Many people deal with diseases or conditions that are caused by inflammation in the body. A lot of people believe that these diseases or conditions are 100% genetic and that they have no control over them. The truth is, some of these diseases are brought on because of genetics. However, you can change the course of the disease and/or condition by consuming an anti-inflammatory diet. Below we will discuss some of the things that you need to do in order to eat an anti-inflammatory diet.

What To Do:

1. Drink Water

The first thing that you need to be sure of when you are trying to complete the anti-inflammatory diet is to drink a lot of water. You should be drinking nothing but water or drinks that are mostly water. These drinks include; tea, fresh fruit juice, mineral water, etc. All of these drinks should be consumed on a daily basis or throughout the day. This is going to ensure that you get enough water into your diet. You should always try to use either; bottled water or water that has been filtered through a home water purifier. This is to ensure that you do not constantly absorb different toxins or contaminants that are present in tap water.

2. Vitamins and Minerals

The best way to get the proper amount of vitamins and minerals into your daily diet is by consuming a diet that is very high in fresh foods with an abundance of vegetables and fruits. These foods are going to be the best thing that you can consume for reducing the overall amount of inflammation in your body. The reason why these foods are so good for reducing inflammation is because they are very high in antioxidants. The antioxidants work to reduce the amount of inflammation that you suffer from and they can also help ward of diseases because of this. Some of the best fruits to get into your diet are; oranges, berries, etc. Some of the best vegetables to get into your diet are; leafy greens, carrots, sweet potatoes, etc.

3. Fiber

You can achieve better fiber intake by eating a diet that is high in fiber. Some of the best foods that are high in fiber are fruits. Therefore, by consuming a lot of fruit in your daily diet, you should be able to achieve the recommended fiber intake throughout each day.

4. Protein

Your diet should also be rich in protein. Typically, you should consume around 80 to 120 grams of protein per day depending on the amount of calories that you intake every single day. You should try to decrease the amount of animal protein each day except for fish and different high quality yogurts and cheeses. This is going to ensure that you reduce the overall amount of inflammation that you suffer from in your body.

As you can see, there is plenty that you should be doing on this diet. The diet is designed to reduce the amount of inflammation in your body by decreasing the amount of omega 6 and omega 9 that you consume. Because the diet is designed to decrease the amount of inflammation, it is very high in antioxidants. This means that you should be consuming a lot of fruit. Fruit typically contains the most antioxidants. Therefore, it is literally one of the best food groups that you can get into your diet.

Also, you will want to consume a lot of omega 3’s which you can get from fish oil supplements or fish in general. By following this diet, you should be able to reduce the amount of inflammation in your body.
