Well here I am. Starting fresh again. That's better than not starting at all. One of these days I'll get my act together completely.

Last week I was rarin to get going. And I did, for about 4 days. Then the stupid flu hit me. I ended up sitting on the couch eating popsicles for 3 days. BTW the posicle diet does not work. I had a plan, first week was to get the eating under control. The second week I was adding back the TM. I am so mad at the flu. O well, better late than never I guess. I am just getting back to the eating part. Will start the TM next week I guess.

Doing good on my weekly water challenge, have done the 8 glasses every day this week :D . Catch ya later!

I am sorry the flue derailed you - happy your feeling better :D

what is TM ?

way to go on the water ! :cheer:

That is a huge challenge for me.......

Hi Beth

Thanks for the well wishes!

TM is treadmill, I am such a lazy typist  Need to get working on the water thing again. 1 out of 8 is not enough.

Did ok today, just finishing up the last of my water for the day. I came in with my calories under what they should be, but the carbs were a little bit high. I can see where I need to work on changing things. Tomorrow is a new day.

Hey AJ, good to see you too! Thanks for the well wishes. I really like your saying on the end about how somedays are just better than others! Makes a lot of sense to me right now.

Just went thro a really tuff patch with my food plan ..... the food was there, the plan was not! Munched on a little bit too much junk food. X-( Darn, I thought I had gotten that under control. One thing good came out of it, I didn't let it continue more than 2 days and it was not a horrid amount, so that's progress. AND I came back and admitted to it! LOL

Everyone says how important journaling and the old food diary are, but I sure do hate keeping track of it. So what I did was; purchased Fitday. Easier than figuring it all out the hard way 4 sure. Now the trick is to USE it EVERY day. I missed a few days last week. Ok I missed the days of the junk food binge, I admit it.

Did ok on this week's mini challenge, which was to drink all 8 glasses of water each day. I came in short one day all week, and only by 1 glass. Just could not fit it in. Maybe it was the extra diet pop I had that day? This week's challenge is to go to a fast food resturant and find a meal that I can eat that fits into my food plan. Sounds easy, but I know it's not, the smell of those fries ..... I will conquer it and pass this challenge, I am way to stubborn to fail :D

I think my flu is gone, and tomorrow back 2 work I go. If I feel up to it tomorrow night I will jump on the TM (treadmill) for a few mins. Have to wait and see. 8-| Some nights my feet are sore and some they are not, depends on how much standing I do. I am done whining now LOL.

Cheers everyone!

Hi roos...I just wanted to say...good for you with being honest with yourself!

By being honest with ourselves...we can learn so many things that we haven't always done right in the past, and gives us things to learn to change them in the future. You CAN do this Roos....one step at a time....because YES...everyday IS a good day, and of course some ARE better than others... Keep your chin up...I know you will succeed. Hope you have a great week! Hugs, AJ

hi AJ

you are so right! If I am not honest with me, it means I am lying to myself, and that sure won't benefit me. One day @ a time and I will succeed. Today was a successful day. I kept track in fitday; of everything and I mean every bite.

I am down 2 pounds this past week, yay, ok one was gained the week before but it's gone again. Drank water today again. I didn't get any TM time in, ended up having a nap instead. Tomorrow for sure! No work, so I will have time. I have a super busy week, but will be making time for the TM this week. going to start slowly again. I know once I am back on the thing it will be easier to keep it up.

Cheers everyone

Today was a pretty good day. I got on the TM, did 30 min. I sure can't do the intesity I could before, but it won't be long and I'll be back up there.

Yesterday I ate way under what I should have cal wise, today I was starving ALL day. I also ate more cals today. I counted everything that went in my mouth tho.

All in all I think I am doing ok. :)

Wow, the last few days have been nutz!!! Thanks for the support AJ. How have you been doing?

