRATS! :D

And yeah, hub's sending in the application(s) today! He looked on the website and there are now two engineering jobs! So keep your fingers crossed. This time next year, and I might be a perma beach bum! :D

Keep up the good work!

(you can still do that getaway instead of the big wedding. you havn't mailed the invites yet) best of luck figuring all that out. I told Jeff he is definately stuck with me...there is no way I could or would ever do the wedding thing again! Way too much stress on a person.

DIET:
BK-Special K, 23 oz water
AM SNACK(S): Apple, granola, 1/2 scoop frozen yogurt, 128 oz water
LUNCH: salad, mixed fruit, 1/2 c pasta 64 oz water
PM SNACK: go-gurt
DINNER: sloppy joes, mixed veggies, cucumbers in vinegar, 16 oz milk

EXERCISE:
small incremants of 5 minutes through out my day at Golds of cardio. Didn't lift tonight, planning to do that tomorrow night as well as two sets of cardio in the AM and PM.

SCOOP:
I wish we had today off! What a waste! Not very many kids showed up today and they combined two rooms so I left at 12:30 and came back at 3:30 to help close. It was okay but annoying too, considering there was nothing going on. But I took a nap and did some housework. Nice.

Our invitations are almost finalized and I am happy about that. It's about time! lol. We're debating on a way to NOT invite annoying cousin's gf. Maybe putting his name only on the RSVP card is not going to be enough considering he'll think oh, she's still welcome so we might put his name and NO GUEST, not in bold letters, but enough to let him know and everyone else, we're serious. That way we don't have to tell him she's not invited, nor tell anyone else for that matter, and it won't start a family feud among his relatives. That would suck.

Well, nothing new otherwise. I am a little sleepy aside from the nap and I am planning to get to work tomorrow AM a bit earlier than usual so I can work out some before I get any customers. Hell, why not? eh?

TTFN!

Melinda :D

MAX-I am only sending you and my sister the best of luck in job searching and tons of prayers and thoughts your way! I know how crummy it is to be unemployed. So frustrating!

RIKKI-glad you liked the dress! I feel like a princess in it and i can't wait to see you girls! You should come out the Thursday before the wedding---Amanda is taking me out that night! It'd be like old times and I could even use that cool balloon lamp again....lol

JULIE-I wish I could escape! You know how many times I wanted to have a Hawaiian wedding? Awe nuts!! Oh well....it'll be perfect despite the imperfections. I am taking stride from everyone else I know who've done this already!!

Sorry you had a crummy day. Me too. I did homework all day. But I did get to the gym twice, so that's nice. I have jiggler arms, and they're tired. Time for bed so I can get up at the butt crack of dawn to make it to my 8 a.m. class.

THE NEWS:

Things here are going pretty well. I have been pretty busy this past week, so it's been nuts. My kitties all have been sneezing so I am assuming they have an upper respitatory infection, so much fun. They're all on antibiotics. Hope they work. They'r expensive little boogers!! 8-|

Well, my week went well other than dealing with annoying boss. You know, some people are so unprofessional. She made some snide comments to some people about two employees and it really discourages me. I don't understand why she did that and she claims to be a true Christian. It's very hurtful. Especially when it's people we really appreciate. So yeah. BLAH!!

Tonight we had dinner with fiance's grams. We made pizza and chicken wings and it was nice. She is mad that we're not making it out to New York next August for his cousin's wedding. We really want to, but we're going to be hurting for cash especially wherever I get accepted for grad school and not to mention our cruise we're going on in September for another wedding for my friend, which we've known about long before his cousin's engagement. I dunno. It's frustrating trying to be everywhere at once.

So anyhoo....other than that, things are going. I am getting sick yet again from another cold. BLAH. I started doing two sets of cardio MWF, once in the AM and once at night with fiance, so I'm very determined to lose the weight. We also went to this Farmer's Market today and had a blast buying affordable fruits and veggies and FRESH for that matter. IT made my day. :D

BUT the BEST NEWS of all is that my cousin who has been stationed in Iraq for well over a year is home for good. I am soooo happy!!! He got a promotion as Staff Sergeant and is looking for a transfer and maybe moving to Colorado. I love him and I am very excited that he's okay. How great is that! I am still keeping those troops in my prayers because I have another friend who will be deployed there in a couple weeks, so yeah. This Iraq thing just sucks.

Need to run though. American Dreams is on so I hope to post again this week.

Hey Melinda,
glad to see you're back!! I was missing you!

