Breakfast: 2 rice cakes=2 pts.

1 cup yogurt=2 pts.
1 tsp. reduced-fat peanut butter=1/2 pt.
Starting Weight: 287
Weight Today: 268.6
Small goal: 240
Large goal: 160
I will record the rest of my meals as I eat them. No exercise as of yet.

B- 1 Cup Cheerios, 1 cup FF milk
Coffe w/creamer & Sweet n Low
Lunch- couscous, bean & veggie salad, 2 oz chicken breast
nectarine & 8 oz 2% milk (ran out of ff milk)
Dinner- planning spaghetti or refried bean tostadas. Fruit for desert.
janetl32 08-17-05, 03:06 PM Hi Kitty: I'm glad you're posting. Watch the coffee creamer. That got me into trouble so I have abandoned my coffee for the time being. I hope you do good at WW. I just got my latest WW magazine so will read it later today. I love the magazine because it has some good recipes. I made a chocolate banana pie last week and they have a good recipe for a banana split. Where do you live? We have sonic down here in Florida and they have a mini banana split for 3 pts. As you can tell, I like sweets but have to watch the sugar. WW has some good products out. Let me know how you do tomorrow. We'll make it. Janet
Kitty81 08-17-05, 08:39 PM Well, I blew dinner tonite. Had Burger King. Whopper, fries, diet coke. But I'm done for the evening. My dinner plans got kinda kicked to the curb. I got my nose out of joint and went to Burger King. Been wanting a whopper anyway. Tomorrow starts a new WW week. Gonna switch to Flex. With the eating arrangements around here, I think points will work better.
Didn't get to work out in pool. Due to some sort of malfunction, pool wont re-open until 8/26. Bummer.
I live about 35 miles North of Dayton, Oh. It's a small town of about 30,000 in an agricultural county. Where are you in FL? I used to live in Tampa.
janetl32 08-17-05, 11:49 PM Hi Kitty: So you made some wrong choices but we all do it. Just write it down and learn from it. I personally think points are better because I never know when I am satisfied enough to stop eating. Whatever works!! You can do this. You had your whopper so now you can start fresh. A whopper isn't bad if you have the points to use. I will list my evening meal in our journal. I did pretty good. I went to Applebees after church and ate the WW meal. My friend had their delicious apple pie--definitely not WW but she lost all her weight on WW already so she can afford it once in awhile. The bad thing is that I had to watch her eat it but I really didn't get tempted because my mind is made up to stay on track. That doesn't mean that I will be perfect but the key is to get back on track when you feel you blow it. One kick for you--only kidding. Tomorrow is a new day!! Think positive and stay on track. I'm counting on you.

janetl32 08-18-05, 12:06 AM Hi Kitty: I live in Jacksonville, Florida. My mom was born and raised in Akron, Ohio and I have lots of relatives all over--some in Dayton. I forgot to record my water but I drink all that is required every day. I am hoping to lose more weight on Monday. Didn't swim today. I am hoping to move in the near future and decided to pack up stuff instead. I hope I can swim tomorrow if it isn't raining. A good day for me though. I maintained control and that feels so good.

I can't go swim until the YMCA opens the pool up again. I could go to their other location, but with gas what it is now, not gonna make the 10 mile drive, when this branch is about 5 blocks from the house. I did do a WATP 1 mile this morning. That's about all I can do at a time.

janetl32 08-18-05, 01:02 PM Hi Kitty: Well today is a new day and we go up and down. The weather isn't good here for swimming today. I haven't eaten yet because I just got up. I stay up late at night and have to quit that. I will post as I eat but the scale (my scale) said I was up a little. I can't figure that out but maybe Monday will have a different story. Keep up the good work. :)

I don't think you blew it with your snacks. You still came in under your points. I think any day you do that is a good day. :)

Kitty81 08-20-05, 06:00 PM Wow! Pretty good menu for only 5 pts. I have been pretty busy today shopping & stuff. Just got back home around 3, had lunch about 3:30. We had an awful thunderstorm with a lot of wind. The house next door had their big tree split in half & fall on their roof. I'm not glad it happened to neighbor, but I am thankful we didn't have it happen to us. All our trees have been taken out. All the trees in this neighborhood are pretty old & big. Well, we do only have 1 big tree left, but it is out at curbside & not in danger of falling.
So far today I've eaten
Cheerios & skim milk - 4 pts
Cold cut ham sandwich - 4 pts.
12 oz glass of milk - 2.5
1/2 cup of couscous & veggie salad - 2