I weighed in this week, down 2.5lbs :D . I have not been on the TM much as I have been working extra hours at work. Looks like a few new viruses have hit. The life of a puter tech is not physically challenging, but I sure sure my brain a lot LOL.

I have done ok with my meals, but am finding myself slacking off with my water. Something to work on.

01-24-06, 12:24 AM
Well goodness, Roos, how, pray tell, have I missed your new journal!!!!!!!!

Nice to see you here. Congrats on the 2.5 down, that is just terrific!!!!

Hope you get to chat tomorrow night. See you later.

rooschick
01-25-06, 12:31 AM
Hey Crazy, good to see you too! Chat was awesome tonight, as always. I sure wish chat was that busy every night. I find it very motivating and it keeps me right on track too.

Today was fairly good. I didn't workout as I didn't really have the time. I had a 2 hour dental appointment this morning and by the time I grabbed a few groceries and took them home it was time to take DD to the eye doctor. It was late enough afterwards, that I went to subway and brought supper home. A nice treat for sure, but a bit heavy on the carbs. I didn't get all of my water in today either, as my mouth still was frozen till suppertime, LOL, I didn't want to be dribbling all over myself :D .

Tomorrow is another day. I usually plan on walking on the TM while watching the biggest loser on TV , how is that for inspiration LOL! I should really pick one show every night and go walk. Hmmm, that might actually be a good idea. Will have to think on that.

I have skipped fitday today also, and part of yesterday too. Bad me. I know that works, cause last week when I used it, it worked so well. I will take a 2.5lb loss anytime! :) I think I also need to invest in a newer food scale (the numbers have faded on my old one), I think I need to weigh my protiens. I am sure I sometimes I misjudge what I really eat.

till next time , cheers everyone!

rooschick
01-25-06, 11:26 PM
Hey Crazy, thanks for the pep talk, I know I would have skipped out on the TM tonight without your :help: ! I just feel so tired today, I am wondering if it is from not eating enough yesterday?

Anyway, today I did 30 min of TM, I didn't want to do any @ all. I was planning on 60 min, but 30 was all I could do. My legs were hurting, so time to quit. I overate on my cals today too, I usually hit 1500, today was just over 1800. :( . Time to do someting about it.

Till next time, cheers everyone

Hey Roos,

Hope you are feeling stronger now!!! Glad you did your TM, we feel tired but there was no guilt over not doing it, so that is good.

Hey, I just picked up a new food scale yesterday, it is a nice little one. And, I was pleasantly surprised that my guess on meat were pretty darn close to the right number.

Well, take care, get well, hope your mouth doesn't give you anymore problems, darn old dentists anyways, lol.

rooschick

Sorry I have been away for so long. Feeling guilty now. :o Time to get myself back on track. Going to take a day or so and myself organized and then get to it!!

rooschick
03-13-06, 12:02 AM
ok, time to make good on what I said earlier.

Today I got a bright shiny new food scale. My old one was not so good. I also stocked up on nice fruits and veggies and few low fat snacks. I opened up fitday (it's been over a month since I used it!) and entered in my data.

Then tonight I did 35 min of my TM. It's been over a month since I did that 2. :o It sure does not take long to get back out of shape. Although I was severly off track, I did only gain 1 pound back. Time to nip this in the bud .... NOW.

Now to just keep it up. If I am going to win the war against fat, I have to. Otherwise I will turn into one of those people who can't get out of bed because of their weight. Life is way to short to live like that. I want to enjoy it, not huff and huff and feel icky cause I don't like my shape.

Hi all

I didn't forget to post, just been running around like crazy here. We had dance competition last week-end, so that took up some time. No workout time available then either. Not for me anyway LOL.

I did workout Monday after work, I don't usually do that, but last night I thought I should do some damage control from the week-end! Tonight I upped(is that even a word?) my time on the TM to 40 min instead of 30. Will see how my legs feel tomorrow!

