I say here I go again because I can never keep a journal going. When I am working I am just to tired to in the evening to get on the computer. I am laid off right now so I have plenty of time on my hand.
I am doing the Discovery Channel National Body Challenge. I really doing great with the exercise part of it because my township is allowing all residents to use the fitness center at the new school for free(my taxes is paying for it). I am loving it. I go at 6 a.m. each morning for an hour if I am working and one hour and a half if I am not working. I have been doing this for three weeks now. I can only going 4 days a week. I really do feel a difference. The only exercise I got today is shoveling snow.
Now I need to get my portions in check. I am also having problem with retaining fluid. I am taking a fluid pill but I get up in the mornings with swollen feet. My doctor is having test done but so far everything has come back negative. To me that is a good thing. I will keep trying to get my food under control.
Breakfast:
1 cup of cereal
8oz. of milk
Lunch:
2 slices of whole wheat raisin bread
1 tbs peanut butter
16oz. of flavored water
3 pieces of smoke neck bones(this is really a no no)
Dinner:
a garden salad
chicken
string bean
tea/w lemon and sweetener
I am going to try an keep this going even if I just post my food in take and exercise for the day.

I went to the fitness center this morning but I had a hard time getting out of bed. I only did 20 minutes bike, 20 minutes treadmill and 7 minutes elliptical rider. The elliptical rider is taking me a bit of time to get use to. I am going to try and stay a minute longer each day.
My husband just called to see if I would like a sub for tonight but I am try to get away from eating all that bread.
I really trying to stay focus, today. So far so good.

Journaling has not been a task that I am good at doing. I am going to try this a again.
This has been a year of my weight going up and down like a yo-yo. I am determine to been success at this before it is to late. I am beginning to a few health problem because of my weight. So I must do something about it.
I was going to TOPS but I really love the socializing but I was gain not focus enough to remain a member. The only I have been successful at in the pass has been Weight Watchers. So last Friday, I joined Weight Watcher again. My first impression of my leader was very good. Also today I received a postcard from her. I realize that may be one of the requirements of her job but it made me feel good that she took the time to send it to me. She express a feeling of wanting to help you go forward. I think I am going to do well at this. I have only told a few people that I was going and that is also a good thing. I really want to go by myself this time. I do want to support the people that are there. I must say I did not start this week of very good.
God keep placing people and thing in my life that He is try to show me that He wants me to be healthy and have better quality of of life. If that makes any sense.
I am going to the gym 4 days a week and walking Saturday mornings at the park. Before I started going to the gym I had a hard time just moving. All this is free to the township residences. I will also have a personal trainor this summer. They have hired him for the summer. He is college student majoring in sports medicine. I start working with him next week. I am at the gym for a hour to and hour and a half.
Today was so hot that I did not eat a lot so I don't know what my points were. I will be back to work next week so know I will be doing better.
Well that is enough babbling.

Hey Alampkin,
It was good to chat with you the other day and guess what. I am not sure if it was because of our chat but today I descided that I was going to give WW a try. Not going to meetings but just counting points. My daughter did it for a while this spring, but I stubbornly held to calorie counting, lol. So now I am ready to give points a try, I learned how to do it when she was and it didn't seem too hard, except that it did seem like alot less food. But that was when I was shooting to be no more than 1800 calories, and lately I was shooting for 1600, so that should help.
I hope you have great success with your personal trainer this summer, that sounds like a good idea, just for the summer.
Well, I will try and make it back soon. Keep up the good work.