Have you heard from any grad schools yet? It's cool that you pretty much get to pick where you want to go. I'm stuck here. But who knows? We might be in a more tropical location someday soon, and I can do school from there! :D

Things have been going pretty good here. How are the 2 a days at the gym treating you? When I started doing that, I was tired for about a week, but after that, I got really motivated, and determined, just like you!! Sorry your boss is being a poo. Why can't there be just one job that you love, where your boss is terrific, all your co-workers are great, great pay and benefits, and in a really nice location? IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK??? Hee hee hee. Did your story get published in the magazine yet? Can you send me one when it happens? That'd be awesome!

Well, sweetie, have a great day.

Oh bad English, bad! Oh well. Not too much going on. Getting frustrated with one boss on letter of recommendation she keeps "promising". Hello!? Grad school deadline next week!! Blah. I already sent the other three and now I'm in the waiting game, but seriously.

Anyhoo, still feeling the blunder of being ill. I know, Max, I know! Everyone has told me about that stuff. I took a break today on the exercise front and fiance and I are going our usual three times a week W, TR, and Friday instead of MWF like we have been. I am getting back in the swing of things despite my cold, so yeah. I just wanted to slow down a bit, relax.

Well I need to get going. I have a million things to do and no time.

Hey Melinda,
I know EXACTLY how you feel about the grad school letters. I'm still waiting for one! A lady I worked with "promised" she'd get it done in a week. That was...um...2 months ago. I've called her and asked if she'd get it done. She said it's done, but wanted her supervisor (who I also worked with) to look it over and make sure she's "Said everything there needs to be said." Just mail the damn letter!!!! X-( I even gave her an addressed stamped envelope. Ugh. How annoying. I hope that when I apply to be a grad assistant that this doesn't happen! At least I know who NOT to ask!!

How are you feeling? I hope that you're feeling better. How's Brad? And the kitties? Mine are doing good. Zanzy slept with me while I watched SATC last night. She just sat in my lap and purred. While anti-social Foxie sat in the hallway the whole time. what a weird cat.

Have a great day.

Lovies!

NEWS:

Well Fiance and I were extremely lazy this past week and didn't make it to the gym as orginally planned for our regular evening workout. BUT it's all good. I still did my cardio in the morning and glad I did too, otherwise I'd feel really big. Like I do now, considering TOM is right around the corner and I feel blah and run down from being sick to boot. This cold has tackled me from all angles and I feel better now, but still, I hate being sick!! It's so not fun.

Had a good weekend though. Fiance went out to play poker on Friday night. So I stayed home and watched TV and slept. I was so tired!! Saturday we went to a movie, Hide and Seek, which was all right. Then we went to dinner and out drinking for my friends 24th birthday, which was really Tuesday, but it was fun. I had a tequila shot and I haven't done that in quite a while,(um, college days?!), so it was interesting. Then today we went to our friends' christening and party afterward. I drank too much and passed out in the car. Or actually, I don't think I drank that much but it must have been enough to plummet me to sleep. Blah.

Tomorrow's another day, a new week, and February is almost here. Hard to believe!!!!

Well I need to run.

We all over indulge every now and then. I too tend to forget and think I can do shots like I used to. My stomach hates me for it. As far as the drinking and passing out... remember you are sick. It probably made you even more sleepy. Get some rest girl! Hope life is calming down a bit for you.

Hi sweetie!
Ah, college days. I remember my first shot of tequilla! I did it so fast, I did it wrong. Didn't do the lime part. Ah...I'm surprised I remember that night. I had to work a night host in Crane, and I remember going down there with a birthday cake my sister had made me. Yeah. Picture me, um..."tipsy" eating a whole cake with a fork. Yep. The good ole days of bad habits! Luckily, those are (mostly) gone.

Glad you had a good weekend.

Keep up the good work!

NEWS:

First and foremost thank you all so much for dropping by my journal. It means a ton!! I feel so loved. Awe!! THANKS!!

