mandy your doing the right thing by eating less and exceriscing its good that you do that and its also good that you start slow like i used to go to subway alot and eat a foot long but now i started doing 6 inches and jsut recently i switched over to a wrap less carbs so its good that you do everything gradually and you will make it!!!!!!!!!!! also go walking at night around your neighborhood is fun entertaining and you get exsercise

Mandy...Welcome to DT. You've definitely come to the right place for help, pointers, encouragement, and so forth. Your greatest accomplishment thus far is that you want to make a change...so CONGRATS!! :cheer: Also, depending on how much you are eating (portion size) you might not consider eating LESS, but eating HEALTHIER. You have to eat, lose weight...believe it or not. You might start watching your portions and incorporating in healthy foods:apple: :tom1: :jn . You definitely don't want to deprive yourself of food by eating too little, but do be conscious of what what you are eating and how much. I hope I didn't just totally confuse you!?!? :-/ You seem to be headed in the right direction with the healthier foods and exercise. There definitely has to be exercise...even if it is just a little a couple days a week until you build it up. Well, best of luck you, and just holla if you ever wanna talk:coach: ...EVERYONE IS HERE FOR YOU.

Hi, Mandy!
The exercise is useful towards burning a few calories and making you feel better about yourself (so long as you watch out for injuries, often by not neglecting warm-ups and being careful of any "impact" aerobics), but the real key is eating healthier (switching to healthier foods [more vegetables, especially the higher fiber variety such as lettuces, much less meats and dairy], and in sane portions).
Good luck on your journey, I'm confident you'll find the help you're looking for, here.