Kitty81 08-20-05, 06:49 PM I changed the points for the peach. I looked in my book, too. But I had to add .5 to the 12 oz of milk, per WW online. Oh well, half a point is half a point. I looked at the nutrition info on the pizza if I eat half of it its 7points, if I eat it all its 15.
Don't know if I could heat it up & only eat half. Jon was talking about eating pizza later, maybe he would eat it. He's 6 ft tall & weights 150, he can eat all he wants. :(
Although, I do have enough Flex points to eat it all.
I know, its not a life changing decision. I tend to obsess. :dn

When do you weigh in? Mine is Monday and even though I have been on program all week, it doesn't look like I am losing any but we will see. Keep it up girl.

Last nite I was taking the dogs outside & stepped in a hole in the yard again. Twisted myself up again. This is like the 10th time I've done that, either step in a hole, or one of the dogs pull me down. They are fairly large dogs - a shepherd lab mix & a great dane lab mix. Both are very strong. I guess I have pretty strong bones, tho, cause mere mortals would have probably broke something already. lol :laugh:
Anyways, I had to chase CC (the gd-lab) all around the neighborhood because she can slip out of any collar that we put on her. So she thought it was great fun. I think I saw her laugh. hehh :D But I gave myself 1 AP for it.
I'm taking pain med & muscle relaxer & lying down now. All that activity has stirred up sciatic pain. So I may be down for awhile. Will "see" you when I get back up.

I know mine does. I did real good for lunch but then ate too much when I got home. Why do I do that when I am perfectly satisfied. Oh well, now I have to record it. It will be a miracle if I lose this week but it's nobody's fault but my own.

I ended up going out for dinner and had 1/2 of a turkey club with a salad and 2 pkgs. of my fat-free dressing. I think the scales will be up no matter what so I will just have to watch it this week. I am definitely not eating any more tonight. Maybe I should let my dog run loose and go chase her :laugh: I will let you know how I do tomorrow morning but I know it will be a gain. You are doing good though so keep it up. This coming week will be better for me. :sigh:

janetl32 08-22-05, 10:27 PM Hi Kitty: You are doing so good. I was wondering what the name of those tortillas was. Now I know. I had looked for them in the store but forgot the name. I am on the right track today and hope to stay that way since I gained. I am determined to lose the 1.6 plus more. I swam about 3 hours today or at least got in the pool but don't worry about the activity points because I don't do that much activity. I am determined to get in every day this week rain or shine. Keep it up girl!! :cheer:

Those La Tortilla Factory tortillas are very good. If you only have one, the ones I got come out to 0 pts. If you have 2, its right on the line between 1 & 2, so I call it 1 point. They taste good too. They have 8 grams of fiber in each one.
Gaining 1.6 lb is not bad. Last week I gained 1.5, but I feel like I lost this week. We'll see on Thursday.
Hang in there, girl; the weight will start to drop again. :hug:
janetl32 08-22-05, 11:42 PM Hi Kitty: I am definitely going to try the tortillas. They had mentioned them at WW. I don't feel too bad about the weight gain because I did it to myself. I will be real strict this week and stay on program. I just had my snack of 1 cup ice cream with 2 WW snack cakes. If you heat them up in the microwave for a few seconds and then put the ice cream on top, it is yummy. I just want to make sure I don't go overboard like I did last week. This journal is definitely helping me though. It helps to keep us accountable. I need to try to get to bed at a decent hour and not stay up so late because I get hungrier the later it gets. I have been sleeping too late in the mornings too. It feels good not working but I don't have to be lazy. You are doing so good. I'm sure you'll do great on Thursday. I will be here cheering you on. A little over my limit, but still within my Flex poiints. I am going to Dayton today to the neurosurgeon. After the appointment, my DD and I are going to eat at the Olive Garden. Going to see if they have a website with nutrition values. Probably get the soup, salad & breadsticks. They have a sausage &potato soup that is the best soup I ever tasted. I'll let you know later what dr. said.

janetl32 08-24-05, 12:37 PM Hi Kitty: The salad at Olive Garden has a lot of fat in it. I asked the waitress and she told me so be careful. They do have a light menu. Let me know what the doctor says. I had too many snacks yesterday but am down 2 lbs. this morning. I need to watch the snacks. I stayed within my pts. but still ate too much. I am strictly on program today for sure.

