For the past few weeks, I have been kind of dreading Christmas when it comes to the eating part. I have come to the point now where I feel that all this worrying is going to take some of the enjoyment out of Christmas. So here is what I have planned.
Since I have fallen off the wagon this past week, I am going to start over Monday AM and am going to really really try to eat more sensibly from now until Dec.25th. On Dec. 25th, I am going to call it a "FREE DAY". This is the day I am going to enjoy a little bit of everything, so I will not feel deprived. Of course, I mean sensible portions only. If there is any pumpkin pie and baked goodies left, I will be sending them home with the guests. My goal for the end of the year is to maintain my 80 lb loss.
OK, enough about me, what is your plan?

Hi Diane, Holiday's are such a challenge, eh? Breath in, breath out, and "walk" through it...and get rid of the leftovers! I'm sure we'll all have a bit over what we should, but it'll be ok, just keep comin back to what works.

We must deal with this holiday with a plan and stick to it . We must tell our selfs we are in contol not the food. we must look at all the our options and choose only one thing that we really want. I am a weight watcher and we have no forbiden food. But I must count my points and save for something I really want. I do not diet I just make better choices. good luck and happy holidays to you angelmom

We are human:) All we can do is take one day at a time! One meal at a time! Today I can do this. ;)

This may not be for everyone, but this year we are eating out. I decided I did not want to put myself through the exhausting work of cooking and cleaning to get the dinner done, so my family and I are going to a really really nice restaurant here instead! I did this for Thanksgiving and LOVED it! Not only was I much calmer, but when the dinner was over, it was over! No left-overs, no fuss, and no exhaustion to medicate with food!

I will be going to my daughters for dinner. This is the first time I have not had to cook in about 25 years! I figure since left-overs are one of my main problems at least for once I won't have to contend with that. Otherwise I just want to try and control myself and enjoy my kids.

My plans are to be really good all this week before the big feast. Then when the big meal arrives - I going to fill my plate with veggies first, then turkey, then a spoonfull of what ever else calls my name. And if I want dessert I'm going to have !! And if things get to out of control - then I'll start again the next day - LOL :D

My plan is to EXERCISE,EXERCISE,AND MORE EXERCISE!There are too many parties and get togethers and food is almost unavoidable. So, I will hit the gym every morning and eat my way through the holidays.Hopefully, I will maintain and not gain.It has been working so far. Then, when January comes I will be out of excuses and I will have to start eating healthier!!!!! :D

I'm hostess this year. The menue includes Roladin, mashed potatoes, gravy, salad, grean bean casserole, New England Indian pudding. Cookies, candie, fudge and fruit are also included. My plan is simple. Take care of everyone, and enjoy my time with them.

My plan is to enjoy the day, and not worry about what I eat and what I don't eat. After all we shouldn't be so stressed out during the holidays that were not enjoying them. I seem to have a bigger down fault on New Years eve. I usually like to just stay home watching reruns on Nick at nite, and indulging in what ever I want to eat. Then on the 1st I go back to my sensible eating and exercising.

happy holiday everyone

Mine is to preplan for the Xmas feast. I know basically what my inlaws serve and my mother so I will plan ahead. I've come too far to ruin it for myself now. I never want the big person to attack me again..LOL And to remind myself I keep that before picture handy.
