I love green tea! Does the advice "drink lots of water" mean water-water or does
water-based stuff like my beloved tea count too?

If you have decaf green tea then that counts towards your water, discomama. But the rule of thumb is anything with sugar, caffeine, or carbination in it doesn't count as your water. I have decaf mint green tea that I like and it's green tea is supposed to be very good for you.

I drink a caff'ed green tea in the morning, and then after lunch and the rest of my day is decafed. I like the Tetley brand green tea otherwise I prefer japanese loose green tea.

Otherwise I drink water. Boring life, eh?

As a Weight watcher any thing that is sugar free and caffene free counts as half a water from what I understad. Plain water is the best for you. I think its best not to try to fool your body. Try just adding lemon to cold or hot water you can fool your taste buds. good luck angelmom
