Even supermodels are worried about their looks and most of them see only their faults. I used to have a longer list than this one but it seems to have disappeared. This helped me a lot because I realized that all those women I would envy and want to be like, were just as insecure about their bodies. Enjoy!

Julia Roberts
"I used to take painstaking hours in the bathroom to try to look like this girl I went to school with-she was beautiful."

Melanie Griffith
"I don't think I'm beautiful. When I look in the mirror, I just see me - and, I'm pretty used to me."

Heather Locklear
"When I look in the mirror I see the girl I was when I was growing up, with braces, crooked teeth, a baby face and a skinny body."

Michelle Pfeiffer
"I look like a duck. It's the way my mouth curls up, or my nose tilts up. I should have played Howard the Duck."

Cindy Crawford
"They were doing a full backshot of me in a swimsuit and I thought, Oh my
God, I have to be brave. See, every woman hates herself from behind."

Cheryl Tiegs
"It's very important to have the right clothing to exercise in. If you throw
on an old T-shirt or sweats, it's not inspiring for your workout."

Christy Turlington
"I think, if my butt's not too big for them to be photographing it, then it
shouldn't be too big for me."
"You can usually tell when I'm happy by the fact that I've gained weight."

In the media's eyes you're only as pretty as they say you are.

So, for celebrities and supermodels (and even regular models), I think it's a little bit easier when a lot of people think you are uber attractive.

I had a friend who was a model for a while. I think that beautiful people have it hard in a way because they are so close to society's idea of 'perfection' that they compare themselves to it seriously and are tougher on themselves than normal people. A normal person, she sees a supermodel and knows that the gap between her and the supermodel is so big that there is no point in beating herself up about it. A beautiful person knows she is almost there and starts to get paranoid about how she looks.

I have known about 5 women/girls with anorexia or bulimia and they were all above average in looks to start with before their eating disorders. Being beautiful is stressful!

I am not surprised that the most beautiful women in the world are insecure about their looks. A lot of very beautiful women also suffer domestic violence. A couple of years ago in the UK Ulrika Johnsson, a Swedish TV personality known for her blonde good looks, was in the news for being beat up by her boyfriend. Pamela Anderson was beat up by her husband. It's shocking that women famous for being beautiful still get knocked about by idiot men. If you are beautiful you attract the wrong sort of men, jealous, possessive types.

You have to be a very strong person to cope with being beautiful.

So I'm glad to be normal!

Society is going to judge you if you're fat thin or anorexic. People in this society are not after what you are like inside they look at your outside appearance than take it upon theirselves to make you feel down and after that they say oh did I hurt you or did I say something wrong. Well hell yeah you said something wrong you need to keep your big mouth shut. I don't like people who are presumpsous because they get on my nerves when they have something to say it usually means that you're not to their expectations. But you need to be who you are. Don't listen to what society has to say about yourself believe in yourself

But Supermodels, do have problems if you see it or not they can't eat what they want because they are always in society's eye and they need to keep their weight down. That is what is stressful because they can't eat like hamburgers, pizza's or sweets unless they want to be Plus Size models but I don't personally like Supermodels because they are just too perfect for me because their lives have to revolve around their modeling since that is thier job. But I'm happy with being 130lbs but you need to be 118-120lbs to be a model because they don't want you embarassing them when you walk down the runway or one of the outfits that they have for you don't fit then they have to do last minute changes. I think that is why peoiple are Anorexic and bulimic because their parents either say that they are not thin enough but that is not true. God made us all differently and we don't need to be perfect but that is what Model Agency look for I think they want you to just be a size 2-4 and that bugs the hell out of me

I thought the idea behind a "supermodel" was someone who was genetically predispositioned to look like they do. So, it's not necessarily hard for them to stay the way that they are. Everything is a discipline. What is hard for someone may be easier for some else.

Their job is no more stressful than anyone elses. I don't think anyone really wants to work, they're just doing a different type of job with a different type of stress

<<That is what is stressful because they can't eat like hamburgers, pizza's or sweets>>
They can eat that stuff in moderation, if they'd want, but that stuff isn't healthy for you regardless if you are a model or not.

I think their job has a different set of issues - you're generally over the hill at 28 and if you get pregnant you can almost kiss your job away except for a handfull of the top well-known models.
That definately has to be stressful.
