I decided it was time to liberate myself from the fat. I have tried lo carb for months and months and didn't have the strength to be faithful to it. So, now I am back to the old fashioned standby (calorie counting). I decided to not beat myself up and take it one day at a time. I am going to stick to a 1500 calorie a day menu which has not been bad thus..but it has only been 2 days :o I am also charting my steps and my goal is to walk 10,000 steps a day (which is a lot so I am building myself up to it)....plus I have a membership to a gym that need to get motivated to go back to.

June 21 Menu

1 cup Special K w/half cup of Skim Milk (150)
1 cup of Breakstone Cottage Cheese w/Blueberries (140)

1 sm bg. Snyder Pretzel Sticks (160)

MIDDAY

Good job! you seem to be well on your way. But.. if you add more protein you wont get hungry.

Hi, Joi! You really do have a good plan put together and sounds like you have the motivation to suceed ... 1500 is a good healthy calorie goal, but maybe you could work down to it more gradually, though ... just a thought ... if you added a couple of balanced protein/healthy carb snacks between the meals it could help keep your metabolism bouncin' along ... you really will lose weight better if you don't cut back too much right at first and especially as you increase exercise ... just a thought ... not meanin' to give advice, a failin' o' mine. You're doin' great!
