View Full Version : To eat is a necessity, but to eat intelligently is an art.
FSUgirl 01-24-06, 04:27 PM 01.24.2006
Simply put, I am back.
Many of you may remember my other journal, "Confessions of a Diet-Holic" named after my favorite book series. I vented, succeeded, failed, yelled, cried, and whatever else with that journal. It's been close to five or six months since then, and I am ready to finish what I started in 2003.
Welcome to my world--
I KNOW I will loose this weight, and it WILL take time & devotion.
I KNOW what I need to change, and what I NEED to add.
Yet, I ALWAYS welcome hints, tips, and comments.
----------------------------
MY GOALS:
----* Tone up: Tummy area, legs, back, and arms.
----* Increase cardio: Running, Elliptical, rowing, biking, swimming
----* Weight training: Entire body will go through weight training
----* Decrease soda intake: 1 or 2 a WEEK, that's it.
----* Decrease alcohol intake: 1 or 2 drinks a WEEK
----* Increase vegetable intake: At least 1 or 2 a DAY
----* Decrease portion sizes
----* Attempt 6 small meals a day rather than 3 big ones
----* Cardio in the AM, Weight training in the PM
----* Never miss a breakfast.
In the morning I will attempt to list my eating plan and workout plan of action for the day, and then I will comment how I did at night. I will try different types of exercises as to never get bored of working out. I will push myself, yet, I will be realistic too.
Look out world, here I come :D
littlebeetle 01-24-06, 04:30 PM Welcome back FSUgirl!
You seem on the right track. Congratulations on the tremendous loss so far! Good luck~

* I have the resources of an amazing gym on my college campus, however, last semester, my boyfriend and I worked out together.. whether it was running or him doing weight training in the "big boy area" and I doing weight training in the "girly area"... we worked out SO well. HOWEVER; we are in the process of getting a similar routine down and trying to figure out the hours and times that we can go. We should be up and running by Monday... until then, I will be doing in-home exercises to hold me over and some running around campus. I miss my cardio though!
Today I am going to fill out applications for a serving job because I need some spending money for my cruise, and also to buy a new hot bikini when I loose this weight :D
Have a great day! I'll be back later to let you know how I followed through with my exercises!
runshot4ever 01-25-06, 04:55 PM Isn't that the best? Buying a new hot bikini! My mom is buying me $100 bikini if I lose the weight by spring break...kind of as an incentive, I asked her too and she agreed, I was like hey, I'll look hot and I got a hot bathing suit! Lol, but really it's great, liking to shop for bathing suits.
Hope you get the job!
FSUgirl 01-26-06, 12:33 AM 01.25.2006; 2nd post
The day went pretty well. I really miss doing cardio. I feel myself getting heavier even though I am eating well. Ick! Then again, that could be the lovely "Aunt Red" -- Tomorrow morning, I am going to go for a run for sure, I feel so refreshed.
Tonight, I had a glass of wine. It was a good change from water! I have been without soda for 3 days now! YAY!! A group of my girlfriends asked me to go out and drink with them tonight and I declined. Living in college is definitely pretty difficult considering alcohol is all around, so I am trying to portion out what I can and cannot drink.
Any suggestions?
Next week, my boyfriend & I are getting a membership at the local gym instead of using the school campus gym because it's not as busy at the times we would be able to go.
Pretty successful today overall :)
Is anyone starting a challenge? I would love to join one!
Runshot: the thought of a bikini is SCARY but very exciting! :o
disneygirl 01-26-06, 04:13 AM Hey there, I am new to the site so this is the first time reading your journal. I'm a college student as well, and starting out close to where you did the first time around. I will be checking in, your previous success is already an inspiration!
P.S. I am a server, and it's not only a great way to make money, but it's a workout in itself :)
FSUgirl 01-26-06, 05:54 PM 01.26.2006
disneygirl: we should work together! i am sure we have alot in common, you'll love it here on this site, it is sooo helpful. have you started a journal yet?
So far, my day has been OK- I started my period. YUCKS! AND I woke up pretty late, around 11:30am...But other than that, here's my plan for the day:
Meal plan~
1: granola bar, glass of milk
2: ham & cheese sandwich on carb smart bread
3: celery sticks with peanut butter
4: grilled chicken salad (south beach approved)
Beverage plan~
1: h2o
2: milk in the AM
3: lemonade
Exercise plan~
-100 crunches
-50 leg lifts
-30 squats
-dancing (I'm going to the club that my boyfriend works at tonight with all of his fraternity brothers and a lot of my girlfriends, I am bound to dance up a storm and work off some calories!)