I decided as a reward for getting myself back on the TM to buy some tanning minutes. I have never tanned be4, except in the sun outside, so this is a new experience. It is very relaxing in there, all warm with music playing. glad I did something for me.

Till next time, take care.

40 minutes is terrific on the treadmill, hope you stretched out afterwards, lol.

03-29-06, 02:35 PM
GRRRR I am mad @ me. I did so well all last week workout wise and this week I just don't have the drive to get up and go! X-(

I need to get my act together, I am not eating correctly, I am not drinking my water, I am drinking too much diet coke again. I wanna eat junk food. And all of it makes makes me feel grouchy.:help:

I think part of it is I have a HUGE case of spring fever, and it keeps snowing and looks more like winter every day. :( I can't do anything about that I guess.

Sigh, maybe tonight I can get my buns moving. I feel so depressed about it all. Sorry I am such a downer.

Hot diggity dawg ... here I am, back once more! Ok the last week wsn't as good as it could have been, but i did lose 1 pound. That makes 9 in 3 weeks.

So what's the secret? I do believe it's a combonation of things, because when skimp on one, the weight loss grinds to a halt.

Number one: water, lots of water.
Number two: track it all, good or bad, it all counts.
Number three: move it to lose it.
Number four: don't deprive yourself, just practice moderation.

Yep, it's as simple as that. Now that I have reminded myself of this, I feel better :)

Yep I sure am back ... and with a vengence too! I am ready to do this. It's finally the right time. I weighed in today and had a nice suprise, which I don't deserve this week, so in order to avoid an unpleasant one next week, it's back on the wagon for me!

I had a 3 pound loss this week, for a grand total of 12 pounds in January. :)

You better keep checking on me, I'm human and slip up sometimes! How have you been doing? I keep forgetting about monday night chat, until about 9pm ... and it's over by then. :o Ratz.

Still losing, yay!!! I'm down 13.6 pounds now. I'm not losing as quickly now, but that's ok. I notice my clothes are getting loose now. Just getting myself into a new workout routine too ... this time it feels right. I know it's going to happen. Why? I don't know, but it's different, I'm different inside.

I'm going to be slim once more. I will be slim once more. I will borrow my daughters clothes  and they will see how it feels to have missing things in the closet!

Hi Nancy,

things are going well for me right now, it's clicking! I did something really out of my comfort zone this time. I signed up for 10 weeks of yoga classes with my daughters. Then I went out to wal mart and bought a yoga outfit. I could wear a baggy shirt, but bending over I would flash everyone, so snug (not tight) spandex it is. Best part is ... it's NOT a plus size, it's from the reg sizes in a XL woohoo.

The first class was last night, and there are 4 men in it, yikes! But by the end it didn't seem to matter much. The 90 minutes flew by and I loved it ... I can tell today that my muscles worked, but it's not stiff nor painful. I am looking forward to next Tuesday!

03-03-08, 01:16 PM
Well time to update this journal! I'm adding in more workouts and I love yoga class! I'm drinking more water and I'm eating better. So what's the result? I am offcially down 18 pounds since Jan. 14th! Wow! I love it. No more plus size pants for me. I bought regular sizes and they fit! My goal is down one more size by May is my goal ... I'm gonna make it!

Hi Roo

I haven't been in here before but I saw you in Nancy's journal and see that you love fit day as much as I do. You mentioned that you copied it to another computer - how did you do that? I am getting really into fit day and it has all my stats this year. I really want to back it up because I don't want to lose that - it is my motivation!

IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS YOURS TOO - 13.5 POUNDS! THAT IS TERRIFIC!

It seems like you are watching your carbs too. I was really watching calories and carbs and fit day was showing that I was WAAAAY under on my fibre intake. I have started adding whole grains which increases my carbs but I am losing more weight!

I workout at Curves and I love it but I really want to try yoga. It sounds like you are really enjoying it and I might just use a yoga class as my reward for reaching the next goal!

Keep up the great work!

rooschick
03-07-08, 12:01 AM
Hi Lesley

I copied the backup file and setup file to an external hard drive (I'm a computer geek) and just copied them to the new pc. I ran the setup file first which gave me a nice new blank copy of fitday (you need you registration # which you can get from them if you lost it) and then I ran the backup which loaded all of my info back into the program. Kinda technical, but that's how it's done. You could try burning the files to a CD too.

Right now I am up to 18 pounds since Jan. 14th I'm doing whole grains and cal counting. I workout at home and attend a yoga class once a week. I've had gr8 luck! I also have a yahoo group for added support. Between DT and yahoo group it's been awesome. I have the tools and I'm using them, and you can tell. I'm so excited by this! It's been a long time since I have been able to shop in the reg sizes!

03-08-08, 07:06 PM
Well, this week was a bust! I'm so ticked off with myself. It started last sunday, I was just recovering from the tummy flu and had to take my daughter shopping for some dance costumes. So off we, then we eat in the food court. Ok, not a biggie because we walked a billion miles in West Edmonton Mall, but it continued all week, and the only workout I did was yoga class. I didn't drink my water and I don't wanna get on my scale tomorrow.

However, I hate how I feel. No energy, puffy, tired and just yucky. Today is the last day of my "week off." Tomorrow I will weigh in, and back on track I will go. No more slackin ... I wanna be a size 14 not a 16 (better than the 18 I was two months ago!)

Kick my butt please. I need the ***** kickin.

crazy2
03-09-08, 04:35 PM
Ok, no more slacking. You have an awesome track record and you are not going to break it now. You have come too far and summer is getting closer and closer. I lost this week, even tho I totally do NOT deserve it. I'm doing my best to get back on track and ... I have lost 19.6 pounds this year! Even better, I am almost to onderland! Yes, less than 1 pound to get there! I am so excited!!! I have not been this weight in over six years. :)

Good morning Roo

I too live in Canada but in Capreol which is part of Sudbury Ontario. If you guys are so close maybe you could meet for lunch at WEM someday! I met with Boblin when she came to Sudbury and it was fantastic to get to know a person that you previously knew only online.

I know what you mean about blowing it for a day, just don't let it bring you down so you stay in that mode. Pick yourself up, the weight loss should give you encouragement, and get back in there!

Bragging? Heck that is what we need to do MORE of. You cetainly have something to brag about - almost 20 pounds this year already! At this rate you will be in size 12 by the summer and proud to wear shorts and teeny tops!

Keep up the great work and stay on that path - it is working for you!

Hi Lesley and Nancy.

I'm back on track! My goal this week is onderland, even if aunty flo is visiting. I have my focus back, perhaps it was partly aunties fault, the relapse, I always crave chips then, but not entirely, some was my own for not working out and drinking so much pop. So far I have been back working out, gettin my water (most of it) in and watching what I eat again. It feels good to be back.

I caught my hubby bragging to his friends "the wife has lost almost 20 pound in 6 weeks" last night. :o Oh Oh, everyone knows now, I gotta stay on track!

Nancy, I'm like you ... I find the heat uncomfy, and wear shorts and tanks anyway. I doubt I look "hot" in them, but I feel good.

Lesley, ever meet anyone really stubborn? Ummm, afraid it's me, well telling me if I wanna brag, I gotta stay on track, makes me stubborn ... oh yeah, you want braggin baby, ur gonna get it!:D

Thanks for the butt kick when I needed it ladies, it's much appreciated!

Hi there! Just stumbled accross your journal...and wanted to say AWESOME Job on the twenty pounds! Your doing awesome! I just LOVE yoga...and there are different forms of it..depending on what you want to accomplish...it's marvelous! Yoga and walking are for sure my two favorite forms of exercise!

Hello Suny and Yogi,

nice to meet you both! I'm so happy with my progress, only one thing bugs me. The weight came off my butt and top, but stayed in the middle. Now I have a huge chubby tummy that sticks out (it didn't use to.) BUT ... yes I said but, it will shrink soon enuf! It has to come off eventually.