Not too much is new here. I took today off though. I have been battling this damn cold/flu for the past three weeks now and nothing is kicking it. I finally gave in and went to the doctor today but felt horrible last night and this morning. I went to my AM job and then stayed home from the preschool for the day. I was so miserable! I slept most of my day aside from watching TEVOed Oprah's I've taped from the past three days. I'm on antibiotics but I tell you what, this thing has kicked me in the butt three times now and I just wish I could get over it and get back on track with my life. It is a real royal pain!!! X-(

So yeah, now I am sitting at home looking over a f#@&*ing phone bill that is WAY too expensive and I am really PEEVED about that. They racked up our bill to be something like 400 odd dollars and were charging us for things that we don't have or that we have free---like verizon to verizon. UM, hello?!! I am NOT happy about this at all. X-(

SO not to mention the run arounds I am getting with the cake lady for the wedding and the reception flower guy. I am going nuts. I just wish things would work out, sometimes. I get so irritated with the way things go and I just want everything to go just right. POOH. But no worries.

The good news is Fiance and I booked our cruise to Alaska. It's a 10-day cruise and I'm really excited about that. It was pretty inexpensive, so I can't complain. All we have to worry about at the time right now is booking our airfare,(which we found a killer deal to Denver, to Seattle, to Denver, to Tampa for 546/person!), so fingers crossed everything pans out.

Not too much else to report. Been busy and I got my publication for my story!!! I am so excited. I have like forty magazines in my "office"(aka the computer desk in the living room) so we will see.

Well I need to run. Talk to everyone soon and thanks again so much for everyone dropping in!!!

Hey sweetie!
Ugh, Phone bills. We had some trouble with ours too. We complained so much, and threatened to switch phone companies, that they were finally like, "Ok, ok, we'll fix it." And then they did! And gave us a 3 month credit. The one time a phone company is actually helpful. (sorry!)

That's great news about your publication! Send me a copy! :D :D :D

I hope that you feel better too. I am starting to feel more like myself. I don't sound like myself. You know that Friends episode where Pheobe has the cold? I love that episode! I sound like her. (only not as sexy!)

Well, exciting news! DH got a call from Kaua'i Co-op...So we'll see what they have to say. I got the message when I got home from school... They're 4 hours behind, so I think he's going to call them back when he gets home from work. Keep your fingers crossed!!!

Have a great one!

News news news...

Not to much going on since I last posted. Relaxing much! I am enjoying my weekend thus far. We cleaned house this AM and then went out for the day. I got my hair trimmed and got spontaneous and put some small highlights in my hair. Yeah I can't believe I did it, but I love it! I look so cute, not to be narcisitic or anything. But I never do anything to my hair, so this was cool. A definite change!!!

Then we looked at jewelry. Fiance wants to get me something nice for V-Day and our anniversary is two days after that and was thinking about a pendant or something. I hate jewelers. They always think they're the best in the area and will try anything to get you to buy their stuff. I told Fiance I don't need any jewerly but he wants to get me something nice and it's really sweet that he thinks of me. Awe...

Anyway, other than that nothing else is going on. I don't even think we have plans for the Super Bowl tomorrow. We might go to his grams tonight and say hi and play dominos but other than that life is pretty stationary at the moment.

Well I need to run. Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend and thought I'd say Hi!

Hey Mel,

Thanks for your visits to my journal.

What a crazy phone bill, I hope you really make them straighten it all out. Can't go throwing money around like that, some places are just crazy. But here is a hint, they seem to jump faster(and higher) when you threaten to take your business somewhere else. So don't be shy.

Ah, planning weddings, pretty tough sometimes. Hope all works out well. Again, most companies know they are in competition with other companies, so use that to your benefit. Don't be pushed around.

Well, that is it for now, lol, aren't you glad!

Keep taking good care of yourself. You deserve it.

Hey Mel!! What do you do?? I read that you got your publications? or something??! Also, I don't know anything about weddings but everyone tells me that things are frantic and then it all falls into place! But a bride is supposed to go nuts about wedding plans, bc afterall it only happens once!! (and then the groom must adore you for the rest of your life!) Awww...

OKAY so I saw "The Wedding Date" last wknd with Debra Messing (from Will and Grace!) and that totally hot guy from "My Best Friends' Wedding!"... well anyways: I loved it, Total chick flick!

Fav. quote from it: "I'd rather fight with you, then make love to anyone else" AWWWWWWWW! lol!

I thought you may like it :)

Good luck with everything!

You are doing so awesome! :dn

Hey Sweetie,
Thought I'd stop by your journal...Wish you good luck on the wedding plans. I remember how hard it was for me...and that was living in the same town the wedding was going to take place!!! :D At least you have a super sexy dress, and you're super sexy too, so you're going to look awesome!

Keep up the good work. And, how sweet of B to want to give you something nice for V-day. I'm not sure what we'll do for V-day. I don't like the commercialization of the whole holiday. We may go out to lunch the sunday before so that we miss the gushy goobers on Monday. (Plus, we'll probably want to be doing "other" things on Monday! :o )

NEWS NEWS NEWS---EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT MEL'S LIFE!