I haven't been out since last Wednesday, so I am looking forward to going out with my girlfriends and have a great time. Alcohol will definitely be a factor, but I have myself under control :)
Have a great day! :mus:
disneygirl 01-27-06, 04:52 PM I started my journal a couple of days ago. I had a good week this week so I'm just trying to keep it up. I'm doing the 40 pounds by July 1st challenge as well (even though I only want to lose around 30 pounds) everyone else doing the chnallenge is amazing. I start school next week so that will really get my butt in gear, no more sleeping til noon! Hope you had a good time out last night. Girls' nights are essential and dancing is a great workout! Keep up the good work! :)
FSUgirl 02-01-06, 07:59 PM 02.01.2006
Tomorrow starts my bootcamp for myself. Right now I am on campus, just got done with my Economics exam... I think I did pretty well. Anyways, waiting for my boyfriend to pick me up, then we're going to the gym to see about getting memberships... I HOPE it's not too pricey! :D
Either way, I still have the campus gym available and it's amazing, however, since my boyfriend is taking a semester off to work more and save money, he's not able to go there... and last semester we made such an amazing work-out team. We'll see what happens.
Tonight, my bf is going to help me measure myself -- I am focusing on INCHES and not WEIGHT!!!
I need some tips and encouragement, for tomorrow on will be EXTREME bootcamp... like kick-butt, no cheat or else... bootcamp.
Cruise is in... 5 weeks.
:help:
Wish me luck... tomorrow is the big day!
disneygirl 02-01-06, 09:37 PM You can do it! Think about it, 5 weeks is such a short period of time and the work that you do will last if you keep up a healthy lifestyle. The results will be well worth the pain! Good luck!
Hi FSU..... I think you're going to do great! Just keep up the determination and try to be consistant and you'll definitely get to where you want to be.
Great journal title, by the way! I love it and you are SO right! Take care and have a great rest of your week!
FSUgirl 02-02-06, 03:17 PM 02.02.2006
Thank yous to Disney & Dj :)
I went to the gym this morning, and did about 50 minutes on the elliptical, it was a great workout. I am now going to take a shower, before going to the grocery store, it's going to be a big trip... I have NO groceries at all.
UGH the weather is horrible here... the rain is coming down so HARD. Which means... tomorrow = VERY cold weather! (good and bad) Since I'm a Floridian, anything under 70º is cold, so... I better prepare myself for the coming weeks.
Danny (my boyfriend) & I will be heading BACK to the gym around 6 or 7pm. Remember... I am doing the lovely 2-a-days from here until March 3rd when I leave for my cruise.
After I shower, I will be measuring myself, does anyone know of a website that guides you on where to measure yourself to get an accurate measurement? Such as: hips, waist, bust, thigh.. etc...
Before I head to the grocery store, I will post these measurements, and then every 5 days or so, I will re-measure and calculate the results.
All or nothing this time :)
I don't know about a website, but I measure upper arms, bust, waist, hips, upper thighs and calves every Monday when I weigh..... if you measure the same places every time you measure, you'll get an accurate measurement for you. Did that make sense? lol
I like seeing the inches coming off, too! You are doing great! 50 minutes on the elliptical is awesome. I had to laugh at the "anything below 70º is cold.... I'm in Ohio where it's REALLY cold and we just had friends that moved to Fort Pierce. He calls me at least 1 or 2 a week to tell me how warm it is. LOL
FSUgirl 02-02-06, 11:13 PM 02.02.2006
Two-a-days are extremely tiring, but wow, what a workout! Here's how my day went:
Workout #1: 50 minutes on Elliptical, total cals burned= 500
Workout #2: 30 minutes of bicep, tricep, and shoulder weights
15 minutes of pure abdominal crunches on aerobic ball
Meals:
-- omelet
-- granola bar
-- chicken, light bacon wrap on carb-smart whole wheat wraps
-- lots and lots of h2o
-- cheese cubes
-- tuna w/ light mayo
-- one hard-boiled egg
Overall- DAY #1 of Bootcamp was a success! No cheating went on!
Tonight is usual girls night, but I am staying in & studying... I can't believe myself... I am really taking control.
31 days until the cruise, all or nothing time.
Tomorrow is a vigerous workout day! EEEK :lift:
disneygirl 02-02-06, 11:32 PM Great job so far!! I know what you mean about the weather. We were looking at 70 degree days here in So Cal for a little while, then today it was all windy and cold. Sucky! Congrats on your bootcamp success so far. Keep pushin!
Hey FSUgirl,
Just wanted to pop in and check out your journal...your plan looks great and you are doing an even better job at sticking to it! I plan to one day do the two a day workouts as well...I will be checking in often to see how it works out for you! YEAH, a cruise!!! Where to??? Just you and the bf going?
Keep up the great work!!!

I am getting in touch with a personal trainer to make sure that my 2-a-days are healthy and that I'm not over-working myself.
This is my day #2 for bootcamp. I'll be back later with my overall feeling on the day, wish me luck :cheer:
FSUgirl 02-04-06, 01:22 PM 02.04.2006
I feel myself slipping slowly to the magazines and beautiful celebrities images -- why do I want so bad to be like someone else? I hate this feeling. It usually happens right when I start my dieting & workout because I strive so much for my goals that I start to make myself feel "BAD" in order to do so much better.
I need to work on that.
For today though:
My workout is going to be fairly simple, if any. I know I will do crunches and leg-lifts (home-gym) types of things. I may make it into the gym for a quick 30 session cardio.
BUT I do need to clean my apartment, so that could be a good workout too, hehe!!!
As for dieting...
1. 2 egg omelet
2. Romaine wrap (romaine lettuce, cheese, ham, & light mayo)
Not to sure about the rest -- I will be back later to finish that up!
disneygirl 02-04-06, 04:35 PM The media sucks! It's hard to not want to look like all the gorgeous celebrities whose images are shoved in our faces everywhere we go. I try to think of it like this, I don't want to look like someone else, I want to look like the best version of myself. It's tough, but hang in there. Be healthy and keep working! You can do it! :cheer:
melfl81 02-05-06, 05:44 PM Hey cutie!
You're looking good!! I am so proud of you!!!! OH I hate the media...everything about our country and how we protray certain people really urks me. I think we have our priorities completely backwards here, seriously.
Keep workign hard!!! It's cold, huh?!
FSUgirl 02-07-06, 12:38 AM 02.06.2006
ACK! Went away for a day or two... been super busy! But I am still hanging in there! Thank you Disney and Mel for the support, you guys are amazing
It seems like the days are just FLYING by, and soon enough, my cruise will be here... I have already come to the realization that I'm not going to look EXACTLY how I want to in a bikini -- but I do know that in 1 month, I will be looking a lot better than I do today, and that in it's self is an accomplishment. I am proud that I am totally motivated to becoming healthier!~
My eating habits of today were kind of "eh" seeing as how I didn't roll out of bed until late, so it set my entire schedule off track.
Workout:
20 minutes of cardio
Weight training- triceps & biceps
Abdominal machine
----
Tomorrow will be a much better day! I hope to be up by 9:30am, in the gym by 10:00am to do my cardio.
:D

maximum 02-08-06, 03:26 PM I love your enthusiasm.. Hey what kind of exercises do you do for your Hiney? Mine is way out of control, Its not even a butt anymore its more like hmmm a wrap around intertube without the front part....:D
FSUgirl 02-09-06, 10:49 AM 02.09.2006
Talk about sore legs.......
I love the feeling of sore legs though! I know that I am actually doing some work! Well, I am up quite early this morning, my boyfriend went to some National Guard meeting with a recruit, and needed to borrow my car, so I am UP for good now. NOT CRAZY about him going to visit with the recruit though... ARGH X-( BUT... we'll talk about that another day because I don't want to make myself angry... I'll just work it off in the gym today!!!! :o
I went out and bought workout gloves since I do a lot of weight training.. they were only $10 at Sports Authority (like an Oshman's) ... my boyfriend bought a pair for himself too... but they were $25. I love being a girl sometimes! HEHE!
I have found myself getting really into "nutrition" sites, and researching weight loss and exercising. It REALLY interests me... if I wasn't already a Junior in college... I may have switched majors!
disney: you are doing sooo well :) Thanks for the support!!
