At this moment I am enjoying my last sandwich as a fat girl. Tomorrow I am starting my diet and exercise regimen, and am having my last indulgence as a not-weight-conscious individual.

Damn, it's a good sandwich.

I'm nervous, I admit. I always start and never follow through. Although... this is the first time I've ever sought out online support. So maybe this time it will be different. I am hoping some of you guys will become my weight loss buddies! Maybe you can subscribe to this thread, and I'll subscribe to yours... and we can support one another on this journey.

I have a lot of weight to lose. Roughly, 150 lbs. I think I can make it, I'm certainly going to try. I plan on going to Australia for two weeks in early August- so I'd love to be down at least 50 lbs by then. With luck and determination, I may even be able to be down more than that! But I'll be satisfied with 50. That's 7 months away, and that is roughly 8 lbs a month, or 2 lbs a week, which is safe weight loss for my size.

I'm not looking for an overnight miracle (though if you got one, I'll take it ;)), just something sensible that works. I've been heavy all my life. I've just turned 19, and I want to enter my third decade in life with a new body.

So I'm asking for your :help:, my new diet friends. May we keep each other motivated, determined, and inspired! 2006 is looking GREAT! :ghug:

Welcome to DT. You will get much support here. Do you have a plan in place? If you do, great! I lost my weight by having a good plan of eating and being consistent with the exercise. I don't like exercising but I have managed to walk 20-30 minutes daily. It is really a "doable" regimen. Good luck with your journey.

:welcome: I wish you all the best on your journey! Stay foucuse and you will get there. You have a good plan at losing about 2 aweek. You want to learn healthy eating, this is a life style change.

If there is anything I can do for you just let me know. I will check back with you and see how you are doing.

I have been out sick for 2 days with the stomach flu!:c( Lost 2 pounds though! gotta look on the bright side. how are you doing?

I finally made it to your journal after trying to for about 4 days now. The last time I lost a significant amount of weight was here with the support DT offers. Then I stopped coming here and.....oops, gained it plus some back. Now I'm here to make it happen again, this time for goal and for good. There is a lot of great support here and great people with ideas and suggests when you need them. What eating plan are you following? Have you set something up? After years of doing "diets", I started just portion control and....at some point (I've been the excuse queen)....regular exercise to reach my goal. Looking forward to keeping tabs on your journal and you! Never be afraid to come post or ask anyone here for support. That's what this place is all about, whether you're on track on not.

Hey girl... I am sorry I haven't written you back yet, I haven't been able to get back in to my email... I messed up sat & today :( I am starting day 1 over tommorrow, lol... I joined a gym & have went the past 2 days tho :D Anyways I'll email u asap :D

lost 4 more lbs & also I forgot to add, my doc said, my highest weight was 299, so i've actually have lost more than what i thought, lol.... yay! :D just thought i'd share, you are doing great, keep it up! :D