Kitty81 08-24-05, 04:14 PM I got back about a half hour ago. Catching up on email, etc.
Dr. said I have a bad back. :laugh: No, he wasn't being sarcastic. He said I have spinal stenosis, 2 bad discs L4 & 5 and that the rest of my spine is in bad shape. 3 options a. Live with it b. try physical therapy and c. surgery.
Said it would be way major surgery & no guarantees that it would even help. So is setting me up with physical therapy for three weeks, then said try to go back to work & see if it's any better. Then see him again in 6 weeks from now. App. is Oct 20. He does have an office in Troy, so I don't have to go to Dayton to see him again. The ride really does my back in. Although the stop at Olive Garden is a good treat.
I really blew lunch...Didn't have a lot of salad, 2 breadsticks. Ordered stuffed manicotti, ate 1 piece and brought the other one home for later if I ever get hungry again. :laugh: I'm gonna do some research & see if Olive Garden is in the WW dining out companion book. If not, I'll use my best guesstimate as to points.
Wtg Janet, 2 pounds is just right to lose in a week. I hope I do as well tomorrow.
janetl32 08-24-05, 04:40 PM Hi Kitty: I was trying to help you out on the manicotti and looked on their website and on dottie's weight loss zone but it wasn't there--meaning that you shouldn't have eaten it :laugh: In the food companion, two shells with sauce is 15 pts. ouch. Oh well, just start from scratch and do good from here. I had a Wendy's kids meal for lunch and thought it was 5 pts. but it was 11 and then I had a salad with fat-free dressing so I had a total of 12 pts. I am trying to be good today. You stay strong!!

I found out too that the stuffed manicotti is 15 points. Thats OK. I only ate 5 pts at breakfast & breadsticks are 3 pts each & salad dressing is 2.5 pt. so I figure about 23.5 pt for lunch. But I still have half of the manicotti to eat later- pts already counted.
So target is 26, I've used 28.5 so far today. I still have a few Flex points left, but I really don't think I'm gonna eat too much more today. If I want anything else, I have flex to use. Anyhoo, gonna lie down now, my back is yelling at me. X-(

Anytime I don't post it's because I am not on program so you need to give me a big fat kick. I am on it today though. You have to find what works for you. The core plan made me sick so I know I can't do it. Here is what I ate so far today and I lost 2.8. WOW!!!
Breakfast:
banana=2 pts.
1 cup fat-free yogurt=2 pts.
Lunch:
2 slices thin lunchmeat=1 pt.
2 slices diet bread=1 pt.
sliced cucumbers
1 pkg. light dressing=1 pt.

Kitty81 08-29-05, 08:15 PM Wow! 2.8 that is really good. I'm not posting my eats today. I went overboard with lunch from Taco Bell. I'll restart tomorrow. Right now I'm just tired of the whole thing. I've been having a lot of pain the last few days, and I'm really cranky. I think tomorrow will be better. :c(

Things do look better this morning. I'm still having a lot of pain, but I'm trying not to be too cranky today. Decided that I do better on the Core plan, so switched over. I'll only show points for items that count as WPA. So far today I've had:
Oatmeal w/ soy milk
Snack of 2 Tbs Hummus & 5 saltines - 2 pts.
Lunch - cup of 0 pt veggie soup -
salad with Tyson SW style chicken strips, olives, lettuce, carrots, spinach, feta cheese & lite Italian olive oil dressing.
Snack - banana
8oz soy milk
Dinner- Green beans, ham strips, potatoes & cornbread. And 2 very rich brownies for desert. & Choc soy milk.

janetl32 09-09-05, 11:49 AM Hi Kitty: I am so glad you lost. YOU GO GIRL!! I went to the meeting yesterday only to find out that there wasn't one. That particular meeting was cancelled for good. I thought I would start on Monday but made up my mind to start today. I will record my food but won't count the days until Monday because that is my official day. I will start day one on that date. I have been in a legal battle to try to secure an apartment. That wasn't my plan but it is happening that way. I was told that I could get a one-bedroom but now they want to put me in an efficiency. I don't know if I can do with that amount of limited space. If nothing happens to secure the one bedroom, I will have to decide if I want the efficiency or want to try to stay in my home. I have lived here since 1979 but it is getting harder for me to maintain. I'll keep you posted. I will record my food tonight. You keep up the good work.