Maxiii: OK GIRL -- HINEY exercises.. in-home workout advice -- walking lunges & squats... with OR without weights... form is VERY important. These two exercises are GREAT for the gludius. In gym -- elliptical machine works really well... ALSO, the "butt blaster" machine... get on all fours and bring one knee up so your quadricep (muscle above your knee) is parallel to the ground and hold high enough to where you feel it... I'll look to see if I can find some more exercises for you!!!!
Overall: I have lost 1½-2 inches in my hips & waist so far, and 1 inch off my thighs. MY trouble spots are sore as ever... I love it.... (obliques, abs, butt, thighs) ... I just WISH that I could see the results with a snap of a finger.. but you know what... it's been ONE week.. and I already feel thinner.. imagine, 3 more weeks from now... I am bound to be feelin' sexy and slim for the cruise of mine! JUST IN TIME FOR CUTE SPRING CLOTHES!!! (Also.. I get to see my Mom since she's coming up to visit my sister & I AND I am going down to Palm Beach/Miami before the cruise to visit my boyfriend's family who I haven't seen in 5 months!!!!)
I have ALOT to look forward too... and with this NEW in-shape bod, I am looking forward to everything EVEN more...
:lift: Workout ---
AM: Cardio hour... treadmill/ellipitcal
- Ab workout
PM: Weight training... light on the legs:
- Lunges
- Squats
- Leg Extension
- Leg curl
* All light weight and high repetitions
ALSO..
I am going to focus on my lower back & back today since I didn't yesterday.
** Tues and Thurs are my TOUGH gym days because I have NO classes, and my gym is litterally a street light away. Instead of snacking in front of the TV... I work out in front of one at the gym!!!
Diet ---
(1.) Omelet
(2.) Tuna with light mayo
(3.) Chicken wrap with lettuce, cheese, and ham
(4.) Steak with veggies
HAVE A GREAT THURSDAY... almost the WEEKEND!!!
stickn2it 02-09-06, 10:57 AM You definitely have a lot to look forward to...great things. You are doing an awesome job though...BEST WISHES!!
disneygirl 02-10-06, 02:53 PM Wow!! You are doing fabulous! It's great that you are so positive and upbeat. You are so close to your goal and you're going to feel amazing when you reach it! Keep up the awesome work! :cheer:
FSUgirl 02-11-06, 02:53 PM 02.11.2006
Ok -- well ; I have been slacking! I haven't eaten the best of foods and I took a day off at the gym to recoup my muscles! It's amazing that usually when I slack off.. it's all downhill - but I am actually seeing what I did wrong, and I am going to do my regular Saturday workout today, and eat fairly well. I'm not going to let one bad day get me down... I have done too well ~
I'll be back in a little bit to post my diet and workout for today!
melfl81 02-12-06, 10:33 AM Keep it up missy! You are doing great, positive attitude, and just think of all those cute spring clothes with your name on them! I am thinking about a cute spring dress to flaunt when we go to St. Augustine for our Anniversary in May....hmmmm...hottie!!! WORK IT!! :)
FSUgirl 02-13-06, 12:29 PM Thank you Mel :) You are such a GREAT motivator!
Yesterday's accomplishments:
Workout: 30 min cardio, weight training = legs (squats, leg curls, extensions, calf raises)
Diet: omelet for breakfast, tuna wrap, and then for dinner -- a bunch of my girlfriends got together and made, caesar salad (lite) with turkey and wheat pasta (sooo YUM) - for beverages: we had wine and Zero cal - diet coke.
TODAY, 02.13.2006
Workout: 15 minute run, full pace ; abdominals & obliques ; triceps, biceps, and back ...
Diet: so far, wheaties with lf milk ; I am in a definite need to get to the grocery store... I have NO more food!!!
----
I am starting to get a little anxious on wanting to SEE results... yeah, I may feel them, but when I look in the mirror, I don't SEE them. Argh... the cruise is in *19* days. I keep telling myself that it's not THAT close .. but in reality, it's in almost 2 weeks... AHH! Anyone ever feel this way before???
disneygirl 02-14-06, 01:02 AM I know what you mean about seeing the results. Have you done a weigh in since you started your 2 a days? I'm sure you have lost, and even if you haven't, you know you are getting slimmer and more toned. Sometimes it's hard to see results because you see yourself so many times a day it's hard to recognize slight changes. If you went straight to your goal, of course you would notice, but it's harder to see the difference when it comes away gradually. But don't worry, keep going the way you are and the results will be seen in no time. Keep up the good work!! :cheer: :cheer:
FSUgirl 02-14-06, 04:33 PM Thank you disney for the support! You are soo right!
