I would have to say my weight issue started when I had my first child at 18, thus began the wonderful world of yo yo dieting.
Thinking back in that era (haha) I'd have to say I dont think weight wise I was that bad 176ish but never the less I joined physicians weight loss and lost down to 120, five years later creeping up on the scales I again joined physicians weight loss and went from 180 to 101, this time I gave myself problems, I had bulemia badly. Years after recovering and several diets later (jenny craig, slim fast, cabbage soup diet) I started to creep up again into the 170's this time I did excersise and did slim fast again, I lost to 130. By the age of 31 I weighed 190, again I did excersise and tried multiple diets (american heart diet, atkins, slim fast, whatever over the counter pill I could take) I lost down to 160. Wouldnt you know it crept back on....(little bugger that fat is :) ) Anyway, by 32 I weighed 198, joined a physicians clinic lost to 178 then quit, to discoraged (boy was I silly then 8-| ) The weight climbed to an all time high of the next several years to 265! I couldnt sleep at night was diagnosed with sleep apnea, my hips hurt so bad, my knees hurt to walk.
I was in a Kmart store pushing the cart, mind you face wise Im a pretty lady, when a group of teens were behind me and out loud said "damn thats the biggest ass I've ever seen, they all started to laugh" I was so sad that day. It really woke me up. Thus began my search for my cure, I began to explore Weight loss surgery going as far as the very end-insurance approval, wow there was so much involved. Bottom line, I changed my mind.
On my 36th birthday I decided Im tiered, feel old and ugly body wise, I know what it is to be overweight and to be anorexic looking, I like being able to shop in a regular store, at the mall and looking good in clothes, not having to conceal my school bus size tush (for real). It was time for a lifestyle change, no more using food as a companion a cure all no more.
I joined LA weight loss, which used to be physicians weight loss, Id figured it had worked twice before this time I would follow the maintenence plan!
I joined in July and have lost almost 29 pounds, I also gave up caffiene, wow do I feel better, no more headaches, decreased heart burn. Im on my way once again........

Great job Jusmenow.. looks like you've been through a lot of ups and downs with the dieting. i can see where your coming from. My highest weight was 160 lbs and i was like I'm only 19!! I can't keep up this gaining. I'm too young .. I'm supposed to be energetic and playful and always doing something. So I decided to change my life. So far so good! 10 lbs down and 15 to go!.. I've been kind of slacking lately since I had to work about 9days of 8 hrs of work each.. It took a toll on me. Now I'm off and I need to get back into it. I was watchin an infomercial about this exercise plan.. It looked fun to do and it looked like it worked.. It was called "Turbo-Jam". I really would like to get into that since I can't find my other DVD's. (Sorry for carrying on)

Welcome! and I hope you enjoy this forum. It's very wonderful.. Has stopped me from eating things I shouldn't have Lol.

Take care! :cheer:
