Hi all! I'm Katya, and I suppose this would be my generic newbie post. The forums here are so full of support and kindness. I'm anxious to grab a little of that for myself (and happily dish it out in abundance!)
I'm twenty-five pounds from my longterm goal weight, which is an exciting place to be considering I began this process several years and more than fifty pounds ago. These are definitely proving to be the most difficult for me. But I've kept going as I have from the beginning, taking it off ten pounds at a time however long it takes, "I will try again tomorrow" as my mantra. I'm an emotional eater, so I try very hard to take into account how I'm feeling before I raid the fridge.
It seems as though I've lost and gained the same five pounds a dozen times! I'd like to try setting small goals, maybe 4-5 pounds per month, and see if I have a little more success with that approach.