02.14.2006
Well it's Valentine's Day.. oh joy~ I have a boyfriend, yet, I am still not excited about the so-called "amazing" holiday. Not too sure why I don't feel the ~love in the air~ .. I guess I feel that it's just over-rated. Maybe if my bf and I were newly together, it would be fun -- but we've been together for almost 11 months now! On to the workout & diet of today (or lack of!) hehe..
Workout:
35 minutes Cardio (treadmill), 10 minutes of high intensity
Lots of stretching
Lunges
Squats
Butt blaster
Diet:
1. Small bowl of wheaties, with lf milk
2. Tuna with light mayo
3. Greek salad (lunch portion)
4. Granola bar
5. Not too sure what we are having for dinner yet~
FSUgirl 02-15-06, 01:04 AM Well I must say, today was a huge disaster. I never made it to the gym and my diet was outrageous. I was good with the bowl of wheties and then a nice low fat meal of tuna with light mayo. I drank lots of water, but I ended up snacking on my sister's brownie, and never made it to dinner.
ARGH X-(
This day really depresses me! I was doing so well for a while. BUT.. tomorrow will be a HUGE improvement. I am heading to bed now, and then I will be up bright and early in the AM to do what I need to do!!! One of which is: GO GROCERY SHOPPING!!!
FSUgirl 02-16-06, 03:49 PM 02.15.2006
I had an amazing workout, even though I didn't make it to the gym until 9:30 at night. I did lots of cardio and talked with some personal trainers. I learned so much about loosing "fat" from cardio instead of burning "muscle" ... it was amazing. My diet for the day went pretty well -- I need to go to the grocery store and pick up some food so that I am actually eating instead of skipping meals.
FSUgirl 02-16-06, 03:54 PM 02.16.2006
After yesterday's GREAT workout, I am all about continuing the streak. I have 16 days until the cruise, so this is buckle-down time.
Workout:
Arc-Trainer-- high intensity, 25 minutes, keeping heart rate low, and then switching bw intervals.
Treadmill-- one mile run, high intensity
Lunges and Squats
Biceps/ Triceps/ Back
Abdominals
(all of these divided into two visits to the gym)
Diet:
1. Small bowl of wheaties
2. Tuna/mayo sandwich on light pita bread
3. Granola bar (oats)
4. Salmon dinner with veggies (courtesy of my wonderful boyfriend)
5. Carb smart ice cream, 1 scoop
I'm in a hurry, so I will be back to let you know how my day went AND to read journals and comment... I have been slacking with giving support! :(
FSUgirl 02-18-06, 02:48 PM 02.18.2006
Wow- the days are FLYING by.. and I am feeling the need for fast results! I have seen an improvement on some of my trouble spots, but others haven't even budged. All I can say is that I look better now then I did a couple of weeks ago.. and that in itself- is enough for me. My cruise departs March 4th. I am SO excited :)
Diet:
- 2 egg omelet with smoked ham
- chicken wrap with lettuce and light mayo
- greek salad
Workout:
- 40 minutes of cardio (20 tread, 20 interval)
- abdominals/obliques
- lunges/squats
:D Hopefully today goes well ! I am LOVING the weather in Florida right now!!
disneygirl 02-18-06, 03:01 PM Well, here in sunny Southern California, it is raining! :( Glad you are having good weather and are feeling good about your progress. Just wait til you see pics of yourself from your cruise, I'm sure you will look awesome! Keep pushing and working, you are almost there! :cheer:
melfl81 02-19-06, 11:37 AM I have to agree with you on the Valentine's, Over-rated, Halmark Holiday. It is a little overbearing and annoying, really. We went to dinner on the Pier at Anna Marie Island and watched some dolphins play in the Gulf. That was the extent of our excitement. He feel asleep when we got home, so no luvin'! Men!!! Keep working hard. I know what you mean when you kick yourself for one minor indulgence, such as a brownie. Ours if Girl Scout cookies, right now....blah!!!! You will have so much fun on the cruise!!! That will be great!!
maximum 02-22-06, 06:09 PM Hey Goily Goil! How ya doin? Where you been? Are you still cruisin to loosin...?
