The FSA has published a consultation to explore ways of reducing the average amount of saturated fat in people's diets and help make it easier for people to eat more healthily. The deadline for responses is 19 June 2007. Gill Fine, Director of Nutrition and Dietary Health at the Food Standards Agency (pictured), said: 'Cardiovascular disease is the main cause of death in the UK and poor diet is thought to be responsible for a third of these deaths.
