I go to weight in shortly, and am keeping my fingers crossed!
I have lost 6 of 20 in preparation for my trip to Florida 4/13. My next goal is 43 pounds by my birthday (7/5) which will bring my total desired weight loss to 43 pounds.

Keep your fingers crossed for me! I've been yo-yo dieting for so long that the weight seems to come off much slower! :help:

Just got back from my weigh in -- 2 more pounds gone!!! :) Not too long ago, I would have been devistated to read the scale at 185. After hoovering at close to 200, 185 actually seems okay today!

Another day sticking to my plan. Went out to eat for breakfast -- veggie egg beaters. I wanted the potatoes and toast sooo bad! My son had pancakes that looks great, but I remained focused on my goal and didn't give into tempation. At the time, it may have been rewarding but later it would not have felt too great.

Weekends are hard. I will probably touch back later as this seems to keep me motivated.

GREAT job on the loss so far! You are doing fabulous! Where in Florida are you going? I live near Tampa area, but I'm up in college in Tallahassee @ Florida State! Florida in April is beautiful... as long as it doesn't rain!! Keep up the awesome work -- you WILL do this! :cheer:

Thanks for the response and encouragement. I'm going to Orlando area and can't wait! Does it rain a lot in April? I sure hope not, but if it does, I'm sure we'll find something indoors to do.

Speak about great job, you're doing awesome! You've lost 34 pounds! Wow!! When did you start?

Today is long -- it's Saturday night and I'm in a munching mood. I'm NOT giving in. I ate an apple and decided to get on the computer before I grabbed something else. 2 hours and 15 minutes and I will have made it through Fri and Sat w/out cheating!

Sunday morning and I couldn't resist. I weighed myself as soon as I woke up. Now I'm frustrated! The scale is showing a two pound increase! :-/ This is my home scale and not the scale at the clinic. Hopefully my Monday morning weigh in at the clinic will show better results! I've stuck to the plan perfectly!

Another day another pound. . . I made it through the weekend and lost a pound in the process! Total for last week = 3 pounds! :) I feel confident that I can do this! I have on a pair of jeans today that I haven't worn in 4 months -- they fit! They are not my goal size, but they are a step in the right direction! I am now comfortable in a 12. I'll be in 8s before i know it!
I can do this~!

Everything well on this end -- no major cravings or temptations. I feel great physically and mentally. I am getting more and more excited about my vacation and more and more motivated to lose weight! After Florida, I am going to plan a trip to Mexico for the fall. Thus, I have many reasons to remain on focus and stay healthy!

Hi CFdburn! Your journal caught my eye because one of my goals is the same as yours, to lose 20 lbs. by the time I go to florida (actually it was 22 lbs.:)) I'll be going on march 5th and I'm 8 lbs. from that mini goal. I'm starting to doubt whether I'll make it though because my weightloss has slowed down a little and it's just under 3 weeks away! I'm hoping if I'm really disciplinned I can get it down though! Good luck on your journey and congrats on already losing 9 lbs., you're really doing fantastic!!! :cheer::cheer:

Thanks for your support, Tally! Whenever I seem stuck at a weight or my loss slows down, I try to do something different -- cut out fruit for a few days or something. I then get a noticeable drop. I haven't experienced it yet this dieting round, but I know I will. The scales don't always cooperate.

I am struggling with eating anything today. The diet I am on (Medical Weight Loss Clinic) has a high fiber Jello and I am so grateful as that is all I can eat this evening. I had two of the protein bars earlier (breakfast and lunch) but had to force myself to eat them. If I don't eat, I get terrible headaches. But, I am now done for the day. I am sick and heading to bed early!

Since I had to go out anyway, I stopped by the clinic for a weigh-in. I'm showing another pound loss, which didn't really surprise me since I've been sick and not able to eat much.

I'm still feeling horrible and heading in for a nap. :(

Hey you~ Sorry it's taking me so long to reply -- Orlando is SO much fun! And... it does rain everynow and then in April- but overall, the weather is BEAUTIFUL!!! Oh man, I have bounced back and forth the past couple of years. I started my little journey in 2003 -- And, I am so happy to have gotten this far ... I truely NOW know that weight loss is a "lifestyle" change, not just a short period of exercising here and there. But anyways, congrats on your weight loss so far! Keep it up!!!!! You'll be looking fabulous by APRIL!

I can't wait to get to Florida and away from this cold! I am sticking to my plan, but I am not exercising as I should The last few days I've been sick and not feeling like doing much of anything. Maybe next week I will get back into my exercise routine. I have a gym membership and just need to use it!

Today is Friday and weekends tend to be the toughest for me.
Keep me in your thoughts!

I am starting to feel better. My cold is passing! :)
I haven't ate too much the last few days and need to get back into the swing of things. I am making sure i get my proteins in, but I haven't had my veggies or dairy. Today should be better!

Wow! I really haven't ate, yet I gained a pound. My body works in strange ways. My formal weigh in is tomorrow, so i'm not going to worrry about it. I'll see what the scale reads at the clinic.

I haven't posted in a week! Things have been so hectic. The clinic put me on a new plan because I showed a 3 pound gain and want this weight off today! I am now on 4 nutrients and two meals a day with extra fiber. I see the doctor on Monday and will like switch to medication with four nutrients and one meal a day! It seems hard, but the nutrients are shakes or puddings and I also get a protein bar during the day as well as a couple fiber jellos.