Not too much going on in my neck of the woods. The weather has been so pleasant, it's a shame it's supposed to get cold again. I was just getting used to the short sleeves and capri's...lol.

Work(s) is going okay. Gold's is like a never ending soap opera. Either there's too many inner-business relationships going on or there are too many wacked out on coke and other drugs who work there, let alone, and then deny it by claiming it's their "allergies". Um, no....I'm not stupid. I may be innocent and sweet, but I'm not dumb and far from it. Let alone, naive. UGH. Not to mention one of my close friends there is having a "relationship" persay with one of the trainers who is married. Um, hello?! This is so soap operaish I could write a romance novel and it'd be great because it'd all be true!! It's really quite extreme. Extreme!!!!

And the preschool....fun fun! New employee who is sweet and good friends with one of my co-workers, but is young and has a responbility of taking care of this baby who is just so young. I mean, she's a baby herself. It's really sad. I just hope all pans out for her. And the constant talk of people wanting to switch jobs, etc. I dunno. I'm glad I'm heading to grad school soon because I'd really miss everyone I work with. They're all so great.

Wedding woes I guess....UGH. One of Fiance's groomsmen won't be able to make it out now, so we have an extra tux and need to find an extra guy ASAP. NO fun. So yeah. It's frustrating planning this thing.

Well I need to run. I am going to respond to everyone's posts Friday night or Saturday afternoon!! And post everyone elses too!!! I love you all for stopping by!

MY WEEKEND:

Well can't complain. HAPPY LOVE DAY a day early. Not that it's going to be anything special. We'll be sitting at a car dealership praying that we get this car we got to test drive the whole weekend. It's an 03 Chevy Trailblazer and I'm in love with it!! It's really nice and right in our price range, so we'll see. It kind of all depends!!

Anyhoo, other than that nothing else is really going on. Had a nice weekend though. Went to see Hitch last night and it's pretty good! I love Will Smith. WHat a cutie!! So yeah. Today we spent some time on the beach just walking and talking and then went to the Farmer's Market where we bought fresh fruits and veggies. I also had a Mary Kaye party that was fun. I love cosmetics!! They're fabulous!

Other than that nothing going on. Annoying cousin of fiances is at his grams this week, which we're still trying to figure out why they didn't just go stay with annoying gfs parents, but oh well. His annoying aunt, mom of annoying cousin, is coming down on Thursday to close on the house she bought and will hopefully be out of there so we can go visit. BUT we're staying clear for a while. Don't want any drama or anyone telling me how to plan my wedding.

WEDDING...YIKES! Less than three months now. It's getting exciting. Work wise, some new people are leaving. Makes me sad. :( BUT it'll be okay. Could be worse.

Well I need to run. Have to post and then get my stuff ready for tomorrow as well as print some stuff off for my friends who are planning my bridal shower. How sweet, eh?

TTFN!

Melinda :D

NANCY-phone bill is half worked out. I feel like the commercial where everyone's looking at their phone bill and they're like, who have you been calling? YOU! It makes me laugh, but hopefully we can pay most of it off. It's really aggravating.
JULIE-I would much rather have a dream house for Valentine's Day then anything else, but lol...that's way out of our price range! Yeah, he's pretty thoughtful for the most part. I can't complain. Sorry for getting mushy and gushy.... :o
RIKKI-I love you babe! You're too cute! Yeah he wanted to originally get me scuba lessons because it is something we've talked about doing together we've just never done it and it's really sweet gesture anyway. But I don't know what he got me. He said he got me something but I told him I don't care. I didn't get him anything!! sigh...BUT that's okay. I'm getting him Oaklies for his wedding present from me with my tax return money. He wanted a pair for a while and lost his old pair so I thought that'd be nice!
MAX-I'm here for you always and I'm so glad to see you dropping in!! I try hard on the exercise front!!
FSUGIRL-I wanted to see that movie too! I will probably wait until it comes out on PPV though. I'm a stickler for romantic comedies! I work two jobs---PT at a local gym here and then FT at a preschool. I'm going back to grad school soon so I can study to become a creative writing instructor and focus on my writing career. So yeah. I hope fiance adores me forever!!! He's the best.

Hey sweetie!!

Got your package in the mail on Saturday. It was so exciting to read your story! I really liked it. I read it on the way to Kearney yesterday, and told Love-buns about it on the way too. He laughed. Thought it was pretty clever. Keep up the good work! I want to be the first to recieve a copy of your first bestseller!!! :D

Hope you get the vehicle. I love new cars. Even though we have a nice Mustang, it has almost 60K miles on it. I would like a new car. Isn't it stupid, I get my dream car, and I want another one. I want a new yellow mustang...A convertible! But I'm not a huge fan of the '05 Mustangs, so I'll have to wait till a new model comes out that I like! We pay off the car in April, so that's nice.

Great job on all the exercising! Keep up the good work! And good luck with the rest of your wedding planning. Can't wait to see you.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

NEWS NEWS NEWS:

Well the BIG news is we did get the Trailblazer!! It's GREAT!!! We got approved for a separate car loan and it's ours offically, so that is really exciting. I love it. And the best part is that it fits so well with our budget and everything. Now we just have to look for insurance on it and we'll be set. Nice, eh? Very cool and exciting!

This week has been nice. LOVE DAY I got roses from fiance at work and then he gave me the chain to a necklace and the pendant he gave me on our anniversary on Wednesday. It was really nice. He did a good job making me believe he only got me the chain. It made me laugh and I thought that was odd, but then again I really needed a new chain for some of my other pendants, so it was nice. He did so good! I told him not to get me anything because I didn't get him anything, just because we're saving for the cruise and such, but it was sweet. :o And we went to the Melting Pot on Wednesday! It is so good! I had a really fun time and the food was exceptional. I recommend it to anyone.

Other than that, his annoying aunt is in town and we still have not graced her with our presence. Not that I really want to anyway. Her whole purpose of coming down here was to buy her house and help her son move into it, so um, why should we go over and listen to her brag? Let alone, tell us what we need to get done prior to the wedding that she is completely clueless on. UGH.

MY weekend has been nice. I didn't do much yesterday but clean the house, took a nap, and watched a movie. Then we went out for dinner last night with my friend, Gina, whom I haven't talked to in a few weeks, so that was fun. Today I think we might go see Constantine. We saw Hitch last weekend and it's pretty good!!

Anyway, I just thought I'd drop in and say hi and post. I will definitely be able to post more this next week because I won't be so busy.

NEWS:

Sorry I have not posted in what seems ions. I have had little time between work and wearing myself too thin!
I feel like I have barely time to think anymore, but thankfully, our vacation is less than three months away
now so I am getting excited!! Actually, the wedding is less than two months away plus the honeymoon. But yeah,
I'm getting thrilled and excited and have stayed pretty motivated with the exercise and eating healthy. Trying
to anyway!!

Work is going. I have been a little overwhelmed working both jobs, but I'm staying as focussed as I can. We
need the money so I really can't complain all that much. A lot of people, though, have opted to quit at the
preschool and find better paying jobs, which I don't blame them, and we are somewhat short staffed right now.
And it's not just crappy teachers that are quitting, it's the better ones, so it makes things a lot more
complicated. So anyway, I have been trying to deal with that job and its demands at times. For starters, there's
a mean old bitty who works there and my loving fiance did a side job for her and she's complaining because she
wants more done to it and said he didn't even finish the job, which he did. Plus, he'd like to get compensated
for going out to her house and doing the second job she's requesting and she got all fanatical on him about that.
She's really cruel and mean and said that he's a horrible person, etc, when she will say to my face how nice
he is, etc. but turn around behind my back and be an old *****. I don't even want to work in the same room as her
because of her annoying attitude and the negative cloud that seems to hover over her. It has just been a really
uncomfortable experience especially since my fiance did do the job the right way and she was happy about it
until she wants something done her way. THEN, now since she's raised this big ordeal, she decided that she doesn't
want him to do the job because she's afraid he'll ruin her water heater(which is the job she wants done), and said
she'll find someone else to do it. Number one, my fiance would never do anything like that and never would think
of doing something like that and number two, she's a wacko. I keep meeting all these people who I swear must
be bi-polar because, quite frankly, it's getting so old when people are so mean.

So yeah, blah!!! That has been the biggest thing at work. Not to mention the annoyance of hypochondriac girl who
called in last week and we all think it's getting to be annoying. Not to mention that her mom calls her in and
she's 21. Um, yeah...how old are we again? BUt she calls in at least three times a month. Yeah, really grown-up.
Then she wonders why a lot of us can't really stand her.