I really enjoy the yoga class, I'm not sure what we are taking exactly, it's for beginners, but we do some easy stuff, some hard stuff, some balance stuff and relaxation. I love it! I can't remember the names ... but I do remember what we did and can do it here.

Prada
03-14-08, 10:33 AM
I love yoga I have done it for oh I don't even remember probably
more than 10 or 12 years, when I am skinny I can do the really hard poses
right now I can do the moderate poses.
I also love pilates as well.

Have a Namaste day!

rooschick
03-17-08, 01:26 PM
I'm not sure what Namaste means ... since I am a total newbie ... along with all of the terms the instuctor uses, I just know I can do it and it feels good, it also makes me sleep very good after doing it!

Well it's weigh day ... I've lost 22 pounds! wooHoo I'm in onderland! I lost 3.2 pounds this week! Can I brag? Yes I can!!! I would like to add an eliptical to my home gym and perhaps get DH down there ... he's got a little belly he could lose:laugh:

Prada
03-17-08, 04:34 PM
Yes you can brag!
SO brag away lady.
Yay for Roo!
I loved my elipitical I killed mine! lol
I have been looking for a new one but can't find one as good as my old one.

Namaste means alot of things to alot of people but bascially at the
end of yoga you place your hands in front of your heart and slightly
bow you head to others and say Namaste which means respect.

There are many meanings to many people according where in the world
you are from so here are a few.

I honor the Spirit in you which is also in me.
I salute God within you.
We are all equal.
God resides within you.
The divine peace in me greets the divine peace in you.
Your spirit and my spirit are one.
That which is of the Divine in me greets that which is of the Divine in you.

It is simply a respect for the other person and their life.
But I think alot of americans think of it as a peaceful state of being.

Hope this week brings you more success!

rooschick
03-18-08, 01:30 AM
thanks Suny!

Not sure what a good eliptical is, but wallyworld has one that does not look to bad. So far I've stuck with what I have and a couple new DVD's ... nice yoga ones LOL. AM/PM yoga and yoga for beginners ... thats me.

Prada
03-18-08, 09:49 PM
Hi I don't know if you have used an eliptical before or not but there is a world
of difference in them as far as how safe and comfortable they are.

When I purchased mine I paid like $800 bucks for it on sale back 15 years ago.
The ones at wallyworld I don't like because your knee should not go over your
toes when pushing the "pedals" downward that is more of a step eliptical and I
like the ones they use at gyms that is a true eliptical.

I share this because I have tried the ones at wallyworld and all the ones at sears
and every other workout supply store and can't find one except on-line that is
a true eliptical because the point of an eliptical is that there is no stress placed
on the knee but if the knee goes over the toes when stepping down then it
places stress on the knee and isn't good at all for your body.

I have arthritis so this is important for me and really anyone wanting to not
hurt their knees. I purchased a new treadmill last year and it is one of those soft bouncey ones so it is totally different than a regular one as well.
I am still going to get an eliptical though because I loved mine back when I
was skinny and worked out just to stay in shape, ahhh the good ol' days, lol.

Ok sorry for the hijack but I just didn't know if you knew the reason why I don't like
the cheaper ones or ones that aren't a true eliptical kills the knees even on
a healthy person. Most trainers hate them too.

Promise I won't hijack anytime soon again!
Your doing wonderful keep it up!

rooschick
03-19-08, 10:19 PM

You didn't hijack a thing ... I appreciate the input. I have not bought anything yet. I may wait and decide to get one for Xmas, that's how we get the treadmill, and it's not a wallyworld one. I love it and it gets used. Not just by me either. I think I will stick with yoga class for now, summer is coming and I'll be outside more.