I overate two times since I've been on this plan. Last weekend, I ended up eating (over two days) two fattoush salads (not horrible, but not on my plan) AND hummus (again, not horrible but high carbs and not allowed on my plan!). Last night I was allowed 4 1/2 cups of popcorn because I had not had my three starches yet. However, I ate the whole bag of popcorn! :(

I really want this weight off, yet sometimes I cave in to the cravings! With this new plan, I am supposed to lose 15-20 pounds the first month. We'll see! If so, I will be VERY close to my goal weight by my trip.

Today I have a baby shower. I am planning accordingly. I am not eating any of my allowed starches, proteins, or veggies and only one of my 3 fruits before the shower. That allows me some options once i get there (hopefully).

Oh well, I've rattled enough. It's been so long since I've posted that I felt out of the loop. I need to stay connected to stay motivated!

Another gap between postings. I guess my motivation is decreasing. This new plan I am on is tough, but I am sticking it out. My formal weigh in is Monday, but today the scale showed me at 181! I hope I am under 180 by Monday!

Tired tonight and don't really feel like typing. Maybe I'll add more tomorrow!

Everything here is moving along. I'm still showing at 181 and my trip to Florida is getting closer. It would be nice to be in the 60s before i go! My plan has me one one meal a day, which doesn't leave any room for cheating. I have nutrients throughout the day, but it still seems like a long time without real food. I'm signed up for this program for 16 weeks!! It's going to be interesting as I am bored the first real week! My mother is doing WW and lost 6 pounds last week. I am so happy for her.
Anyway, off to begin my day. The weekend is starting!

Following that 3/3 post, my motivation decreased. This past week, I have been on track and lost what I gained during my binge.

I'm doing the medication and adjusting. I've only been on it a week today. Other than horrible taste in my mouth, no major side effects. I just hate the way my mouth taste and I'm very worried about bad breath!

I am only 7 pounds away from my original short term goal. As Florida is 25 days away and I am now on medication, I am increasing my goal. I want to lose 15 pounds by my trip to Florida. This will be tough and I may not make it, yet I am going to try very hard! I am 180 today and would LOVE to be in the 60s by my trip. My total goal weight is 143 but my goal weight for my trip is 165! I can handle being 22 pounds over weight. Being almost 40, however, is not something I can handle any longer! I am fairly tall and believe my weight is evenly proportioned - 20 pounds can be hid for the time being. When I take my next trip, however, it will be off!!!

Better start my day. . . lots to do for a Sunday!

It is Sunday evening. . . not too bad today. I ate a Fattoush salad and a bit of pita bread, neither of which are allowed, but I really don't feel too bad about it. Fattoush is one of my favorites, and it can't be that bad -- can it? I wonder how many calories a small fattoush is. Hey, I skipped the hummous! That should count for something!
I wonder what the scale will read tomorrow. . . the truth will be told!

Monday was another stand still. Today, however, I finally broke out of the 80s! I weighed in this morning at 179.2! It wasn't as easy as I hoped, but the weight is coming off!
I am sticking to the plan today perfectly as I want this weight off!

Stuck to the plan all day. I am not really craving anything, but I also just came off a binge the last week or so. I think the medication helps as I don't feel hungry at all. When I look into the mirror, I don't like what I see. My weight hurts my self esteem and outlook on life. I must stick to this. Not only for Florida, but for my life. I don't want to be fat anymore!

I have no patience! I weighed 179 yesterday but was hoping for 178 today and actually found myself disappointed when I stepped on the scale. Actually, the scale showed a 2 ounce increase!! I understand that logically I should not be disappointed as the scale will go up and down. However, it is disappointing! Anyway, my trip to florida is 3 weeks and 1 day away! It's getting so close, yet I am still carrying a lot of extra weight.
Let me make it through today without breaking my plan. One day at a time. . .

178.6 today and I didn't even do that good last night! I had a really stressful night and ended up eatting way too much Fattoush w/chicken and pita bread. The fattoush wouldn't be too bad except for the olive oil. I am happy to see the loss regardless. When looking at the whole picture, I really didn't do too bad. The fattoush is all veggies and it is all i ate all day. The plan I am on has me on one meal! I stuck to it perfectly.
Anyway, time to start my day.

The weekend was tough for me. I had temptations and cravings all weekend and ended up messing up more than once. I'm not going to weigh myself today as I am sure it is bad news! I'll wait until tomorrow and stick to the plan perfectly today!!!

I can't believe I am leaving for Florida in 2 1/2 weeks!! It would be so nice to be out of the 70s before I go and maybe even continue losing while I am there! I have to stay motivated. The week days aren't too bad -- it's the weekends that hurt me.

My next goal by 4/13 is 169. It is going to be hard to drop that much weight, but I am going to try! I need to add exercise to my routine. Maybe today. . .

My trip is almost here and I am not where I want to be, but I am better than I was!! I am floating between 176 and 177 -- it is sooo frustrating! I hate when I hit these stand stills.

Anyway, I am sticking to my plan. In 10 days, i will be flying out. I am sure that I can at least lost a few more pounds before I go. This week has been slow, but I am not going to get discouraged!!

Well, I am down another pound. According to my scale, I am 175!! I have 10 days before I leave. I wonder how much I can lose before then - my goal is 169 before Florida. I would be sooo happy to be out of the 70s!! My final goal will take some time, but I have hope that i will be thinner than I was last summer! Last summer I was too embarassed to even wear shorts in public -- this year will be different! I will be wearing shorts daily and looking good in them!! :)

I am at 172 today! This is a big drop from yesterday!! :)
My weight seems to go in cycles -- I stay the same for days and then all of a sudden drop. I am now very confident that I can be out of the 70s before Florida and at my goal by my birthday (7/5).

I will stick to my plan today and remain committed to my healthy life style!!