I guess I just get sick of being walked all over and treated so poorly by people, too. It seems like people
act like they care but then are a different person otherwise. It's really discouraging. I just feel like
sometimes I'm too nice to people and get treated poorly. And I hate being around negative people. I have
discovered that I'm a much happier person if the people I'm around are also happy and not so negative and are
more postive and outgoing. It really makes a difference. Blah.

WELL, other than my complaining, (I'm sorry if I vent too much in here), I had a nice bridal shower
thrown by a co-worker on Saturday. Not too many people invited showed up, but it was still fun. She did a nice
job and we had a good time. Then afterward Fiance and I went to another co-workers house and stayed out way too
late, but had a nice time doing so! Yesterday we spent in bed and then went to the outlet malls where I bought
a pair of shoes for my wedding dress for cheap($10!! at half off!!). It was nice. Then we had dinner with
his grams and his aunt that was visiting from out of town. That was okay. I just beared with it and rolled with
the punches, you know?

Other than that, still in the waiting game regarding grad school. Getting impatient, but I'm sure everything
will pan out like it's going to. I just want to get into Oregon and all it has to offer. I really really do.
FINGERS CROSSED. PLEASE!!!! And fiance leaves for NY this weekend so I'll be by my lonesome. I'm actually going to
take advantage of it and have some me and cat time. lol...I was going to go to Orlando with a friend of mine
but I decided by the time she gets off on Saturday it'll be too late to drive down there and I have to be back
Sunday to pick up Brad from the airport, so it's just best I stay around Bradenton. Maybe I'll be a beach bum, weather
permitting. I'm thinking of renting a few movies and just chilling out.

Well nothing else to report. Hope everyone has a great week and I'll be more diligent with posting. It's just
been really hectic and crazy, which I'm sure everyone can relate to!!!

Hey sweetie poo!
Thanks for stopping by my journal. Glad you liked the pics. I should send you some pics by email. We'll see. Had a great time. Want to move there! Haven't heard from Kauai yet. We'll see...

Sounds like you are a busy bee!! Wow. I don't know how I could handle jerk/hypocondriac co-workers like you can. Oh wait, I can't. That's why I quit.

What do your shoes look like? I have to say I'm jealous of your weekend alone at the beach. I should fly down there for the weekend and stay with you. What the heck, it's spring break next week. I'll just stay all week. Kidding! But I wish I could. I'd be at the beach all day. Probably even if it was cold. It can't be worse than here, right?

Love ya!

NEWS:
Not to much to report here. It's been kind of quiet since Brad's been out of town. But I am enjoying the time to myself and enjoying the time with my baby cats. lol. I ended up getting sick yesterday and had a major cough and head cold. It turns out I have bronchitis and am on antibiotics for it. I hate being sick. I've been in bed most of yesterday and today trying to recoop. This is really a pain in the butt. I also took on the notion of getting some blood work done and won't be able to do that until March 25, when I have a day off at the preschool and can fast all morning, so yeah. My mom is worried that my immune system has not built up against all the illnesses the kids bring and wants to know why and Brad's step-mom thought I was anemic, but who knows. I guess the blood tests will determine otherwise.

SO with that in mind, wasting a beautiful day in bed was not what I had in mind for the weekend. I hate being lazy although I do love naps. I have slept quite a bit and I am feeling a little better considering how miserable I've been the past two days, but that's okay. I ended up renting a bunch of girly movies----Shall We Dance?, Wimbledon, Princess Diaries Two, The Notebook, Raise Your Voice---and have been watching most of them while cuddling with my cats and taking naps inbetween. Go figure!!!

I have heard back from one grad school and unfornuntaly I am not good enough to get in. I was really disappointed but not that upset because this school was a long shot anyhow but worth a try. I feel a little defeated though, like I won't get in anywhere, and have a little less hope in myself at the moment. I want to get into Oregon so badly but now I have to be realistic. What if I don't get in anywhere? I guess that's the name of the game...and my back up plan is to apply to be a teacher in the public school system. I've already submitted most of my application I just have a few things that still need to be turned in but we will see. I am trying to stay optomistic when it comes to grad school but one rejection can really plummel your outlooks overall.

Anyway, wish there were more going on but unfortunately not. Just thought I'd do a quick post.

RIKKI-you so should come down and be a beach bum! I'd love the company. :D The weather has been off and on with it being nice though. The end of this week proved to be the nicest but the beginning and middle were crummy. I think next week it's supposed to get drizzly and crappy again. No fun!
