I meant to start this thread for Phase 1 people before and I forgot - my apologies.

No matter what stage of phase 1 you are in you can post your goals here.

My goals are:

1. 20 ozs of water a day 5 days a week

2. Curves/Exercise 3 times a week

3. a fruit and/or a vegetable 1 time a day for 5 days a week

:D My goals for boot camp phase 1 are:

1. I will drink 12, 8 oz glasses of water per day.

2. I will do a "FIRM VIDEO" workout 3 times a week.

3. I will not eat after 7 p.m. (This is my hardest goal):help:

My Phase One Goals......shhh.....too many rounds to mention!

1) 48 oz water..at least.....daily
2) Exercise 5 days a week....for 10 minutes or more.....plus steps count
3) Three meals/two snacks daily (if needed)
4) JOURNAL: Food/Facts/Feelings....I know this helps so I will make time for it at least 4 days a week

I just found this site yesterday, and really like it! I've decided to do the boot camp thing, and will start phase 1 tomorrow (1-28-05) since it's taken me half a day to figure out my goals, lol!

Phase 1 goals:

-Exercise at least 15 minutes every day, no matter what
-drink ALL of my water at every meal, not dumping it down the drain!
-drink a glass of water when I feel hungry, to see if that will take the hunger pains away, if not then eat a small snack.
-cut back on food portions.

My goals

Eat 1 veggie a day
Eat 1 fruit a day
Drink 32oz of water per day

Exercise
20 minute workout once a week
20 minutes of heavy housework once a week
Ab workout twice a week

This doesn't seem like much, but for me it will be a challenge and a move in the right direction. I hope to keep these changes for the rest of my life and add to them as well.

I poosted on the daily thread-sorry-just didn't go for enough to find the post your goals-my goals for this week:
1-journal daily
2-exercise 15 min. at least 5 times a week
3-get my 3 dairy servings in each day
4-check into the daily board to be more accountable and get inspiration

okay im jumping in. my goals for phase one are:
1. 8 glasses of water daily
2. do 20 minutes of exercise 3 time a week
3. no butter-mayo-or chips(reg)
my start date is jan31-feb13

Okay here it goes...this is going to be a challenge for me, but hey it's boot camp right, not meant to be easy.

1. No sweets for 14 days (of the bad kind of course: cake, candy, cookies etc.)
2. Fruit for Breakfast to make sure I get my fruit in
3. 3 Healthy meals a day, making sure I get enough protien so I make sure I don't find myself wanting to snack as often.
4. 45 minutes atleast 4 days a week on the elliptical machine at the gym

I better put my goals here officially ... I've rephased how many times? ... ummmm, 4 ... but I have been as faithful to my goals as possible ever since midnight on January 1, 2005. What can I say? Life happens. Currently I'm fighting acute sinusitis and acute bronchitis with a cough and that is keeping me from my exercise. Doctor says I will get better.

Anyway, here are my goals for Phase 1 which started for me this time on January 28:

1. NO Sweets

2. Strength exercise routines 4 X per week.

3. Count calories and stay under 1600 per day.

I read through the guidelines and like the fact that I am held accountable - I think this will really help! - so I thought I would jump in with the new "class" as well.

My goals for the next weeks will be:

1. no snacking. 3 balanced meals per day only.
2. drink reccommended amount of water per day
3. exercise minimum 30 minutes 6 days per week
4. no eating in front of television. In fact, no more than 2 hours television per day.

Hi everyone i'm starting my boot camp phase 1 in 56minutes on Feb. 1st 2005 to go to Feb 14th 2005...oh man valentines day!

Goal 1 - Stick to special K challenge 1 bowl of cereal for breakfast, 1 for lunch and dinner as usual

Goal 2 - Walk to class at least twice a week

Goal 3 - 100 crunches a night weekends excluded.

Goal 4 - NO AND NO MEANS NO FAST FOOD unless I am at a speech tournament where I have no choice on where I eat.

Goal 5 - Drink 32oz of water a day

ok girls i'm ready to jump in on this..i think i'll start the crunches tonight just because I can...

this is AWESOME!!! this will FORCE me to stay on track!!!

my goals are....

1. drink 128 oz of water a day
2. fruit and salad only on Tuesdays and Thursdays
3. exericise for 1 hour Monday through Saturday...i plan a mixture...walking, floor exercises, weights, jumping rope, and running up and down steps..so i can't say exactly what ones i'll be doing on what day..
4. no red meat!!

Just wandered onto this thread. I could use a "boost" to get back on track.

So, here are my goals, starting today for 14 days.

1. Exercise of some sort three times a week.
2. Drink at least 3 glasses of water a day.
3. Fill out FitDay for every day for 14 days straight.

Right now these are all hard for me.

Now I have to figure out where the conversation thread is.....

I never thought Boot Camp Phase 1 would be this difficult. I originally picked challenging goals for myself but goals I thought I could accomplish.

After 3 rephase attempts, I eliminated my 3 outdoor walks a week from my list of goals because of the winter weather. Now I thought I'd be good to go. :up:

I still couldn't make it. After a few more rephases because of overeating or lack of exercise, I had candy this past Sunday and once again I needed to rephase. My lack of success was frustrating! X-(

Now I am back to say that today I am rephasing yet again ... :c( I need to eliminate my strength exercises from my list of goals ... they were to be done 4 X per week. I'm not ready for this yet. The thought of doing them looms over my head and makes me miserable. Whoever said to change one thing at a time gets my vote ... it's certainly true in my case. I have all I can do to concentrate on eating right and avoiding sweets.

8-| Today is Day One of Phase One for me with the following goals ...

1. No candy, cake, ice cream, or sweets of any kind.
2. Maintain the WW Core program (joined online 2/9/05)

And that's it for Phase 1. No more, no less. When I get my food choices settled and I overcome my love of candy, I will turn my attention to exercise ... but not until then.

I will post this message also on the Boot Camp general thread so that the group knows of my beginner status ... still.

Well, I've not tried this 2-week based boot camp before - more used to the daily bootcamp that was on cyberdiet back when it was free - but I think writing my commitments in public really helps, so here goes.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings - lower body weights
Tuesday, Thursday evenings - upper body weights
one weekend day - upper body weights

Monday, Wednesday, Friday evenings - at least 1 hour of badminton.
Tuesday, Thursday mornings - at least 30 minutes on the treadmill

Breakfast at least 3 days a week.
No food after 8PM.
At least 6 glasses of water daily.

OK these original goals were too structured for me to meet for phase 1. So, I'm going to add flexibility and say that if I miss an exercise session, I can make it up any time between then and the end of Sunday (i.e. my week starts on Monday). So now I have to get 5x aerobics and 5x weights each week, and I'll try to do it on schedule but will accept it if I have to juggle it around. I think this will make it more achievable!

Phase 1 Day 1 - starts March 13th - 26th

I am not going to "baby" myself this time - it is time to MOVE IT ! :whip:

Goals

1. drink at least 30 ozs of water daily

2. exercise 3 times a week - 30 minutes each

3. drink only diet pop ( when I "must" have some )

4. 2 servings or fruits and/or vegetables daily

i joined this site a couple days ago and i want to kick it up a notch. i really want to wear a size 16 sometime this summer i have time i can do this sooooooo......

1 no eating after 7 p.m. ( this will be the hardest for me but very important)
2 count calories (phase1 1200 calories) and measure my food.
3 strenth train 2x week :) 4 exerice my choise 3x week at least 20 min a day.
5 beleive in my self no matter what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
i will start this tomorrow march 19-april 1

Okay I don't know if I am allowed to just jump in here and start but here I am.
I am going through depression and have a hard time sticking to anything so I will just take some baby steps here.
For 14 days I will:
1.Even though my goal is 10,000 steps a day I have been so depressed that some days I don't do it. So for 14 days I will shoot to do 5000 steps a day no matter what.
2. 4 or more cups of water a day
That is all I am going to post.
I want to be successful this time around.

I'm a real regular on this thread, aren't I? All I can say is that I refuse to give up. I am making brand new goals for myself ... and here they are:

1. Drink 8 - 8oz glasses of water each day :water:

2. Take one outdoor walk each week. :spring:

I hope the water goal gets me off my recent diet coke HABIT and mellows out my insane food cravings ... most recently BREAD and MORE BREAD. The walk each week is to reacquaint myself with something I love ... walking outdoors.

I am discarding my NO SUGAR rule and my diet programs ... all of them. I need to talk to myself whenever I eat and figure out what power food has over me. All my energy is spent reading about diets, trying diets, debating diets, breaking diets, etc. This cannot be right. I want food to be a simple and pleasant experience every day of my life instead of this horrible test of will and spirit.

my goals
1. CALORIE LIMIT 1900
2. Exercise at least 3 times a week
3. Drink plenty of water
4. take out food no more than two times out of the week.

I am back after not being here for a long time and I am interested in doing this bootcamp. Since my last visits to diettalk I have started a love affair with my elliptical. I actually enjoy being on it! I crank up the music, close my eyes and just go! (for some reason its better with my eyes closed) I have also started not eating before bed. I am having a real hard time with that one. I have gone to bed feeling hungry for 3 nights in a row. These are the two things I always said I would never change. I hate exercise and I love eating at night. Well I am changing them.

I will start tomorrow(Monday the 16th) with only these two goals.
1. Exercise at least 4 hours per week, two of those hours on the elliptical.
2. No more food after 8:30 no matter what my brain, tummy or anyone tells me!

Oh and I still wake up not wanting to eat in the morning. Now I know its not because I ate so much the night before.

I'd love to give Boot Camp a whirl. I've been stuggling all year with a good week than a bad week than a good week than a bad week - you get the picture. I love the idea that each phase is 14 days. I'm thinking of each phase as a step I'm taking to get healthier starting off with some changes and if I can do it - add more and more each phase. I'm going to try phase 1 with these goals. May 18 to May 31

1. A Walk of at least 6000 steps or 1 hour of biking - 5 times a week
2. Weight training - upper, lower, upper during the first week and lower, upper, lower during the second week.
3. Drink at least 8 glasses of water every day

Oh I like this "Healthy Living Boot Camp" ... What a fantastic idea! It's great how you all are progressing. Apart from the fact that it's 16:55pm (give or take a couple of minutes) here in the UK, I also get weighed tomorrow morning, so I shall start Phase I tomorrow, Sunday 12th June, finishing midnight Saturday 25th June :)

My goals are:

1. To drink 2 litres of water every day.

2. To eat healthily, using the portion guidelines and recommended foods from the eating plan I am following (GI Diet)

3. To do 20 sit-ups each 5 days of the week (not alot I know, but believe me my abs will wonder what on earth is happening!)

4. To do 30 minutes "fat burning" exercise for 5 days of the week.

5. To do 30 minutes "stretching and toning" exercises for 5 days of the week.

6. To start a journal and update it here at least 4 times a week.

OK ... thats more than enough to be getting along with ... I don't want to fail so I won't add more that I can cope with for the moment.

4. take out food no more than twice a week

Weight starting 208 pounds
