Hi my name is Suzanne and I'm 34. I'm a mother of 4 beautiful children and yet that alone has put too many unhealthy pounds on me! They say you're eating for two remember? Well I sure took that to heart!!!!! My youngest is now eight months and I'm no longer nursing so.... I'm ready to lose! If anyone would like to share similar thoughts and goals (i need to lose 50 pounds) please feel free to respond. Hope to hear from you soon!

hey suzanne!! I am 32 and a mom of 3. I'm sure we have a lot in common. If you are like me, you take care of everyone first and then get to you if you have enough time--and too often (almost always) you never get to you. Someone told me that if we show our children how much we care about ourselves and our bodies that we are giving them a valuable lesson. So..maybe we can leave the dished and laundry piled for a couple hours and do Richard Simmons or something. (we all know that as soon as we clean, it's a mess again immediately anyway, right??) I am having the biggest problem with that, myself. I give all my energy to the mundane, maintenance of the FAMILY instead of a vital part of the family--ME!!!!!! I want to prepare good stuff for me, but the kids actually need the well-balanced meals: fats, etc. and my husband won't eat much other than the betty crocker stuff :). I'd love to keep up with you, perhaps we can post topics every 2 or 3 days, or e-mail each other directly. Let me hear from you, OK?? leighb No matter what, take 5 mins a day for you!!!!

leighb thanks for responding .I think it would be great to keep in touch and i think we do have a lot in common especially the hubby thing and the working for everyone else. I finally had my hair done after 6months because i was busy doing things for my family! Oh well e-mail me if you'd like.

shazam, I don't have your email address, so I can't e-mail you directly. I have 2: try lbostian@amfm.com or aprilbostian@juno.com.(juno is free and lately I have been getting just what I pay for--a lot of inconsistency.) The amfm is the one I can only check weekly, so try the other first. Or..post a note here and I'll check up with you. My husband's email is here at home, so I could use it if I want to. Well, I weigh about 210 and I really want to lose around 85 lbs. I was 118 when I married, and that causes some needless stress (the wedding photo seems to appear everywhere.) My husband has about 30 # to lose and started the protein diet this week, and lost 10#!! He thinks it is just a breeze now. I think we can encourage each other, just getting started is the hard part. waiting to hear back... :)

leighb I did try to e-mail you from this screen, you can e-mail me at hunting@sk.sympatico.ca. I did weigh in at 210 about three weeks ago and now I'm at 200, I'm trying to lose about 50 pounds. I've never weighed less than 134, but I'm 5'7'' and healthy at 150.My success has been eating less by using a smaller plate and no refills!But I really need motivation especially in exercise. My husband also needs to lose about 30 and he can do it like yours so easily. My address reaches me here at home so you can write me your ideas on how we can weigh -in and etc.... Suzanne