Taking care of your knees is important, I have one weaker one, not from injury, but because I am lucky to inherit the family gene for arthritis in the right knee. I have found that flax seed oil and omega 3,6,9 have helped eliminate virtually all joint problems. Only have 1 or 2 flare ups per year as opposed to 2 or 3 a month. Once more thanks for the input, I'll be sure to remember that when I go shopping!

You are doing great Roo! Yes you can keep bragging because you are still doing the "lose" baby! As long as you stay on track you can brag away!

As for exercise equipment, I find the best way to shop is to do it in 2 stages. The first stage is get input from as many places as you can. Check them out in fitness stores (they will be pricey) and get the sales person to explain the benefits of each one. Ask friends and find out what they like and dislike (good advice from Suny)) Then decide on a type and a model or 2 that you like. Buy yourself a "Buy and Sell" or "Siper Shopper" paper - or look on the net for second hand ones. These are things that people get for Christmas - they intend to start the New Year right, and then the equipment sits in the basement and doesn't get used. I have found some really top quality machines at garage sales for under 100 dollars! The cheaper Wlmart models are usuall 25 to 50 dollars but I have seen some under 10. If you can get the machine you want for less - d
DON'T spend the rest of the money! Prentend you paid a store sale price and put the rest away for clothes and a massage when you reach your goal. Often we get to our goal but we can't really afford to treat ourselves - if you put it away (invest in a GIC or something so you can't touch it for 6 months) then you will have a chunk of money for a real treat - because you KNOW the money is there you may even work harder to get that treat!

You are definitely doing the right things so keep on bragging Iwill be checking to make sure you keep earning those rights too! About the kick in the butt - I need those from time to time too - keep up your good work and your butt will be too small for my foot to kicl!

I've been away ... the scale was mean monday morning (too much salt at MIL's dinner I think) I woke feeling puffy and bloated and the scale gave me a gain. First one since I started. BUT ... yes I said but, I drank tons of water and went potty a LOT yesterday, and said pound is gone. Yes I weighed this morning to check. I am working hard for my next goal ... soon I will hit the 25 pound mark ... and it will be reward time, I don't know what to get!

Since this is the last week of the month, I had to measure. I lost 8 inches off my body in March. WooHoo I lost 6 pounds and got into onderland. I am no longer a plus size. I think I didn't lose as much b/c I am gaining muscle from the workouts, but that's ok.

I hope you all had a gr8 Easter and were losers this week!

Congrats Roos on getting right back on track and not letting the gain turn into a get off the diet free card, great job!!! I know you'll reach that next goal. Think of something really great to give yourself for that 25 pound goal reward you deserve it. Keep it up.

Way to go Roo! Losing the inches is more satisifying that losing the pounds anyway. THe pounds are good for tracking until the inches start coming off, but getting into smaller sizes is what makes us all feel good.

A reward? I know I am getting a pedicure before summer (I hope I earn it) so I can wear pretty sandals this summer. I don't think I will make it to the "new bathing suit" reward but I am still going to try. I have to get this off my belly before I will be comfortable in a bathing suit again.

You keep on bragging girl! You have earned that! (and let us know what reward you choose)

The week-end is over and I'm glad! I stayed on track but never had time for workouts ... 5am workouts will never be in the cards for me, I am a confirmed night owl. I think I am nocturnal. LOL.

Anyway, the girls did well in their festival and I didn't cheat. but no loss. I have hit it ... the dreaded plateau. :( I suppose after 24 pounds it's bound to stall. Now I have to rev it up again. Will be looking for a way to do this. I took my 3 month pics ... and there is a noticable difference already. My butt got smaller, but my belly didn't.

I will perservere ... bye bye plateau!
p.s. I can't spell good today, sorry for the typos.

Where did the week go? It's been such a nutso week and it flew right by and I didn't realize it till now!

Still on track, working out a little less, it's a time issue. Still drinking water.

