Ok so I'm returning again... I lost a whole lot of weight before I moved to the US but after just 2 months here I had regained the bulk of it (Lost 50 pounds, regained 30). That's about where I'm standing now, 183lbs, according to the scale yesterday morning.
What I need to learn is how to not go berzerk over dieting. That's what I did last time, I got obsessive about it and could not possibly think about anything else. As we all know that's no way to live.
I am now working full time, which is actually for the first time in my life. I have always worked between 30 and 100%, but not keeping at the 100 for a very long time. So I need to learn how to put in my exercise regime and eating to work with that.
I am currentely trying to make myself go to the gym every morning, which is not actually a problem once I get there and I have access to a really good gym through our rental company, takes me a whole minute to get there so it's really not a problem. The problem is to motivate myself on the morning when I start at 8, which means I have to take the bus at 7:20. I do get up at 5:30 with my husband but it's still hard to drag your butt to the gym some days as I'm sure alot of you know.
Since I have never really worked full time before I'm having issues with staying awake and keeping the energy for cooking dinner or even just planning dinner with my husband. As he will cook if I don't. Now alot of days I find myself saying "Let's just go to 'insert name of fastfood restaurant here' I don't want to cook".
So to make myself get back into all this again I'm going to make an effort to just write in this journal every day about what I've eaten and how much exercise I've gotten, along with the normal day to day struggles. If nothing else it will help me see patterns in my behaviour.
Exercise - 40 minutes on the crosstrainer
Food:
Breakfast - Roundys granola cereal with skim milk
Snack - Apple, a piece of twix (bad me) and a few peanuts
Lunch - Will be soup or sallad, haven't really decided yet.
Snack - probably apple
Dinner - Soyfried lean beef with rice, cabbage and leek.
