I would like to know if antibotics make you gain weight my doctor says no?
I was put on biaxin yesterday. I have a bad sinus infection. I must take it if not it will make my ashma worse. I have stayed OP matter of fact I barely reach low range of point. I have not been walking in 3 days. I feel so weak Im afaird to try. I hope to walk with friends to night. I usely walk 3 miles .
The good thing is food dosent appeal to me. Thanksgiving should be a breeze. The pill have a meatalic after taste and food taste gross. Any advice will be helpful. Happy successful Thanksgiving. angelmom

Angelmom, just do what you need to do to take care of yourself and get well. The weight thing should be secondary to your health. I've never heard of antibiotics making you gain weight either. Just eat to keep up your strength so your body can fight the infection. Take care and rest easy.... have a nice Thanksgiving!

Sorry you're sick, Angelmom! Get some rest...its the best thing. Easier said than done when you have little ones I know. Anti-biotics will not cause weight gain, generally. They have no action on the metablism. They might give you diahreah or a yeast infection.

Nope no weight gain from antibiotics I take 3 a day and will for the rest of my life because of my kidney problems..BUT YOU BETTER TAKE EM GIRL..cause the steroids you will get for that ASTHMA WILL DEFINATELY make ya gain..hehee
