Hello! I am also a stay-at-home mom (2 children, toddler and newborn.) I want to lose 25-30 pounds. I have been a yo-yo dieter my entire life, but this year I am taking a different approach. I have stopped obsessing with food and am paying attention to hunger/fullness signals. (All foods just smaller portions). I lost 3 pounds this week and I was eating pizza, ice cream, pasta, you name it. I also get out and walk around the neighborhood with the little ones bundled up in a stroller. I really think I can do it this time-- my little girls need a mom who has energy and who feels good about herself.
Lets support each other!!!

Hi Ladies,

I am brand new to this website. I am a first time mom with a 5 month old daughter.. I just became a stay at home mom which I love but what I would like to say is.. It would be so un-American to not love Chocolate!!! I crave it alot... I have 33 pounds to lose to get back to me pre-pregnancy weight...It's been harder than I thought it would be...

Girls, we can do this!!! We have to remember it's one day at a time.....
I am back to exercising on a regular basis and I really want to get back into my summer clothes this summer......

Glad this site is here to know I am not alone...

Hello, everyone! This is the first time I've looked for a diet buddy - I really think this is what I need! I have about 15 lbs to lose, but can't seem to do it alone. What do you guys plan to do to get in shape? Why don't we check in at least every couple days to report what we've done (exercise-wise)?

Hello - I could really use a wight loss buddy too. Also have 2 small children ages 3 and 5 and work full-time. I need to lose at least 50 pounds - what I would do to be the right weight for height. Already started on a diet - lost 12 in 6 weeks - 30 more to go - finding it very slow!!

Ladies,

I agree we should all check in every few days..We need this!!... I just gave my notice at my full time job and will be working at home starting 3/15 which I am thrilled about..
As far as exercise goes, My daughter still isn't sleeping all night yet so my husband and I switch off taking her so one of us can get a fullnight of uninterrupted sleep and I go to the club then that next morning before he goes to work(I have been working evenings)
That has been working for me so I can get in 3-4 days a week and the weather here has been so beautiful so I go for lots of walks...Foodwise, I am still working on that one, watching my portions, etc..
How's everyone else doing this week?
I weigh in this Saturday..
Oh one question... Did anyone get their girl scout cookies this week??? Ouch!! I ordered too much..What can I say I am a former girl scout... Anything to help the troop(Good excuse huh?) Not!!
Keep in touch... Feel free to e-mail me as well...
Have a good day!

This looks like a good place for me. I'm a work part time and have 2 kids 2&4. I've just started the Carbohydrate addicts diet and in 3 days have lost 2 pounds even though I ate out 2 times. I'm hoping I can stick to this. I exercise alot, run, aerobics, weight lift, ski but that never seems to make a dent in my weight although I am getting more trim. I have 20 lbs to loose by summer. I would love to be 10 lbs down by my birthday April 4th. My biggest problem is impatience. When my weight loss is slow I always go back to my favorite indulgence, chocolate and over eating. I want to weigh in on Saturdays so here's mine today 155.

Hi Ladies,
I've done this so many times I should write a book. To bad I don't always follow my own advice. I'm a stay at home mom too. My kids are 16, 10 and 18 months. At my age the weight isn't coming off as easy (ha,ha)as before.I need help in motivation, not to mention time management,to start exercizing.
Maybe somebody can help? Sue

Hello fellow dieters. We are best friends spending a weekend together with our families. We have been on Weight-Watchers for 7 weeks and each have lost 12 pounds and another 35 each to go. We are eating better, and so are our families. We have challenged each other to exercise daily and write what we eat down. We have been very supportive for each other, talking on the phone daily, even though we live 400 miles apart.(A great phone plan helped this). Having the support of each other has helped us get this far. We are proud of ourselves that we are being great role models for our children(aged 8 years to 5 months). We can't imagine us deciding to become fat again. This is all about choices.

Our advice is to get the POSITIVE support you need and remember: Don't give up what you want the most for something you want at the moment.

Hi Everyone. I am a stay at home mom with a 3 yr old. About 1 1/2 yrs ago I lost 18 lbs, now I have the next 12 to go. Basically I stayed the same for 1999. I really want it OFF this year. I do exercise most days, but have a big problem with portion control and wanting to snack. We are thinking about having a 2nd, and I know I don't want to start off with this extra weight. Lets keep each other going!!!

It's been harder to lose these extra 33 pounds...
I understand every single one of these posts I see.... I NEED this too!! Let me know if I can help in any way at all..

We will do this together!!