What do you put on your wheat pasta? Sounded Scrum!
FSUgirl 02-24-06, 02:02 AM 02.23.2006
I'M ALIVE, I'M ALIVE!
Have you ever written a huge ENTRY, then have it deleted right before your eyes for pushing the wrong button or something ridiculous?! AHHH X-(
I am still cruisin' to loosin' MAXI -- hehehe; My self control is doing really well especially in the alcohol department. I am doing fabulous for a girl who has the biggest partiers for friends! Whew~hoo. It often ends up in me being the DD -- but you know what, WHO CARES?!
I have been constantly going to the gym and working out - working out HARD, I may add. I have been attempting to eat well, even though the boyfriend doesn't help out all too often... I don't think they understand that girls don't order the same size portions, or NEED the same size portions, but if the food is sitting in front of me.. I can't let it go to waste~ AHHHH!
Staying in tonight .... girlfriend's birthday bash tomorrow at a country Club, where line dancing and country music is played. YeeHaw. THEN, Saturday night, I am going on a hayride with my boyfriends' FRATERNITY, only catch is.... MY BOYFRIEND ISN'T GOING~ Errrgh, sounds like I have a lot of anger built up inside, but I must VENT. Danny and I met last year at his hayride, I was another guys' date, and I ventured off and found Danny somehow. Now, a year later, you'd think it would be all cutie and lovey-dovey to go together, but NOOO.. he has to work! SO -- I am going with his best friend, since his best friend has a girlfriend who lives like 8 hours away... I am doing her a favor! Should be fun considering all the guys are like my brothers and the girlfriends are my best friends!
So beside the festivities of this weekend, my eye is still on the Cruise that departs in ONE WEEK! I'm nervous, excited, happy, sad... all at the same time. I wish I had more time to get in shape, but I can't dwell any more.. I just need to go and have fun!
Diet and workout plan will be posted tomorrow.
Goodnight world, goodnight DT :D
disneygirl 02-24-06, 02:14 AM Hey girl, glad to have you back! Sounds like you are doing awesome, you must be so excited about your cruise!! Keep up the good work, you're doing fabulous! :ex: :ex: :ex:
FSUgirl 03-13-06, 10:19 PM 03.13.2006
CRUISE is over! I had a blast! :)
But now, back to reality -- I still have excess weight to loose, and I am ready then ever to loose it ; I am ready to tone up in the areas I know I need toned!
From here on out- I will focus soley on toning up, and hopefully my excess weight will come off in the process.
A couple of girlfriends and I have decided to train for a 5K run. So, I am sure that I will tone up great for that! :)
I hope you all are doing great! I can't believe my spring break is already over and I am back to classes AND hopefully a JOB soon! HEHE!

Wait - hold up for a second....
I feel like I am going out of control :help:
I have NO motivation to work out.
NO motivation to eat well.
WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?
I have been doing well, keeping in check... and now, I feel like I am throwing everything away. I need to take a night to look at myself and figure all of this out!
I feel like I need a NEW me. My hair is yuck, my body is yuck, my wardrobe is yuck... everything is just gross.
HOPEFULLY... it's just one of those "one-day" things... because I cannot live like this. I need to get myself in order.
Starting tomorrow morning -- it's back to posting, journaling, and keeping myself in check. I want to loose this excess weight for good...
It's been a bad day, as you can tell -- hopefully, things will be better in the AM with a nice long workout!
AzureN1ght 03-15-06, 08:15 PM Hey, FSUGirl! I just wanted to say hello. I'm pretty new here on DT, but, like most of us, I'm no stranger to dieting or trying to lose weight.
I'm a University student also (though I'm way up here in Massachusetts--I grew up in Clay County, Florida.). I thought I'd just say hello--that you're not the only university student out to lose weight and get in shape.