04-12-08, 01:09 PM
Well, I did it. I broke the dreaded plateau finally and the scale is moving once more! What did I do? Nothing, I waited and waited and waited, for 3 weeks. I stayed on track and waited and watched it stay the same. It was really bugging me too! I was 1 pound from my 25 pound goal reward, and I had to wait 3 extra weeks! It was so tempting to have the reward anyway, but I didn't. Ok, now I have to decide what it's gonna be!

It's offcial ... I have lost 26.6 pounds this year.

Crazy,

I enjoyed our chat too, giving advice makes me want to follow it too. Whatever works eh? We can do this ... it's time for me to start looking at dresses, but I don't think I am gonna be a size 14, but it will be really close! Not really gonna enjoy this much, but I plan on buying a tight one so it fits near the end of May (1 month.) Me a coach, yikes! But you have done the same for me you know.

Sunny,

thanks! Gonna keep on tryin anyway. 1 more week of yoga in this session, I will miss it, but I may have time for an odd session in May. I think I'll sign up as a pay n go student ...

Hey Roo!

Sounds like you are doing great. Size 14 might fit - you won't know until you try. Wouldn't it be a great surprise? Don't buy clother too tight though - you won't feel good when you wear them. That might cause a relapse and some stress eating. If you look good you will feel good and it feels much better to wear a 16 dress that is "a bit big" knowing that you will have to get a smaller one soon.

So come back and let us know what you got - pics would be great - model it for us!

Well ... what's new? I got my reward. It's not edible and not really conventional either. I got a tattoo on my back. I really like it, I just hate waiting for it to heal.

The other thing, I got my dress, not a 14, no way that will fit in 1 month. I did get a small fitting 16 and it looks so tiny on the hanger next to the size 20 dress beside it from last summers wedding. It's not tight, but it is snug. It is also stretchy and comfy. Basic black but fits my shape well. I thought to wear my gold shoes and get a nice necklace to accent it, needs some shine, but can be worn so many ways. It was also not expensive, which is good because I plan on getting smaller LOL.

I'm not a stress eater and tight clothing is not a relaspe issue for me, it makes me dig deeper and get to work. In fact ... my small pants got tight at Xmas and started me going here. They no longer fit ... they are too big now. I will have pics on Grad day with my hair done and post em here. I'm still not small ... but I'm a heck of a lot smaller than before!!!

Roos, a tatoo, that is very cool. Will be wanting to see a picture of that when it is healed up. Was this your first one? DD1 and I would like to get one someday. Not sure what I would get though. She is an artist and wants to design her own. What did you get?

Congrats on the 16's, that is wonderful. I will be very happy with a 16!!!

rooschick
04-20-08, 02:06 PM
Hey Crazy,

not my first one, I have one other. Anyone can design one, but I do recommend taking time and putting thought into it, after all, it's there forever! The first one took me over a year to choose the second about 5 months. Not so chicken the second time hehehe.

I have 2 little cherries tied with a blue ribbon on my ankle (first one) and this one is larger and a tribal butterfly on the center of my back between the shoulder blades. It will need a couple weeks to look nice, it's still red and healing.

04-22-08, 11:19 AM
WOW! A tatoo!

I had thought of getting one but I haven't had the guts to take the plunge yet. I can't decide where to put it or what to put on so maybe I will never get around to it.

It is a great idea for a reward though. As you say, it is permanent and you will always know that you succeeded in reaching a goal.

rooschick
04-22-08, 03:18 PM
Like I say ... it's something to think about for some time before doing it. Also do some research on the net, because they do require some aftercare. There are different ways to do it and what my artist recommended was not the option for me. I did however know what needed done because of my research.

It's kinda cool looking, even if it's ugly right now, yes it take about 10 days to 2 weeks to heal up and in that time it looks awful. It also itches, but you can't touch it!!!

Just getting the mobility back into my shoulders now, but because of the April blizzard X-( I will not be attending yoga tonight, travel is NOT recommended. I was thinking perhaps I should setup a small area in the basement and do some yoga down there.
