under where it talks about IE6 or IE7 right hand side just under that is the Page #

Just under that in a little red box is a red g =1 if you hold your cursor over it says Publicly +1 this as Louise ******... what is this all about I do not like it if others can see it but I kind of think I can only see it on my end but others should be able to see their name on their pages I am using Firefox...
Would like this explained please..

Lulu, sorry, not a mod but thought I'd stick my oar in and say I think you are talking about the g1 button that would link you to Goggle+ ... it's like the Facebook and Pinterest links.

Hi lulu. It's a link to google plus. You must have a gmail account or some google account somewhere, and your computer has cached your credentials. It only shows that to you, the rest of us don't see your name. When I hover over it, I see my name. It allows us to recommend a page to google plus, very much like a Facebook "like". It's nothing to worry about. It's not divulging any information about you.

G+ icon has been there for at least 6 months, I think. If you don't want to use it, there is no issues. It's similar to Facebook "like".

ok thanks John.. It probably has been here for 6 mths I just noticed it the other day. .Thanks also Kilogo..I do use gmail.... I thought it was connected to Google but was afraid of my privacy and my personal info.. Thanks to both of you

It doesn't matter if you use gmail, pal. If you haven't signed up for google+ that link should not be showing you anything but "publicly recommend on google" with a pale grey question mark on it in a circle.

As you know I have recently had a privacy issue of huge magnitude and you are right to be concerned and ask about anything that you wonder about. Glad you brought it up.

I have not signed up for Google+ so not sure what to do? thanks for your help pal.. I know you have had issues just recently.. thanks pal! I verified all my programs and I do not have Google+ nor Google chrome... I do have Google earth.. and beside the G+ is a square box beside it with 0 inside the box

All google accounts are linked. If you sign up for one, it sees your name on all.

My screen shows plus 1 on the box, but it is the same thing. You don't have to do anything.
