I would like to post a blog here if it is ok. I am trying drop about 40 pounds. I have already lost 9.5 pounds. I started my diet on May 2. My start weight was 213, right now I am at 203.5, and my goal is around 170. My first goal is to get to around 190. I would like to get there around June 30th. Hopefully I will get there sooner, though.
Right now I am exercising 20 minutes a day and eating about 2000 calories a day. I'll see how that goes and adjust things as needed.

Yesterday I stayed on track. I Ate about 1900 calories and exercised for about 20 minutes. I am trying out playing Dance Dance Revolution the videogame for exercise. It is interesting and you can get in a good cardio workout but the game is hard.
Today I got in 30 mins of exercise. My mom sent me a gift package full of chips and cheesy crackers tonight(I haven't told her I'm trying to lose some weight) so that made things difficult. I stayed close to what I would like to eat, I ate about 2150 calories. A little high, but I didn't go overboard.
I think tomorrow I might hit 10 pounds lost, so that will be good.
bringyoudown 05-21-07, 04:59 PM Well, today I hit 202.5 pounds. So that is 10.5 pounds lost. It took 20 days to lose ten pounds, so maybe in another 20 I will have hit my first goal of 20 pounds lost.
Last night I ended up eating some more crackers, so I probably ended up eating about 2500 calories for the day. I thought that would push my weight up a little, but it didn't. Maybe it sped up my metabolism or something.
I'm doing good so far today. I still need to exercise. I'm trying to give up caffine because I drink way too much pop. Even if it is diet pop, it's probably not too good for me. Hopefully I can do it.
bringyoudown 05-24-07, 06:21 PM Well, my weightloss has pretty much stopped over the last few days. I've actually gone up a few pounds. I'm eating and exercising the same as I have been. I guess I'll give it a few more days then I might have to lower my calories or do more exercise.

You are doing just great. Unfortunately the weight loss seldom happens at a steady rate, there are often bumps along the way.
Just stick to the plan you have been doing, drink plenty of water, be careful of those crackers and things like that, and you should see a continued weight loss quite soon.

I'll keep going the way I am. I think I can keep losing on what I'm doing.
It's the end of the week and I'm at the same place I was last week but at least I'm lower than where I started. I've done pretty good the last few days. Ate within my calorie range and exercised. Hopefully I'm down a few more pounds next week!

Remember that when you start a weight loss/exercise program the first week or so is usually the time you lose the quickest, so don't get discouraged if things slow down, just keep going forward :up:

Well, I kept on my diet and exercise routine through the weekend. I am down to 12 pounds lost. For exercise I've been joggin in place and it seems to be a good workout. Otherwise, I had a pretty boring weekend. Tomorrow I got to go see about a job. Hope I can get it. Then next saturday is my birthday.