Also, you're not the only one to have bad days! Hang in there! Believe me...letting yourself feel gross and depressed isn't good for you. Try to think about all you have accomplished so far--how your body used to look and feel in comparison to how it looks and feels now! From the look at your stats, you must feel pretty different being 34lbs lighter! (I can't WAIT to be 30lbs lighter!) I'm not saying that we women don't occasionally feel unattractive for no apparant reason--it happens--no matter what your size or self-confidence level. Just don't let it drag you down. When I feel horrible, I feel like giving up and I begin to binge-eat and mope around. Not good. Try to keep things on the up-swing. You can accomplish your goals!

Thank you so much Azure for your support! :)
Well- I took a random trip to Orlando with my boyfriend for 3 days, just to get out of town and visit his family who was staying in a beautiful resort. It gave him time to see his family and of course, for me to visit them as well. The trip was perfect. We needed the break! His family took us to Seasons 52, owned by Darden Restaurants! It was AMAZING! Every meal on there menu was UNDER 475 calories, and their selection of wines was to die for. I recommend it to anyone!
My sister bought a scale while I was gone, and it was the first thing I saw as I walked into my bathroom when I got back -- dum dum dum, the dreaded scale. I stepped on it and I weighed in at 143lbs, 4 pounds higher then when I first weighed myself when I got back onto this website, however, I am still 2 inches smaller in the waist, 1 inch smaller in the thigh and hip. So-- I cannot complain. I always told myself that I wouldn't focus on the poundage.
However -- I am in a slump. I need to get back into my daily workout routine and eating well. So, this starts tomorrow.
On April 7th, I hope to be 4 pounds lighter, that's 16 days. I will go to the gym daily, and actually "WANT" to workout instead of dragging myself. I will go to bed at a decent hour and keep myself hydrated with water and keep healthy foods a main priority.
Why April 7th?!
WELL -- April 7th, 8th, and 9th is my boyfriend's Fraternity formal ball in Savannah Georgia, with the 8th being our 1 year anniversary :) How romantic.
Anyone know anything special to do in Savannah!?! Any good restaurants?!
BESIDES getting all dressed up in a beautiful gown that I already have, I start a job tomorrow being a server, and working 15 hours a week. So that keeps me on my feet, and keeps the snacking out of my hand during the day! AND some extra cash in my pocket! :)
Hope all is well~

OKAY-- so I have started to get myself under control. THANK GAWD!
Yesterday (03.25.2006) -- I had a pretty good workout -- I did 30 min of cardio and lots of abs and some weight lifting for my arms!
Today, I plan on going for a jog around the track at school outside, just something a little different, and hopefully I will be able to run 1 mile, walk 2, and then run another mile without dying.
Some of my girlfriends and I want to train for a 5K. Starting off small- then working our way up to a half-marathon, and so on . . .
As for my diet -- eh, I definitely need some work. I am hoping that with the start of my new job on Tuesday, that I will be able to gain control of my eating habits! :)
I feel so much better that I am going back to the gym on a regular basis, and hopefully with a positive change in my eating habits, I will loose the rest of my weight in no time!!
Mini goal -- April 7th (Loss of 4 pounds)
Mini goal #2 -- April 21st (Total loss of 7 pounds)
Last goal -- July 1st (Total loss of 15 pounds) -- putting me at my GOAL weight!
:cheer:

Wow- March is just flying by!
Yesterday at the gym-- I did lots of cardio, with 20 minutes on the treadmill interchanging fast running on no incline to a brisk walk on high incline. Afterwards, I got onto the ARC trainer -- where I did about 20 minutes on high interval.
I have been trying to routine my life so that I can begin a strict and healthy diet once again!
I intend on going to the gym today -- more cardio and abs. Also- I start my first day at work at a Wing place, where I am a server, so I will be on my feet for 6+ hours! OWWIE!
FSUgirl 04-04-06, 12:20 PM Super quick post -- I haven't been keeping up with exercising or eating healthy AT ALL. And now I am just starting to get pictures back from the cruise -- bathing suit ones... yucks. I feel even worse now! :( Once I get through this weekend at Formal -- it's back to the gym, and back to the grocery store for a check in the food I'm buying. I'll keep ya posted on what I decide to do! For now, it's time to hit the books and work tonight from 6 until 2am! AHHH! Work is such a pain-in-the-butt!
AzureN1ght 04-11-06, 08:27 PM *hug* Hey, FSUGirl, don't be discouraged by your vaca pics! If anything, get inspired by them! Use them as fuel to propel you toward your goal :)
